After some research, we found the Windsmith, located in the neighborhood of North Park, with exceptional reviews. We were lucky to have found Franco, who specializes in woodwind instrument repairs, to take a look at the old flute. He said the necessary maintenance was not extensive and gave us a very affordable quote for repairs to get the flute back in shape. I brought my Modulus M92 5-string bass to Brandon. I love…read morethe bass, but I there was no battery compartment door on the back on my bass like I had seen in photos of the same model. I had to lift the 'pickguard' plate to change the two batteries. While replacing the batteries, I had inadvertently disconnected the ground wire more than once. Brandon created an enclosed back door entry to the battery compartment. Now I can easily pop the 2 9 volts in and out. He did a beautiful job. The bass looks like it was born this way.

Mike provided a ton of structure and direction that I feel most guitar teachers in my past have lacked. I showed him the music I was trying to record and he came up with drills that helped me play and learn my band's original songs much more quickly. His biggest strength is that he comes at guitar with a sense of intentionality and direction. He knows a large variety of music and knows how show you the path to achieve relaxed proficiency at whatever you want to learn. I haven't met a ton of guitar teachers with this amount of skill, and ability to verbalize their strategies.
