This was the 3rd school/daycare that we have taken our child to and it is by far the best one! He has advanced so much since he had joined Monica and her staff. His personality is really showing and All of the teachers there really show him so much acceptance and love. You get a warm and welcoming vibe from the environment and from the teachers. We are a military family with deep roots in business, politics, and government and medical fields. While on duty in Dallas my daughter delivered our first grandson while living in Dallas. Our family is intentional on health and wellness and educational values from early in utero. Our grandson Prosper was nursed until age 2, and my daughter was blessed to stay home with him his first year of life. Prosper is an intelligent, vibrant, happy and easy-going, fun loving child we believe in gentle parenting, holistic living and we are big on family and traveling the world to see and experience new adventures to broaden our understanding of all cultures; we knew we couldn't teach Spanish as the immersion school can, so we had to have him learn early since Spanish is not spoken In our homes regularly, although we have part Spanish heritage. Upon hitting 1 year old we started looking for immersion schools that are nurturing, organized and superior in learning and growth of the young mind while gaining second language skills. We toured so many schools in Addison, Frisco, Dallas and Richardson and surrounding suburbs to find the perfect fit, we decided on a school that was reasonably priced and had a pretty nice staff and seem to be a great program. We found out quickly it was the WRONG fit for Prosper he came home screaming daily for his mom, and he literally looked like zombie on pick up daily. I even showed up several random times during classroom time and he was crying , sad and not learning just in a "babysitting" environment, where staffed looked young and stressed out. We stayed only 3 days and kindly told the director of the decision. We then began the search again, but this time had high hopes that we could find a spot for our Prosper that's close to home, kind and works like a Montessori style school but immersed in learning and Spanish, nurturing and also affordable along with nurturing staff and director . You would think this would be easy however it was very challenging to find all these check marks and have an opening for him in the program. Well after long searches and tiring interviews the process of interviews, meetings , tours and paperwork was tedious. We met Monica the director over the phone and her spirit is sweet, detailed in the passion and love for children, super kind, and gentle hearted. It felt like the warm fuzzy feeling you get when we would visit South America and enjoy the culture of family and Pride of culture. We set a family video meeting up, we then set a tour up. Finally we both decided it was a good fit and Prosper began school at what we call the BEST experience he's had in his life of 2 years on this earth: as grandparents we were all Living abroad and could not see Prosper so it was important we knew that his daily activities were filled with special moments that all young learners should have; gardening, dancing, music, math, science, Spanish; mandarin, celebration of life, rest, positive words, SUPER clean environment (no outside shoes inside policy for everyone) - no school I've met does this) and healthy food, healthy mind healthy body healthy spirit . From the time Prosper began school at BWK he LOVED school at 1 year old to 2 year old he leaned so much! BWK provided a grandma type of envirmeont with a high end private school immersion of Montessori nature and Spanish and mandarin blend! Honestly I don't know how Mrs Monica does it but she has the BEST school and we've raised 6 kids and have yet to see a school powered like hers! BWK has continuously wowed us: daily access to pictures teacher notes, to holiday parties to l the musical activities, to seasonal picture day, to dancing, Singing to the feeling of pride and love and respect and confidence that BWK and his teachers that quickly became the family Prosper so needed in his first year placed in his life- it's hard being military moving and they made his first year a special one! BWK set the bar so high that we had to move abruptly and can't find a place like Mrs Monica's BWK! Mrs Monica accommodated a quick refund on our end, and a beautiful farewell to Prosper. She ensured he exited with love as the same way he was entered with love and gentle life lessons. Prosper always from DAY 1 jumped out the car with a smile and walked hand and hand with his teacher to the car at the end of EVERY day with a smile and hug! Positive touch, positive words and positive vibes are all this baby received! This is not a paid review this is a grandmother telling you to take your child here and you Won't regret it!! Absolutely no one can touch her passion and vision for a school it should be duplicated! We would have let him grow up at BWK until they kicked us out had the military not move us! Our daughter attends Whiz Kidz, and we absolutely love it! She has blossomed into a multilingual and well-mannered child. She enjoys her time with friends and her Maestra and looks forward to going to school everyday. The director is absolutely wonderful, hands on, and overall very caring individual which makes me feel great about sending my kid to her school. If we were not moving away to another state, our daughter would continue going here until she was ready for kindergarten. read more

My 4 yo son has been attending for 3 semesters and my 2 yo for 2 semesters. They both enjoy the fun loving environment. I cannot wait for them to start teaching Chinese. My kids would say or sing random things in Spanish when they are at home and I had to use Google translate to try to understand them. I sent my son away for a very nice summer camp this past summer. He looked like he had fun. When we ask him to go to the same camp this year he does not wish to return. He says he wants to go to Bilingual Whiz Kids. That says a lot about this place. read more

Our 1 year old daughter has attended Whiz kidz bilingual school for a number of months and she absolutely loves it. She only attends a few days a week but we have been surprised at the Spanish she has picked up already! We have noticed there are some words that she can say in Spanish that she doesn't know in English. It's really great, I can imagine that she would pick up even more if she was there every day. The director is very sweet and caring and has a very modern approach to teaching and on discipline which is nice to find in Dallas. We really like all of the teachers too. We are so incredibly grateful that we found Bilingual Whiz Kidz. We love this school for so many different reasons. We have been sending our son there since he was 6 months old and it is apparent that he has always been well cared for in an engaging environment. The maestras (teachers) are extremely thoughtful and nurturing with all of the kiddos. They are genuinely happy to see the children each day and take pride in the work they do in their classrooms. The teachers are excited to show off the different activities they've done with the students throughout the day. Also, the maestras are great communicators and great listeners. They show an authentic interest in the well-being of their kiddos. They are always willing to do whatever it takes to best care for each child's unique needs. They give frequent updates of how the baby's day is going throughout each day, sending various photos of happy babies! The school environment is warm, colorful, and engaging. All staff members work to create a welcoming atmosphere and are happy to help out in any way possible. The director of the school is extremely intentional with all of her plans for the school. It is apparent that she puts a great deal of thought and purpose behind each decision that she makes for the school. The teaching team creates a curriculum with rich vocabulary taught by native Spanish speakers (which is amazing!). Additionally, there are thematic units which makes the new content being taught so much more comprehensible to young learners. They have done tons of research on the materials for the classrooms and the supplies they buy for the students. It's all very fun while highly educational, so students are learning naturally throughout the day. The classrooms are joyful and encourage play for youngsters. Also, they are big on cleanliness so everything is very well kept and sanitized. As an elementary teacher, I cannot imagine a better school to send my young son to. I feel confident that my son is learning new things everyday while growing socially as well. BWK is helping my son to become a bilingual child which will have a life-long, positive impact. Even more importantly, I know that all of my son's social, emotional, and developmental needs are cultivated in a loving environment. read more

Update: A few months into the school year, I was told my daughter's teacher unexpectedly quit, although we did continue to see her working at the school with less consistency. The school was still small without extra staff to pick up the slack, and I didn't feel it ever entirely recovered during that school year while the director held out for a replacement who met the highest standards. During these months, it could sometimes be difficult to contact someone to get the front door unlocked so I could enter the school (even at pick-up time), and I didn't always know the people (men and women) who greeted me and told me they'd been working with my 2-year-old that day. If one student was late to arrive, it seemed to hold up the whole operation for all the kids while the class and teacher waited for them in the lobby. I was impressed at the kinds of things the 2-year-old class was working on throughout the school year. In addition to things like spelling and reading their names, colors, and numbers, many of the kids could place continents on a map and assemble an American flag. The kids seemed to have a good rhythm by the end of the year, and were prepared and packed up to go home right at 2:00. It was an inaugural year with some bumps, but the director strikes me as having high standards and a long-term vision of creating a high-quality school. As the school grows, I expect it will be staffed up and equipped to rectify inconsistencies and become a strong option. read more

My daughter LOVES coming here and is already naturally using Spanish and mandarin in her everyday speech. She is always excited to go to school and when I pick her up she looks happy and red from running around and having so much fun. The teachers are very kind and Monica is very engaged. After being here for one school year for my 3 year old, he is able to understand and speak in Spanish and starting to learn Mandarin with ease. My daughter is just under two and we enrolled her this fall at Bilingual Whiz Kidz. We are SO HAPPY with this center -- it's beautiful, clean, calm, and built around conscious discipline and full Spanish language immersion - all things that we have been looking for for over a year. From the moment you walk into Bilingual Whiz Kidz you can feel the love and warmth of the place, and spend some time with their wonderful director Monica, who has been a dream in helping us get started at her new center. Not only are we the parents happy, but our daughter seems like a whole new child since starting there. She's genuinely getting stimulated all day long with so much quality attention that at the end of the day she is not running to us desperately, as she was doing at previous places she attended. Instead, she just happily and calmly shows us what she's doing and tours us around the room happily every time we arrive. We feel lucky to be part of this new and growing pre-school community. This is my very first review of any business on Yelp and I'm doing so to tell you how great Bilingual Whiz Kidz is for children. If you are looking for an extremely loving, educational, safe and clean school for you baby/child, this is the perfect place for you. My husband and I took a tour, and from the moment we stepped in the building we were convinced that this was a top notch childcare/school. Although it's hard to describe the feeling required to be able to leave your baby/child and know that they are in good hands, I'll try. Every morning we are greeted with happy faces and warm hello, actually Buenos Dias :). Teachers are patient, gentle and loving and truly show care and connection to each child. Throughout the day updates are provided on your child's meals, play and diaper/potty activities. The owner/director is present and clearly believes in quality education and care. All development opportunities and individual needs are supported for each child. When we discussed that our daughter was showing interest in potty-training at home, the owner/teachers ensured this was supported and that we have a real partnership. My experience with older siblings was that potty-training didn't start until a 2-year-old classroom and there was no support for an early starter (daughter is 16 months old). On top of all the fantastic care and safety, your child also has the benefit to become bilingual. The approach the owner/director takes is based heavily on science and the ability of the child's brain to process and grow utilizing multiple languages. My baby has not started at Bilingual Whiz Kids yet, as they are still waiting to get enough infants to open an infant classroom (the preschool is very new). However, I visited the school and spent about an hour talking to the director, who is incredibly kind and knowledgeable about children, and I watched the 2-yo classroom in action. I was truly blown away by the loving atmosphere and the thought that has been put into this program. I came towards the end of nap time, the children were just waking up, and it was calm and cuddly and inviting. I immediately knew that this was where I wanted my daughter to be. Their program is truly bilingual, and you can tell that bilingual education is where the director's heart is. She told me that she had done research on bilingualism in the past. But it wasn't just the academics - she also talked about how important social and emotional development is, and everything she said made so much sense. When she interacted with my baby daughter, I could tell how respectful and kind she was towards her, and my typically shy baby took to her immediately. In addition to all of this, the rooms are just beautiful and the facilities are great - you go in and you just want to spend time there. It's spacious and airy and inviting, a far cry from some of the cramped spaces I have seen elsewhere. When my 8-year-old daughter saw the rooms, she said: "I wish I could go here for preschool!" We love Bilingual Whiz Kidz! They really use the science of early childhood development to ensure all aspects of your child's growth! We teach our daughter english at home so sending her to a school where she learns a new language during the most critical time of her learning development is a blessing. After the first week of attending she was not only happier but more vocal than she had been at her last school. They do an amazing job of combining learning and play through structured activities. You can tell the teachers care a lot and it shows when you're kid is excited to get to school. Not to mention that the natural light in all the classrooms really helps. Everything is extremely clean and new which may be the reason our daughter isn't getting sick as regularly as she use to. They have family events which really helps in feeling part of a community and not just a school. It's also really conveniently located off of 75 so it helps with our commute! Last thing that I really appreciate is the usage of conscious discipline. They care about helping even the youngest of kids to learn how to understand and control their emotions/behaviors versus just correcting them and disciplining them with a time out.
