She said that she wasn't familiar with this plan and would ask her colleague/supervisor, who told me "This is not South Asheville you'll have to pay us and Submit on your own", in a very arrogant tone. Wow, I guess I'll research closer to home. The only reason I visited this mill of an office was that a friend used them once and had a good experience. Perhaps with the doctor who has excellent credentials, but he should think about changing some of his staff. I've been in the medical field for 35 years and never experienced such arrogance.

It took over 45 min of continuous calling MyEyeDr to finally get them to fax it over to Walmart, their excuse why it took so long was that they were having trouble faxing it. What a lame excuse! I feel they intentionally did not give me the correct contact prescription & making me wait for it to be faxed for over 45 min was because they were angry I wasn't buying the contacts from them. Buyer beware they are more interested in money than they're interested in pleasing their customers! Walmart had WAY cheaper prices in contacts & glasses! I will not be going back to them next year for an eye exam.

Well hello EYES!!!…read more Can I just say...I was in awe just from looking through the front window. The moment I noticed the optical shop, I had to stop through! I felt like a kid in the candy shop! I spoke with Daniele and she assisted me immediately with selecting several frames. I had a certain look and she helped me bring that dream to life! As a therapist, I had to get the "look" and I feel that was achieved. So, what's so special about this place is, they are family owned and they actually cut their own lenses...so what they means is, instead of waiting 2-3 weeks to get your frames, you can have them in about 2 days. I would have had them in 1 day but I was late to waking up and they close at 5pm. Otherwise, they are the quickest office I've ever been to and literally THE best! I paid out of pocket but it was the best because there aren't a lot of special places like this one. So I have to give credit where it is due! I was greeted by Joel (been there for 10 yrs- a good sign) and I asked if he could realign my Oakley eyeglass frames which he did. I use this method to determine the quality of customer service. He impressed me so much that I went to the front counter where Melodie scheduled my eye appointment. At my eye exam appointment Christine (been there for 15 yrs-another good sign) completed the intake process with outstanding service. Dr. Kilgo was extremely through with my exam explaining everything and also impressed me with her professional expertise.

I got headaches from eyestrain trying to "get used to them," as they encouraged me to do. The optometrist insists the glasses are correct for my vision and that there's something wrong with my physical or mental health. The owner says she's never given a refund in 34 years and isn't going to now. It isn't true that they make the glasses on site. They contract the work from a lab that they say gives them one chance to make corrections.

Dr. Fuller also made it possible for me to order a pair of brown contacts by ordering clear ones and having them dyed by another professional. Having been to optometrists in 4 different states, I am glad to have settled in lovely Asheville. Dr. Fuller is the best optometrist I have yet visited.
