Had I been informed at the time of service, I could have addressed it immediately instead of driving around unknowingly and risking serious engine damage. What made the situation worse was their attitude. They rushed me out, were dismissive, and spoke in a condescending tone instead of taking accountability. There was no apology, no effort to explain, and no attempt to help, just "take it to a shop, we can't help you." Extremely unprofessional, careless, and disappointing customer service. I would not trust them with my vehicle again.

I pulled right in and he started the oil change. It took less than 10 minutes and he was very polite. I declined the air filter because I don't have a lot of expendable income right now. He gave me no trouble. He scanned a coupon for me and it wasn't too expensive even though I know I was way overdue. You stay in your car for the oil changes now, due to covid, and I'm grateful for that. I will continue to get oil changes done here and at the other HP locations. The only thing I can think of is I have done my research before I go, I know what I want, and I give them plenty of time to do their work - usually dropping off the car on Friday night and picking it up the next afternoon. I did have one unsettling experience when they were still on Parris Ave: while picking-up my car from a routine emissions inspection I was presented with a list of recommended service items totaling over a thousand dollars. I didn't take them up on this - I know what I need and when I need it and this felt a little like a scam. It may have been an honest attempt to drum-up business on things that were not 100% up to their designed abilities but, clearly did not require immediate attention.
