Mike is great; always quick to get the repairs done and has always charged us very reasonably. He's never pushed us to make unnecessary repairs (like a local chain did repeatedly). The place looks a bit run down, but whatever, we're getting our car fixed, not having afternoon tea. Don't let it deter you, Mike is a great mechanic and we're lucky to have found him.

Two and a half hours later I had to go ask when they thought it would be done. Finally got the car 3 hours, 15 minutes later. Was not happy with it taking twice as long as expected but really didn't like was that no one came out to tell us it was going to be longer, was up to me to find out why.

I've been taking vehicles to Joe for 12 years now, and I suppose that is sufficient testimonial in itself. In that time, my family has owned 7 different vehicles, made by Chrysler, Chevrolet, and Toyota, and Joe has yet to tell me there was something he couldn't do. He has also never come even close to the prices everyone else is charging. Recently, my wife was quoted in excess of $500 for brakes and rotors by another shop. Joe's price: $350. He also noticed that my inspection was overdue, so he did that as well, bringing the grand total to around $375. He will make the phone call to you and honestly tell you that something is going to need doing soon. He'll tell you that you don't need it right now, but he can do it now if you want him to, and let you make the decision. No fairy stories about the horrible state your vehicle is in, and that you need $1000 of repairs every time you go in there for an oil change. At one point, my oldest son was chomping at the bit to buy a car, and we took it to Joe on the test drive. He crawled all over it for about 20 minutes, and told me that it wasn't a good buy. He didn't charge me a penny for looking at it, and I didn't buy it. He could have made a fortune keeping that car running, and he told me not to buy it. He makes suggestions, gives you options and will try his hardest to help you keep your repairs within your budget. A rare gem, and I would recommend him highly to anyone.

Don't let first impressions of the shop send you running -- the building exterior looks kind of sketchy, the office is dingy, and the garage is dimly lit and chaotic, but the service is as good as it gets and the prices are much better than any of the other garages in the area. My only complaint is that once they forgot to call to let me know that my car was ready so I went without it overnight. No big deal, I chalked it up as a life lesson and now I call myself in those types of situations.
