Love the house, hate the carpet. After reaching out to five local flooring stores I went with Floor King and Lisa handled my order. I couldn't have been happier. Since the existing wood flooring in the rest of the house was six years old, matching it was tough. Plus, as a developer-built home they relabelled the manufacturer's name for the wood with their own "brand" name (i.e., they just made it up. Swell.) Fortunately Lisa patiently worked with her Shaw rep (I knew who made the wood even if I didn't know the name) and they found a match in just about ten days one the holiday period. They were moving. Lisa brought the planned sample out, and once I checked the match she confirmed the square footage estimate I gave her, wrote the order up and I executed it after that. Installation was done the day after they received the product and Romeo, who did my install job, showed up right on time, went straight to work, no breaks, no goofing around talking; he just got the job done. A really nice guy who does good work. So if you're thinking about who to go with for flooring, go back to the top and read my second sentence!

Consequently it has very little selection and most times it's hard to find what you need if they even carry it at all. So whenever I need something, sometimes I wait till I drive into Austin and get it. It is so much easier and there is so much more of a selection. This Home Depot is really nice. Set off the highway a bit, easy to find, easy to get in and out of. This is typically the Home Depot I use since it is close to where I work.
