Our friend Chris G recently found tickets to see a play at this local spot, and to sweeten the deal, the tickets were half price ($10 instead of $20). Our group of four met there to watch the performance of "Salome" (pronounced Sallow-May) by Oscar Wilde. I'd never seen it and didn't know what to expect. What I did expect was a small theater, and this place is exactly that; but not in a bad way. For this production they utilized their space really awesomely, so that the play more or less took place in the center of the audience seating. We saw a burlesque show in Vegas that attempted this same concept and failed, so I was happy with the comfortable seating and performance area here. Some of the chairs had cushions or pillows on top of the seat, for extra comfy. Thank you for that! Great idea. We really enjoyed the play and enjoyed getting to see a live show so close to home. We'll definitely check out this spot again. Oh, and a cash bar sits in the back ($4 beer, $5 import beer). They don't sell during the show (duh) so make sure to buy two at a time if your'e thirsty.

Most companies require you to mail in your precious memories, and I could never bring myself to risk losing these tapes, especially since they contain moments from my children's childhood--now 21 and 28 years old. That's when I found CA&C Video. My husband surprised me with a gift card to have my tapes converted, and the experience was awesome from start to finish. It all began with a simple text inquiry, followed by an appointment confirmation. Clifton, came by on 12/31 to pick up the tapes and let me know it would take a few weeks to complete the conversion. On 1/11/25, I was already able to view some of the converted videos online through a link he provided. And by 1/16/25, he personally delivered the tapes back to me along with the USB containing all of the digital files--right to my front door! Clifton also informed me that 2 tapes have been damaged but he would try to repair/restore them. I had faith he would be able to and he did!! My latest experience was asking Clifton to help me convert my dad's old microcassettes and VHS tapes, which have been sitting in my garage for 10 years! Clifton picked up my tapes on a Thursday, and the following Tuesday, I had everything on one USB stick! I cannot begin to tell you how special it is to see my father again, who passed away in 2013, and for the last 3 years of his life, was in a wheelchair. It was so incredible to see him walking around, joking both behind and in front of his camcorder. Most touching of all, was showing these videos to my kids, so they could remember him, and see what grandpa, and mom and dad, were like before they were even born. Clifton is a 3rd generation videographer, and it shows. He takes great pride in his work, and, like me, comes from a long line of family members that have a passion for preserving memories we will revisit again and again. Being able to share so many laughs and tears with my loved ones with these videos is priceless.
