Ages are not enforced, which I believe is part of why the park gets trashed so quickly. But the worst part is the staff that watch the children at the Rec Center. They are horrible, all sit on the their phones under the pavilion and don't even watch the children that are supposed to be under their care. Watched one child beat another with his shoe and the child went to go cry to the staff and they looked clueless of what happened. Bet they didn't even tell the parents. Not only that but the kids were just a bully to my child. He's a toddler and I had to step in multiple times for him. The staff should watch the children that are under their care!!! Don't bring your kids here when the rec center kids are out playing.. they are not supervised at all.

The walking path was recently refinished with soft rubber and is always really popular in the mornings! They also recently added calisthenics workout equipment, with pull up bars, spin bikes etc. Finally, the outdoor basketball and tennis quarts were also recently renovated! The park also features a "splash pad" in the summer that is a real community amenity! It's always popular in the hot summer with kids and families, truly a cool and unique thing. They also have a baseball field, and offer classes and other community engagement things in their gym. Lastly, I can't review without speaking about the gym. Some of the comments have not spoken kindly to the gym environment, but I'd have to disagree! It is incredibly popular, and is a great place to get find some good quality pickup games! Are there problems? Sure, the same that you run into at any other pickup game whether at LA fitness or a school gym, so don't let that scare you off! The fact that deltona had this gym really cannot be understated! It's a place for young people to have some sense of community! They also have food trucks on Fridays!!! A really great community park! Keep it up Deltona!

It says it has over 10,000 square feet of newly remodeled space. It has many rooms for birthday parties. It has basketball, pickleball an indoor playroom for the kids. It offers classes for adults teenagers and children. It even had a small arcade room. The area surrounding the recreation center is beautiful. Across the street is a large lake/pond with a water fountain with a walking trail. When you pull into this area it has a tree-lined road something you just don't see anymore. The facility had plenty of parking and was very clean and well maintained. It was a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy with kids everywhere playing and enjoying the beautiful weather we had that day. I wish we had something like this in Sanford, FL. The new machines are good, too. However, the main reason I want to go is my Zumba instructor, Reema; I eagerly look forward to attending her classes on Thursdays and Saturdays--it's what brings me the most happiness. She is a magnificent instructor who always makes sure we're keeping up with the steps, uses vocal cues to signal when to change moves, keeps everyone motivated, and fosters a comfortable atmosphere even when we occasionally lose our way a bit. Something I particularly like is that, before starting, she always introduces herself and asks if there is anyone new or if it's a special day for someone--like a birthday or anniversary--and encourages us to keep coming back. She is cheerful, motivating, patient, and very attentive. Instructor Reema is amazing. If it weren't for her and the pool, I wouldn't be a member, because the other instructors' styles don't really suit my taste.

When I cancelled, I spoke with Mark Vassallo, who told me I would be charged for February and could use the gym through the end of the month or roughly early March. I accepted that and considered the matter resolved. For context, the last time I actually used the gym was January 19, and when I cancelled I had no intention of using the facility again. However, after cancelling I was still charged multiple times: * $148.04 on February 3 for membership dues * Another fee on February 17 * Another $148.04 membership charge on March 3 That March 3 charge should never have happened, and I am currently disputing it. Even more troubling, when I went back to the gym to address this issue I was given a "cancellation document" that I had never seen before. On February 1 I did not sign any documents and was not given any paperwork. The document I received later contains a signature that is supposed to be mine, but it is clearly not my signature. It appears that my signature was forged on the document, and the other signature on that form belongs to Mark Vassallo, the same employee I dealt with. When I asked Mark for his business card so I could document the interaction, he refused to provide it. Because of this situation I have now filed formal complaints with: * Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services (Consumer Protection) * Florida Attorney General's Office * Federal Trade Commission I have also disputed the March 3 charge with my credit card company. While researching this issue, I noticed that many other reviews mention similar billing and cancellation problems, which suggests this may be a pattern. Beyond the billing issues, the overall environment at the gym was also disappointing. Many members and trainers frequently stand around talking while blocking machines and even exits, and I've seen kids running around the weights area, which is unsafe when people are lifting. Between the billing practices, the forged cancellation document, and the poor gym etiquette, this has been one of the worst experiences I've had with a fitness club. I strongly recommend that management address these issues immediately.

Gemini Springs Park is located in DeBary, Florida, 25 miles north of Orlando…read more Since you can no longer swim here due to high concentrations of bacteria in the waters, visitor attendance can be quite low. And since there's alternative parks situated throughout Central Florida that are swimmable, not many people will make the effort to experience Gemini Springs. In fact, I'd categorize this place as a local town park more than anything. It's free to visit and hours are sunrise to sunset. There were no names or signs for the hiking trails, so at times it felt like I was wandering aimlessly. But, the trees decorated with Spanish Moss exuded southern charm and most corners I turned felt like strolling along a nature trail. There's a dual sided passageway that acts as the centerpiece to the park and is also a dam spillway which (I believe) separates the DeBary Creek waters and the Gemini Springs area. I did spot a gator which almost caught a fish right in front of my eyes. I also noticed a soft shell turtle who appeared to be laying her eggs in the sand and some birds doing fishing of their own. Gemini Springs has picnic pavilions, a playground, a dog park, a fishing pier, plenty of grass to play around, and even camping is permitted here. Lastly, I'd like to highlight a section of the park that turns colorfully vibrant when the sun is shining... - Follow the concrete walkway (which you can't miss). - Then...you'll approach a tucked away corner of the springs. This area can be a rewarding moment for admiring the great outdoors. If you just pause and absorb the surroundings, nature's beauty shines through. It's a refreshing reminder that just because a park isn't as accessible as it once was, doesn't mean it should go unnoticed. I believe Gemini Springs Park can be a worthwhile half day visit.
