I gave the new Doc more second chances than she deserved, simply because I was unaware that there are other cat only veterinarians / practices out there. I am tired of being soaked financially for tests upon tests only to find that unless I take the time to research what might be wrong with my cat, this Vet knows nothing! There are other Vets at KCH that I could try out as well, but I was never given the option, nor did anyone care enough to ask if I was satisfied in the first place. The place is overrun with staff bumping into each other that It feels more like the McDonald's of cat care than a top notch Veterinary care clinic. The only thing they are better at is charging more $$$$ than my previous Vet. Run away!!!

She knows animals don't get sick by appointment and is always there for the animals. Our last rescue was seen by 4 incompetent vet clinics here in Calgary with us being told they were the best. When they diagnosed our cat wrong each and everytime because not one of then did tests on him we were told to try Dr. Rowe at that point we had nothing to lose and we're going to Take him to Vancouver. Well she was AMAZING!, She ran tests and fixed the problem. It's hard to write this review because we don't like to share and once pet parents go to her they won't go anywhere else guaranteed. And for the record she has the MOST AMAZING STAFF and I mean all of them. BEST VET EVER

As a first time dog owner They were very informative and made sure I understood all the at home care and gave me some helpful tips about what to expect. They also followed up with a phone call. They put all my worries at ease. I also use this vet to get my dogs nails clipped, he has a lot of attitude but they are always friendly towards him and treat him with respect. They have also been helping me introduce him to other dogs while I'm there, to make my dog less nervous. Staff are extremely helpful and that's why i keep going back.

They gave me a reasonable price of around $500 including the blood test before surgery. Compared to other prices around the city this was very reasonable. I had to wait a month for the specialist to have an appointment. This is a little unusual in my experience but not a problem. When I brought him in it was done and he was in good shape when I picked him up. I never met the dental surgeon. A few weeks after his dental work I was taking care of a friends dog and my little guy gashed his head maybe on a nail under my deck. I called and was told I could bring him in but if it required stitches I would have to go to the emergency clinic. He was bleeding profusely so I rushed over there and Doctor B. Saw him and cleaned the wound cut the fur and gave him pain meds and an antibiotic shot. He had me make an appointment to see the surgeon 48 hours later. The only thing I find unusual is that this clinic does not seem to have a surgeon on staff. I don't know if that specialist works elsewhere or they just can't get someone in on a regular basis. My dog was well treated, kindly and I was reassured when they were cleaning his wound. As for the surgery they put in five stitches and he was ready to come home. I'll come back for regular care but know they keep prices down by moving patients along quickly.

I am far from upset with Beddington Animal Clinic! Yesterday (Aug 31,2026) my daughter brought her…read more13 year Chihuahua in to be euthanized and this was the worst experience I've ever witnessed! The assistant showed us to an examination room with a cheap thin blanket on a metal table right by where you could hear ALL the dogs crying. They gave our dog a shot and made it sound like it would put her to sleep before they did THE shot! Well for almost 40 minutes we kept waiting and waiting only to find the shot was to calm the dog. The shot to put her to sleep should have been after the calming shot! My daughter and grandchild were crying thinking their dog was fighting it. After over an hour then they gave the euthanasia shot! Let us sit there thinking the dog was fighting it. Oh and it gets better! They wanted us to pay for blood work for a dog who is being euthanized and the dog checked all the boxes of a dog who is suffering! Total money grab because my daughter didn't pay for all the bells and whistles and buy everything (ashes, box and paw prints). It was such a COLD and absolutely terrible place to put your extended family member down. DON'T take your dog here because they only care about charging more by trying to take advantage of your pain! I had to put my dog down and went to Pet Friendly Animal Clinic and a completely different story! Private room and away from everyone, soft inviting room with couches that made you feel okay. Private exit door so people don't see you crying your eyes out AND the cost is almost the same! Shame on all of the staff at the Beddington clinic, they're a disgrace to the industry!

I brought our dog here for vomiting and not eating for about 2 days. He was given a conservative…read moreapproach medication and I was told to come back the following day if my dog will not get any better. I brought him back to the clinic like first thing the following day. They kept him for a day for blood work and xray to determine what's going on. There were recommendations including "possible needing surgery" but no conclusive diagnosis or urgent recommendation to justify the surgery. Not very sure if there's a foreign object in the intestine. To cut the story shirt, after a day of observation we transferred our dog to Trinity hospital, and the surgery was done right away upon the strong recommendation from the emergency vet based on her blood work, xray and assessment of our dog's condition, which according to the emergency vet is really bad. So were very disappointed about the way Cochrane animal has handled our dog's condition. 1 day of observation didn't help our dog's condition. I will not recommend this clinic. Observation is expensive.

Having had stomach issues all his life, I knew he probably wouldn't survive and wanted to get him some place quick. I called the 17th Avenue Clinic, they were only 2 blocks from me, and was told they weren't accepting anymore patients they were getting ready to close and referred me to another clinic over 20 blocks away. It did not matter that my pet was suffering to them, not one iota! Needless to say, my poor Milo passed away on the way to the vet. He suffered more than he needed to. These folks have no empathy, don't care and caused me and my Milo unneeded suffering and pain. WOULD NOT RECOMMNED IF MY LIFE DEPENDED ON IT!!!
