It is a little trashy in the little "rooms" or covered bench areas but other than that is a nice clean walk! It has a splendid view of the river and falls, and a good view of the city! This is something fun and easy to do in Spokane to see a nice view and get some fresh air!

Consider this the focal point of downtown Spokane after you've slid down the Radio Flyer and fed the goat, take a stroll down this gothic-esque bridge. Protip: be on the lookout, you can sometimes spot Osprey swooping down by the rocks. Protip 2: just north of the river are a couple FREE parking spots usually not occupied. If you don't mind walking a little bit and are half as cheap as me, it's a great place to find a spot!

Four Lakes seems like quite a small city in general and this historical marker in a way seems like…read morea bit of an oddity. It is well placed in a calmly serene & very clean grassy prairie type area. It is well kept and probably for good measure. It was the site of a rather grisly war between a mass of native indian resistance soldiers and the well armed servicemen of the US Army during the Yakima War. If you read the history of the war, it hardly seemed like a war at all as the natives were hardly a match for the army men with their newly developed firepower. They were above to keep the natives at bay from afar without hardly any hand to hand combat. There may not have been any hand to hand combat at all from the information I could fine. At the end of the day zero army men lost their lives. The natives.....weren't so lucky. They have a large selection of books and media but my favorite is The Library of Things collection. So many extra items you can check out like an air fryer, telescope, steel drum, soft serve machine... you name it they probably have it. The library itself has large areas divided into children's, teens, and adults. They have free Wi-Fi available that is quite fast and reliable. A half-dozen children's computers are in the front of the library, the adult computers are several steps further. Plenty of seating areas for adults and those under 18. 3-D printing services are also available (as well as at Hayden). Friendly librarians, too!

I always take my daughter to their play and…read morestory time and it is great. my daughter loves to go. the staff members are very good with the kids and really engage themselves when they read the stories with the kids. the library is relatively small but clean and organized. being new to the area, the staff really helped me out as to registering for the library, checking out books, and community information that I can take a look at outside in the library's lobby. Their story and play times here are Thursdays at 10:30am and have since added a Saturday time as well as a trial.

Computers are available for use as well as study rooms and printer/copier services. The staff is very friendly and sociable. The library belongs to a larger network and can easily transfer books between branches or request books from outside libraries if needed. Bonus this location offers Fit and Fall classes twice a week. First, the gentleman who answered the appointment line was professional, courteous, and efficient. We called on a Wednesday morning and he was able to schedule get an appointment for us on Friday! We arrived at the CDA Social Security office about 15 minutes early to allow for check-in. We received our numbered ticket and only had to wait ten minutes until we met with Kiana. Kiana was professional, courteous, very personable and friendly. In addition, she was extremely patient in answering all of our questions and helping us with our request. TOP MARKS to Kiana! We appreciate how hard these representative work for us and we just wanted to express our appreciation for making this a positive and productive appointment!!
