Since then, he's filmed two other weddings for people I know, and even though I wasn't even at those weddings, I still got really emotional watching their films. That's how good he is at telling the story of a wedding day. So when we finally had a date for our own wedding, Vinny was actually the first vendor I reached out to. I already knew that if there was one vendor I was willing to splurge on, it was going to be our videographer, because after the wedding is over, the video is one of the few things that lets you truly experience the day again. Vinny and his team captured our wedding weekend so beautifully. His edits are incredibly cinematic. I love the transitions, the drone shots, his signature ring shot, and especially the way he captures all of the little moments happening throughout the day. Your wedding goes by SO fast, and you can only be in one place at a time, so there were so many interactions and moments we either missed completely or didn't fully take in. Getting to see those afterward was one of my favorite parts of watching our films. And I really do mean films, because Vinny doesn't just send you a highlight reel and a bunch of footage. We received a 1-minute Instagram edit, a 10-minute feature film, a 2-hour documentary edit, AND all of the footage captured by his team. Each one gives us a different way to relive the wedding, and the amount of care and work that goes into putting everything together really shows. One of my favorite things is that the best friend whose wedding first introduced me to Vinny still watches her wedding video every year on her anniversary, now with her kids. Graham is very responsive and easy to work with. The day of our June 2021 wedding, Graham showed up on time and got right to work. You hardly even know he's there, which is exactly what we wanted from a videographer. He films "documentary style" and gets all the parts of the day that are such a blur to the bride and groom. Many months before the wedding, I searched for videographers and wedding video packages that suited our taste, where we wanted candid, yet dreamy/fairytale shots of our day, along with videos of our ceremonies (tea ceremony & Western ceremony), all while being within a certain budget. He met with us to talk about our ideal style and "must captures," and knowing that he was familiar with our venue in San Jose as well as having experience with capturing tea ceremonies is really what sold us. They were even onboard when I mentioned that I would be surprising the bride with a musical performance during the reception, and were able to capture that.
