On a Friday my vet in Edmonton was closed, my…read morealternate vet couldn't see us until late in the day, the emergency vet wasn't answering their phone/ not open, and I was leaving for Calgary ASAP. I contacted Dr.Kimura to see if she could see my cat, and was happy to let me know the clinic was open until 6, and they would be happy to help when I arrived. I've known Dr. Kimura for what seems like decades... we met through love of ferrets, and generally all critters. I've seen her stitching up two loving fur sibling K9's on Christmas Day that didn't want to share the turkey... She will do whatever she can to keep your critters happy and healthy. As Dr. Kimura was away today, but her partner in clinic care, Dr. Jan was in and was so kind to my creaky old lady - adopted 2 years ago at the age of 20 when her owner passed away. Seems the urgent care vet last night in Edmonton missed an abscess on her jaw from a bad tooth. Thankfully, I am reassured after some pain meds, sub-Q fluids, antibiotics and a plan to get my little fighter back in fine form. Yes, yes she growled at the lovely Dr. Jan, and then came for cheek skritches after. All the staff were on the ball and extremely caring & helpful. I will bring her back for very special geriatric dental work on a return trip in a couple of weeks. Many thanks team!

It was close to closing so they were probably in a hurry and just forgot, but from a student with a pet to another, I wouldn't overly recommend Healthy Paws.

( Lundgren and Young) These past few years, under new management, being told the insurance company we were with they lost the account or don't deal with them any more. Quotes were way higher with their new choices by hundreds of $$$$$. Getting notified by different brokers, whom I reach out too and than told they don't deal with my policy!! (over 5 in two years). This last two brokers were the worse. (2025 Sept) I was given notice about new policy in August and that they were not dealing with Aviva. Ok! respond with let me know whom you are considering and we can make an appointment. No Response!! No new policy was sent?? Than a day after our policy expires, get a generic response that our policy has lapse and if we wanted to continue with Excel &Y to give them a call?? So currently looking else where for a policy!!

Do not expect a call back if you leave a message. Do not expect the individuals to send you the required documents you need and if you do, they will all be password locked. Any changes made to your account have to go through a general email box and nothing says safety like changing your banking info with a general mailbox!
