My car's check engine light flicked on while driving on I-70, and suddenly it wouldn't go above 40 MPH. Finding a good mechanic is hard enough, but a mechanic in an emergency, in a town that isn't yours, and on a holiday weekend--that's impossible, right? But somehow Bill not only diagnosed and fixed our issue, but kept us appraised of his work in a timely manner AND didn't cost us a fortune. We were between Idaho Springs and Georgetown, so we pulled over and called Bill. He was the only shop open on a holiday weekend and he answered immediately and told us a couple of things he thought it might be. He checked to see if we thought we felt safe enough to drive on the side roads to get there, and that we had a ride to get us from his shop to where we were going, and let us know he might not be able to get to it that night but would call us in the morning. I'm so happy we broke down where we did, and wish Bill could be my regular mechanic. We were stranded in Dumont a few days back while on vacation. I found Bill - who was highly rated on google - and he did not disappoint. After leaving a message he called me back within 10 minutes and drove down from Avon to help us. His prices were very reasonable and he diagnosed our car problem quickly. He even followed us down to Idaho Springs so we could pick up parts and helped us finish the repairs even though we had already paid him for his work. I would recommend Bill to anyone - he was a real stand up guy and very honest. That can be really hard to find when you are female working with a mechanic. I was driving from Iowa to western CO for my son's D2 conference championship games. My car died at the Dumont exit but I was able to limp it over to Bill's shop. He drove out to West Chicago Creek Campground (WAYYYYYY off the paved roads) to help rescue our RV and get it back into driving condition after an electrical freakout. My daughter and her friend were in Colorado this week. Drove all the way from Illinois to enjoy skiing on Spring Break from college. They ran over a large snow covered rock on the highway coming back from skiing, and ruptured the car's oil pan. This kind man came over to the Airbnb they were staying at to assess the damage.
