Waitress walked off and never came back with my water. Had to track her down twice to request water before I finally got water. Ordered basted eggs with English muffin, got eggs over medium with whole grain toast. Politely said, I actually ordered English muffin, (did not mention that I didn't order fried eggs) she said "are you sure you don't want the toast? I said, no, I would like the English muffin. She walked off and served several other tables and started filling their drink orders. My husband tracked down a different person to get my English muffin, by then my not basted eggs were cold. I get it, mistakes happen to the best of us. A simple acknowledgment or apology would have been welcome, but not a word. It made me feel like I was the one being difficult and I hate being that person. It isn't cheap eats, so I simply wanted what I paid for. The fried potato hash towns were tasty and well seasoned, the eggs (however they were cooked) were good enough. Overall the food is what you expect for a traditional breakfast. If you don't expect amazing service you will enjoy the meal well enough.

The burger was made with some kind of magic or something, i dont know for sure but maybe Bigfoot had something to do with it. I am recommending this spot to anyone and everyone because that burger was indescribably good. Call me plankton because i need that recipe. Seriously good job guys. 9999999/10

We were driving up from Nanaimo to Fanny Bay and decided to make a pit stop here for lunch. What a…read moregreat decision that was! They have patio seating and a nice open area for ordering lineups and parking. We got a couple items and they were all fresh, delicious, and generous in portion size. Although they're mostly known for burgers, we ordered a fish and chips for variety. It came with 2 large pieces of lightly battered fish, crispy on the outside and flakey fish inside without being heavily oily. The coleslaw it came with was the only thing we didn't enjoy, as it was too creamy and didn't have much flavor. We got three burgers: 5 alarm, classic and little foot. All the burgers had a delicious beef patty which was juicy inside, a little crispy outside and just enough char flavor (not burnt). 5 alarm had deep fried jalapenos which was quite a pleasant surprise. The classic was a good size and well-balanced. The Little Foot was the priciest of the 3 but definitely worth the extra dollars as it comes packed with goodies! Requires some assembly, but what a beauty when it's all put together! Overall it was a wonderful experience for amazing burgers and worth the drive out! Reasonable prices for generous portions!!

The place is a round log frame building that is quite spectacular inside of you are a log fan. This time of year in Parksville is pretty quiet, most places make hay in the summer and shutter for the slow season All of our food was delicious, prepared with care. Now to be fair there was hardly anyone in the place other than us five, so the kitchen wasn't slammed with people. That all said we enjoyed a wonderful, if somewhat pricey dinner, that would bring us back again!

He asked if we had called earlier and we said no. He said he had a table but he would need it for a 7pm booking they had and if that was ok. It was about 530 so that was plenty of time for us to finish and we accepted the table. We ordered seafood chowder, oyster Rockefeller, seafood sampler, and a lobster tail. Everything we had tasted wonderful. The rice pilaf that came with the sampler was cooked perfectly. Beautiful rice separation, nice mixture of celery, carrots, wild rice and either leek or onion; nicely seasoned. The halibut and salmon were cooked nicely and had a lovely cream sauce. Veggies nice and al dente. Oyster Rockefeller tasty and fresh. Lobster cooked beautifully, was tender and with hot butter to dip was lush. Seafood chowder was the right texture and consistency, not too thin not to thick and enough seafood to be proud of its name. For dessert the special of the night was a flourless chocolate torte served with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. That was delicious, not overly sweet and had a nice chocolate flavour and texture was nice and smooth. The service was impeccable, water was always filled and the manager or another server always asked if every thing was alright and or if we were happy. But also you can see with how busy it was they would go off to tend other tables. That being said the fact they take the time to ask and make sure you are taken care of is awesome. I've been to fine dining where the serve disappears and doesn't ever ask how things are until like the last 10 minutes. Overall for an impromptu dinner here we were pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I would recommend dining here if your in the area, reservations might be best as this was a Monday and they were packed.
