    Paprika & lemon chargrilled chicken
    Lynsey H.

I was so pleased to see that Bills has opened in Greenwich! It's so close to me now, I can go whenever I want! I introduced my friend to Bills and she loved it. We were given a perfect table upstairs, tucked out the way so it was great to be able to have a chat and catch up without too much interruption. The restaurant space is large and all tables were practically full. I went for the chargrilled paprika and lemon chicken and my friend chose to have two small plates instead of a main dish; calamari and crab and falafel doughnuts?! She loved her dishes, particularly the crab doughnuts. My chicken was really tasty, the coleslaw was delicious, although I would have liked more couscous, it kind of got buried under the slaw and I nearly missed it. The baby kale was also on the sparse side. We both decided to order from the specials menu for dessert and had the honeycomb cheesecake. It was amazing!! Delicious, perfect texture and a great size portion. It also came with chocolate ice cream and banana, which we didn't expect. We were both delighted with the cheesecake, it really made our meal, definitely 5/5! I would go back for that alone. Service was maybe on the slow side, but that kind of suited us as we wanted a catch up. I will definitely be going back! Maybe I will try breakfast next time.

This was a very cool place that we happened to stumble upon. We loved the eclectic decor and the food was great. We did have to wait a while to receive our entre which is why I give it a four.

Best bacon and egg sandwich in England.

The diavolo gnocchi is so flavorful and is just the right consistency. Would absolutely recommend this dish and restaurant.

On my first trip to London I heard that I had to try the fish pie at Bills.

It's centrally-located in a big park square and has a huge outside terrace with multple bar stations. Sometimes there are concerts or films set up in the park so you get a free show while you get tanked after work, and everybody is there after work. I miss getting drunk with my bud Nicky Glasses at Parlor, miss you buddy. Some day we will have to go there to reminisce inside bevys.

We were given menus and offered a choice water - including free tap water with ice and mint leaves, were presented a complimentary salmon amuse bouche and ordered cocktails. So far, so good. Once our delicious cocktails arrived, we ordered our starters and mains, and a bottle of wine. Unfortunately the white wine arrived warm, but it did come with an ice bucket, so it cooled down whilst we ate our starters. To our surprise, the mains (a standard burger and chips) arrived stone cold, but we let the waiter know, and he seemed genuinely apologetic and brought us fresh ones, which were hot. The food wasn't bad, but neither was it anything outstanding. The whole Parlour bar and restaurant menu has a quirky "circus" theme, with the cocktails named things like "tears of a clown" and "fairground millionaire", and the chips served in mugs or flower pots! Our burgers were served on a plastic cafeteria style lunch tray. Whilst the service was good, the prices were a little on the high side given the quality. I suppose it's the central Canary Wharf location that draws in customers looking for team lunches paid for on company credit cards.

The establishment has a nice mixture of cozy and airy, which was perfect for a lazy(ish) Sunday. I hate to use this word, but I'll use it anyway (because I can't think of a better descriptor): the service here is "super" friendly, and very knowledgeable, particularly regarding the ales on tap. The barkeep gave us a few sample pours without waiting for us to ask, which we greatly appreciated. Because of that, we were more than happy with the pints we ordered. Moving on to the food: the roasts were delicious, in particular the pork loin, which was moist and flavorful. I enjoyed my roast beef as well. The Yorkshire pudding was wonderful and I might have been just as happy eating that alone for my meal, to be honest. The pub is in walking distance of the touristy areas of Greenwich, so it's easy enough to put some good food in your belly and continue on to your sightseeing, afterward.
