Horrible business. Go elsewhere for much nicer leis where what is pictured is at least close to what you get. They sent the wrong order first of all-then sent a dead depressing lei rather than a the big white orchid and red rose pictured. I can see from the comments above that they have done this same mistake many times. One or two times is reasonable, but to keep repeating that mistake and ruining people's orders by cutting corners and using cheap Flowers as fillers is called a Scam or fraud. Then when I complained they agreed to refund my order. They charged me $124 for dead mini shriveled up roses a shit ton of white carnations that hadn't barely bloomed yet. And brown tipped ugly sad gloomy dead supposed to be white orchids. All the flowers were mini and there was string showing already! The Lei was shoved in a bag in a box wrapped with an ice pack. I had to sadly compost it. It was that sad. After all that. Only gave me a partial refund and won't respond anymore to me. Please Don't give this place anymore chances to screw up and scam you into buying dead flowers with carnations as fillers. (the other pics of them doing the exact same thing to other customers!) read more

Came here for a last minute lei purchase. Ralph's sold out, which brought me here. The leis are pricier than what you see at Ralph's etc, but they are also better than what you see at grocery stores. They have a fridge full of leis and have variety. Ended up getting a double orchid, ti , and a ribbon lei total cost was $140. Absolutely worth it, quality is great and the store was clean. As a bonus they also have a whole bunch of Hawaiian retail items. They have an option to pre-order leis as well. Skip your local grocery store and purchase your grads lei here instead! read more

We stumbled upon this really cute gift shop/ Lei shop while waiting for our Sipz order. There was a/c in this building so that was nice too. They have plenty of Hawaiian snacks (didn't really see anything vegan) and merchandise. Towards the front, they had some premade leis. Super pretty. I recall my mom buying one for me when I graduated high school. The employee was friendly. We ended up buying some Hawaiian drink mixes and an insulated Hawaiian themed bag. They also had some Hawaiian pastries towards the front, sadly, none vegan. But overall, looks like a great place to buy fresh leis or browse and feel like you're in Hawaii, even if it's just for a few moments. read more

This is my experience with Leilani's: You have to order online or in person because, no one answers the phone and the mailbox is FULL, so you cannot leave a message. . . I wanted the most heavily scented Lei I could get, for my granddaughters graduation. I ordered one online that fit both the pattern and fragrance that I was searching for. Because of previous reviews OTHER'S had, of plumeria flowers not being available on 'pick up' and a warning of such on their website, I ordered tuberose instead (no warning on their website for these). I also emailed & text the business inquiring about the tuberose availability, without response to either. Red flag. On pick up, I showed them my Yelp's '1 free Plumeria Satchet', with a response of; "We stopped doing that years ago". . . (Crickets). Umm. O-Kaay. The lei I received had a pittance of scattered tuberose . . . not the amount or color pattern shown on their website. I was told their shipment of tuberose was bad. No notification to me of THAT however, despite my futile text and emails previously sent. SO, I politely ask if I can have a discount, since the AMOUNT of scented flowers is NOT in the lei, nor does the pattern MATCH what was displayed on the website. I am GLARINGLY told (by the daughter of the owner), "No, we are unable to do that". . . How DARE I 'ask'. . . Seventy dollars, in essence, for 'Bait and switch". :( I looked in the refrigerated case for premade leis ( to salvage and ADD TO the one I PAID for). I reached for a blue lei, but saw that it (and others) had fuzzy mold growing on them. Sigh. . . :\ They say a picture is worth 1000 words, here are three of them. I'm born, raised, and graduated in Hawaii. We give lei's for all sorts of occasions, graduations are one of the big occasions. My oldest graduated this year from high school. I noticed grocery stores and other florists were offering orchid leis for sale. I wanted to purchase something different for my son. I'm thankful that the school had in person graduation. CUSTOM ORDERS are ordered ONLINE ONLY I went in to the store to see if they had a booklet that I could look at and see some of the leis in person. There are no booklets. I couldn't order in person at the store. There were orchid leis available for purchase. I decided to order the Ti Maile Lei. Ordering online was pretty simple. I ordered a week and a half a head. You have the choice to get it delivered to your home or pick it up at the store. I picked it up the day before graduation at the store. The lei was full, gorgeous, and looked just like the picture posted online. If you are in the MILITARY you can get a 15 percent discount. The lei was well made and lasted the whole time. Leilani Leis The florist shop is inside Leilani Attic. Leilani Leis sells Single Orchid lei, Double orchid leis, Ti leaf leis, Haku and Crown head leis, as well as some specialty leis. They also sell fake flower leis, ribbon, and kukui nut leis that you can purchase in the store. Besides fresh leis, the store sells all sorts of things from Hawaii. From snacks, apparel, ukuleles, slippers (flip flops), and so forth. If your hungry for a Hawaii plate lunch check out Leilani Cafe next door from 7 am - 2 pm. Customer Service Helpful and courteous. The woman answered all my questions. She told me some of the leis are made in Hawaii. Some of the leis are made in house. Parking Street or residential parking. Overall, I plan to go to Leilani florist to purchase flowers for any special occasions. Everything went smoothly; from ordering online and picking it up. In a rush to quickly find fresh flower and ti leaf open-ended leis for my son's graduation, my mother-in-law found Leilani's Leis for me. We are located in the San Francisco Bay Area Peninsula, but since my husband's mom was flying up from San Diego to attend the ceremony, she offered to pick up my order and bring it up here. I opted to pay the heavy FedEx shipping fees for the leis to be delivered to my mom's house the day before the graduation, so that my son would not see any of the leis before his ceremony. I purchased four items on May 18, 2023: Kukui Nut Lei (Beige) for $11.99 Ti Lei, Open Ended 60" for $20 Ti Leafy Lei with Kukui Nuts (Black) for $36 Double Orchid / Trace Tuberose (Blue Orchid) for $60 With shipping ($57.16) and taxes, my total purchase amount was $197.16. Product quality: C- to C grade/2 to 2.5 stars. All of the items were decently priced and fair in quality except the Double Orchid / Trace Tuberose (Blue Orchid). The double lei was pretty in vibrant blue colour, but the form of the fresh flowers was not the best - the blossoms were a bit wilted and bent in some areas, affecting the overall fullness of the floral garland. The other products were sturdy, though some of the leaves of the Ti Lei, Open Ended 60" and the Ti Leafy Lei with Kukui Nuts (Black) were also bent and did not arrive in expected conformed pattern as styled/pictured on the website. Customer Service: D grade/1 star. The day after placing my order via the website, my credit card account reflected three separate charges; two in the amount of $194.43 and another for my purchase total of $197.16. Naturally, I sent an email to Customer Service to inquire about the multiple charges...to which I never received a response. Eventually, the two extra charges dropped off, but ignoring client messages is a major turn-off and just straight up bad. The order was delivered on the date expected; however, despite the enclosed CARE INSTRUCTIONS note that indicated that the leis were supposed to be in their own plastic containers, NONE of them came enclosed in any such protective cases. That's right - each of the four items were all tossed in the shipping container UNBOXED & UNPROTECTED with the cold pack. The poor packaging or lack of is likely the cause behind the bent ti leaves and flowers. Not cool and extremely disappointing. If you are outside of the San Diego area, I warn against ordering any fresh leis from Leilani's Leis. While the prices are competitive, not much care is invested in carefully packaging products that they arrive in imperfect conditions. Customer Service via email is also unresponsive. read more

I ordered online without going to the store first and there wanna an issue!! I ordered using Apple Pay and my order was sent to their Vegas location for pick up I immediately called the Pacific Beach location and they fixed it no issues. On the day of pick up (today) it was busy with all the graduations in the area, but I was picking up a lei for my friend and his body building show , because men can give other men pretty flowers !!! I ordered on line from the East Coast, 3-4 days ahead of time and received communication from Leilani's for a Clairemont Mesa, San Diego location pick up. I ordered a white orchid and white/yellow plumeria lei and a haku of the same color. We picked up the day before graduation. When I arrived my lei and Haku were ready. The staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. They overnighted and transported well in the refrigerator and onto the cooler until wearing. Leilani's is certainly our go to place for leis. I recently made a purchase from your store and wanted to share my experience. While the product itself is beautiful and of high quality, the customer service we encountered was quite disappointing. Despite your employee, who was very kind, not noting our custom order correctly, the response from the owners was unexpectedly rude. It felt as though my mother and I were being treated as an inconvenience rather than valued customers. For the price we paid, we could have ordered directly from Oahu, which makes this treatment even more disheartening. You're better off going to Costco- friendlier and less expensive. read more

Ordered a flower lei 8 days before it was needed only to be told 4 days later (one day before the weekend) that they couldn't have FedEx deliver it on the day I needed it. I then asked for overnight Saturday delivery and without answering me they then just cancelled my order leaving me scrambling for another lei. I understand since Monday is a holiday there's a delivery issue however it's being delivered within the state and if they had contacted me within a day of ordering it I could have had time to find an alternative. Special occasions mean nothing to this company because they will leave you empty handed with an insincere apology. Received 3 leis when I ordered 9 leis (3 orders of 3) for my daughter's graduation group (6 best friends) and 3 for my niece's baby shower. I called before to make sure everything would be delivered for the Saturday graduation and Sunday baby shower. The person told me they don't deliver on Saturday because they once had to refund 75 orders that didn't make it. With that, I should have realized they are handling too many orders for the busy season. The company only delivered 3 leis. What would I to do with three leis for a group of six for graduation? I was embarrassed to only give three out. Who do you choose? The main reason these leis were only ordered for my daughter's graduation. The company doesn't understand that or even care. They dropped the ball by not sending my complete order. The best the company did (after calling and talking to someone on Sunday, calling back on Thursday to see if there was a resolution, which the lei manager had no clue about my order and then wanting to escalate to the owner so the owner understands how devastating it was to have no graduation leis for my daughter) was refund my missing order of 6 leis. Yeah of course you refund for missing items. I would never have ordered 3 leis for my niece and paid over $105 without the original order of 6 which I paid over $217. I needed a lei for my goddaughters graduation this week and found Leilani's when I did a search online. First, compared to others they have a great website that gives you pictures of the product. Sounds simple but I had been to so many other sites that were limited to a couple and one site didn't even have any pictures of their leis. I called them up and although they didn't pick up, I left a message and they must have called me back within a few minutes. It was easy to order and I paid right over the phone. Simple. I ordered the lei on a Saturday and requested a pick up of Wednesday. When Wednesday came around, I completely forgot but they called me an hour before the shop closed to let me know the lei was in and I could come by before they closed or they would hold it for me until the next day. They even offered to cancel the order if I had changed my mind. I called them back immediately because I had just forgotten to pick it up and wanted to make sure they knew I would pick it up the next day. Today I went in to pick it up and was surprised to find that it's a quaint little Hawaiian gift shop. They have so many products and clothes direct from Hawaii. They are located right on a main street with plenty of free street parking. I went in and they seem to have a pretty steady business of leis, but I'm sure it's not uncommon this time of year. I heard the lady ahead of me talk about the leis she bought last year so clearly another satisfied customer and there were phone calls coming in for orders. Fortunately the lady ahead of me was going to take some time and she offered to let me ask a question. I had already paid for my lei so I just needed to pick mine up. They brought it out in a large plastic container (recyclable) and they are the MOST beautiful flowers I have seen! Undoubtedly my goddaughter is going to be extremely pleased when she finds out. And they smell so beautiful. I couldn't have been more pleased and like the lady ahead of me, I will definitely come back and use them again. Great service and great product! I needed some leis for some friends graduating at UCSD. Their commencement was Sunday afternoon so I went in Friday afternoon to place my order. I recommend giving them at least 2 days if not more. You can also buy in-store or order online and ship to yourself. The shop is easy to find. It's adjacent to Leilani's Cafe. Pull up to the front to find parking. If not, there's plenty or residential spots. I am a pretty indecisive person so I needed to go in and see the flowers myself. One of the guys that helped me was soooo friendly. He opened the fridge and showed me my options. He was patient and helped me decide which colors would be best for their cap and gown. He gave me proper instructions about keeping the flowers as fresh as possible. They also sell Kukui nuts if you're looking to buy them for graduation. I think they were less than $15 each? The leis themselves were gorgeous. They come in individualized containers. Definitely recommend plumerias for girls because they smell wonderful. My friend LOVED his blue lei.
