Our home sold in hours with a cash offer which meant we had to move out quickly. With no time for more yard sales we needed help fast. Chris and his family were amazing. They went out of their way to accommodate our tight schedule. They took truck load after truck load of salvageable items to local thrift stores that support the community such as St. Vincent De Paul and the Lighthouse...It is tough parting with your years of accumulated boxes (of memories and unused items being stored because "we had the space"). But knowing they were going to be used to help families in the valley was a good feeling. It was an invaluable service. We feel blessed to have worked with them.

Okay, so I've been a customer since 1982. They were very good for many years however the last few…read moremonths have been frustrating to me. In Sept 2023 they forced us out of the garbage bin we'd been happily paying for on time or in advance for around 25 years then replaced it with 3 large cans that I was told would hold about the same amount. NOT. Then the price more than doubled. A year ago I would have given them 5 stars but now it's 3 at best. I do not think they really have that "friend and family" attitude anymore that they advertise on their website. When I called to talk to someone about making us change over to cans and asked to have them review my account they were not very helpful and even though they promised to get back to me after they reviewed my service no one ever did. They changed from people actually picking up the garbage to automated service and that's why they forced people to give up their garbage bins. They really don't care about the customers needs. We live in the country and have tons of garbage to get rid of and I also have a business that has a lot of large boxes to get rid of. I do not have a way to drive them to the dump so now they are just stacking up. Not happy here. It would be nice if they actually cared about their customers needs.

What I mean by that is they don't have any major piles of inventory still left over which means they'll have to drop the prices like other scrap yards around the Tri-Cities area. Every time I go there their piles are down which means they are steadily shipping metals out and their prices stay up. I've been to all the scrap yards around here and everybody else is going down on prices because apparently they don't know how to get rid of their inventory but yet Mayflower seems to keep their yard nice and clean and ready for people to bring in their stock

The crew was 2 young men who had obviously not been trained well. We had worked very hard prior to their arrival to separate the donations from the garbage...didn't matter, they threw it all away! They charged $350 per load to the landfill and made 2 trips because they brought a small trailer! Then charged $275 for the load going to be donated. Tim was flippant when discussing the job in the phone. If I had been the one making the final call, we would not have used this company.
