I called today and asked if there had been a pricing error and Greg informed me there had been no error. I told him I thought the nearly 6X cost compared to Lowe's was a steep charge to support a local enterprise like the Coop and he sharply responded that I should shop at Lowes. Well if that overcharging rate persists and is similar across the line of products sold there, one should not be surprised to learn the Coop is shutting down glass sales and other items are surely to follow. We have a very small bathroom…read moreand the available styles and sizes of vanities at Home Depot didn't match what we wanted, so I reached out to Mike, he came over to take a look, and provided a quote for the work. Building a custom vanity was a little more expensive, but we got so much more for what we paid. I selected Mike in part because when he came to look at the configuration of my existing vanity and plumbing, he had a clearer vision that he articulated for how he could build and install the vanity, and what the options were given the positioning of the plumbing. The other contractors I had come and look didn't mention the relationship between the dimensions of the drawers and open space and the existing plumbing in the wall. We also asked Mike if it would be possible to build a pull out step under the vanity that our 1.5 year old daughter could use to step up and use the sink (probably when she gets to be 2 years old or so). He explained his vision for that and it was perfect. Mike also built the style of the doors and drawers to match a style we had seen, and as you'll see in the pictures, it looks amazing. Mike was super easy to work with, very responsive, and provided a documented design spec that he sent to me for approval (which we made a few tweaks to). He delivered the piece on time and was flexible with his schedule in matching to mine to install it. He expected half of the price of the piece as a down payment, very reasonable, and received the rest upon delivery and installation. I ordered the vanity top custom from home depot and I selected the handles I wanted Mike to install. He used the top to ensure that the piece he built would conform to fit. I also ordered the tread for the step after brainstorming ideas with Mike. I personally removed the old vanity and disconnected the old plumbing, but that could be done by a plumber as well. Mike installed the new vanity against the wall, and I had my plumber connect the plumbing to the new faucet we bought after Mike had left. Overall, I can't recommend Mike highly enough. He is professional, creative, responsible, and I can tell he takes pride in his work. Thank you Mike, we are already enjoying the transformation to our bathroom that you helped make possible!

I'm a serious amateur woodworker, so I wanted to handle the varnishing myself. The owner of QC Flooring, Quentin, answered all my questions and was completely flexible about scheduling the work and leaving everything ready for me to finish. The quality was outstanding -- he got every corner, cleaned up thoroughly, and left the surfaces absolutely perfect, dust-free, and ready to varnish. As much of a perfectionist as I am, I assumed I'd still need to do some cleanup or additional sanding afterward, but there was literally nothing left to do. Quentin is also one of the nicest contractors I've ever hired. He was meticulous and genuinely cared about doing excellent work. Looking at the finished job, I could not have made a better choice than hiring QC Flooring.

We hired Abacus to assist our condo association with infrastructure improvements. The owner, Mark…read moreLittle, visited our site personally. He inspected the grounds to assess current conditions as well to evaluate our needs. He was a good listener and made several suggestions to improve our site. Once we came to a decision as to the scope of work we wanted, Mark thoroughly explained to us the process going forward and what we could expect. He explained how weather could impact the work, as well as what our owners could reasonably expect to encounter vis a vi access to the property during the process. He also gave us an accurate estimate of the time it would take to complete the job. Weather did in fact impact the job. Abacus communicated well and we were able to inform the owners in a timely manner of the pending delay and no one was negatively impacted by the delay. The delay was brief and the job was completed on time. Our place looks better than ever. Our drainage issues have been solved. We couldn't be happier with the end result. It was a pleasure working with Mark. He has an easygoing manner. And unlike other companies we spoke with regarding the job, he didn't try to up-sell us. He is seasoned professional and we won't hesitate to call him again when the need arises.

This review has nothing to do with their work but their level of respect. I live in a 60 unit…read moreresidential building right next to where these guys are based. Every morning directly on the dot and often before 7am, they start drilling and sawing metal, running loud vacuums, and leaving snow blowers running idle for 30 mins at a time. They treat E st., a public road, as a shop yard, scattering tools and holding morning meetings in the middle of the street. They also park their vehicles illegally on too of my building's sidewalk here. Additionally, the spanish-speaking gentlemen are exceptionally loud & often their voices are my entire building's alarm clock. The level of disrespect is egregious and it needs to stop or my review stands.
