When my mom and sister were driving through High Point and had car trouble, they called High Point Tire. They helped them get a rental car so that they could continue their trip to the beach, and had their car ready when they returned. Best people ever!

Here's the good: This place is clean and my wife would certainly feel comfortable there. Most of the employees are polite and professional, especially those who ring you up when your work is done. Only once did they try to upsell me car services that I did not need (I was a mechanic earlier in my career). Depending on when you arrive, you can often be in and out in under 20 minutes. The wall between the waiting area and the work area is glass, allowing you to somewhat see some of the work being done to your vehicle. Here's the not so good: When my oil filter is replaced, it drips lots of oil onto a support under my engine. If the mechanic doesn't clean it off, it drips on the floor of my garage for the next couple of weeks. The Havoline Xpress I used before this one always cleaned the oil off and it was never a problem. The technicians here, regardless of how nice I ask, will not clean this area after removing the oil filter even though they assure me they will when I ask. I have a vehicle with rear wheel drive. From the waiting area I can see they do not check the lubricant level in the rear differential even though they say on their check sheet (the one they give you when you leave) that they did. They also make erroneous comments on the check sheet regarding your response to questions they ask you. Once I realized the mechanics here were not performing services they claim to, I contacted the general manager, Doug Langford in writing to ask about it. To his credit, Doug contacted me by e-mail, advising me that he and the owner were looking into my concerns. To his detriment, that was the only time I heard from him. When I returned a couple of months later, things seemed very differently for the better. As best I could tell, all service functions listed on the check list were performed including the oil that drips on my garage floor after an oil change. Sadly this is not the end of the story. When I returned two weeks ago, service was back to bad. The lubricant level on my rear differential was not checked, the support that catches (then leaks) the oil was not cleaned, and although no mechanic spoke to me while I was there, my check list stated that I had told a mechanic that all services (for other things not included in an oil change) had been done. The following day I sent the manager another message outlining my visit, but it's been a week and a half and he hasn't responded yet. I am sorry to walk away from this business because it is clean, most of the people there are nice, and it is conveniently located to me. But if they will falsify information, pick and choose the services they do underneath your vehicle, as well as fib about something as little as wiping some excess oil off, I can't trust them with my vehicles anymore. On top of that, I am afraid of other important lubricating services/functions they may be skipping underneath my truck. Checking the differential is much simpler than some of the other things they are supposed to do underneath my truck. Knowing they are skipping that makes me feel they are likely skipping other things. I don't plan to go back. Without trust, I cannot do business here.

The next morning Lindsay called to ask me what happened & to let me know they were behind on diagnoses, that there were several cars ahead of mine. Ugh. I explained that I was from Florida, visiting for work. I booked a rental, and relied on locals to help me during all of this. What blew my mind, a call from Lindsay again just before 5pm. Because I'm not a local, he pushed my car through faster & the lead mechanic, Chance, was staying late to narrow down the problem. Code was showing something wrong with fuel getting to the motor. 20 minutes later... he called again! I had just had my car serviced before driving Hundreds of miles & one of the air filters wasn't clicked in all the way! A simple stupid fix! I was relieved. Lindsay also said they had to fix a couple of recalls, but that my car should be ready by 10am the next morning! Stunned, relieved, but i was still holding my breath until the next morning - 9am, again earlier than he quoted- my car was ready! On this afternoon. I was initially greeted with professionalism by staff members including a manager named Banks and another manager named Sean. Both individuals were courteous and informative and my early impression of the business was positive. However, the situation quickly deteriorated due to the conduct of an employee by the name of Olivia. While I was in line for for the services I experience an extended and unexplained delay of approximately 20 to 25 minutes, during which employees appeared disengaged and focused on casual conversations rather than assisting waiting customers. No communication or acknowledgment of the delay was provided. When I briefly left to explore other service options and later return, I was eventually directed to a service Bay where another technician whom name I cannot recall assisted me. This individual demonstrated professionalism, respect, and a strong work ethics throughout the whole process, even while working without adequate support. Unfortunately, Olivia's behavior escalated further during my services. She openly refused to assist with my vehicle, made dismissive and inappropriate comments within earshot and created a hostile and uncomfortable environment. At multiple points. She spoke negatively about me to her co-workers and demonstrate a lack of professionalism that is unacceptable in a customer service setting. I also perceive certain remarks as discriminatory in nature. After my service was completed, I attempted to address my concerns calmly. However, the situation escalated significantly when manager Banks became involved. Rather than de-escalating the issues he engaged in unprofessional and aggressive behavior, including the use of inappropriate language towards both myself and my niece who was on the phone during the interaction. His conduct included verbal insults and statement that could reasonably be interpreted as threatening. At this point, what began as a customer service concern became a highly distressing and computational situation. I ultimately left the premises feeling disrespected unsafe and extremely dissatisfied. I would like to you all the to know that the technician who service my vehicle as well as the other employee working at that time conducted themselves with professionalism and should be commended their behavior stood in shark contrast to that of Olivia and Banks. Due to this experience, I have reported the incident to my supervisors and sharing my concerns within my professional network as someone affiliated with a company that managed a large fleet of vehicles. I regret to inform you that this incident has significantly impacted my willingness to recommend or continue doing business with your organization. They printed three tire options without me asking and talked me through each one. What really stood out is that they recommended the lowest price option -- not because it was cheap, but because it made sense for my driving habits and the fact that my car has only reached about 40,000 miles in seven years. They didn't assume anything about me, didn't pressure me, and didn't try to upsell. I figured I'd give them another shot. I took my aunt's car for an inspection today (I'm actually sitting in the waiting room typing this). I had a 1 o'clock appointment. It's now 2:30 and the car hadn't been brought into the shop yet. I finally went to the desk to cancel the service and magically they were able to take it right back. Why bother having appointments at all if you aren't going to even remotely abide by them? I will be taking all my cars elsewhere from now on.
