TOP SHELF SH*T Bolingbrook's premier liquor emporium has a huge selection and solid savings for members. Binny's is part of the Promenade at the intersection of Boughton & Janes. There are dozens of Binny's across Chicagoland and this is the third one I've been to (after Elmwood Park and Willowbrook). The inside is cavernous; despite clearly posted signage, you still may need to ask for help, so unless you enjoy aimless wandering, don't be shy! A 1.75L bottle of Russian Standard vodka was $30 (Binny's members save $5). They've got plenty of cordials and imported liqueurs like Italian limoncello, Greek ouzo, and sherry. There are entire aisles dedicated to whiskey, vodka, tequila (whoop there go my pants!), and gin. Wines are priced fairly and you could spend hours perusing the bins of red, white, and rosé. On the right side of where you enter, there's a humidor filled with cigars. It's not always manned -- you'll need to ring a bell to summon a sales associate -- but Greg was patient while I made my choices. The humidor was stocked with a nice variety of Montecristo, Arturo Fuente, Romeo y Julieta, Oliva, lower-tier Cohibas and lots more. They have a dizzying variety of craft beers and a wall fridge packed with cold cans, bottles, and mini kegs. I found a sweet 22oz'er of Sapporo (my 2nd favorite Japanese beer) alongside a 24oz Modelo picante. The beer prices aren't too bad, although you can find cases of domestics (Coors, Miller, Budweiser) for $1-3 less at CVS, Walgreens, and Meijer. I was disappointed that not only did the store not carry Big Mich michelada mix, but the manager-looking type behind the counter flat out told me "he'd never even heard of it". Well pal, I got news for ya--Big Mich is *THE* best michelada mix on the market, and furthermore, THEY'RE CHICAGO-BASED! If Binny's stocked this local brand (and they absolutely should), I wouldn't have to venture out to a liquor store in the city to hunt it down. * TL;DR * This holiday season, why not get your relative a large bottle of alcohol? They probably need it. Binny's is terrific when it comes to broad strokes, but finer details may require additional stops. If you're searching for something specific to a region or geographic area (like my Asahi Dry lager from Japan) you'd have better luck at La Fiesta Market (for Latinx stuff), H Mart (for Asian goodies), or other ethnic grocery store. I saw a motto posted somewhere that said "if we don't carry it, it's not worth drinking!" While this is mainly true, and you can find the majority of things on Binny's shelves, no store is perfect and there's ~always~ room for improvement. read more

This is our go-to location for wine and champagne in our neighborhood. With the on-going pandemic, they have a very convenient curbside pickup and have always delivered in a timely fashion. The selection is vast, with prices that are competitive amongst the other liquor stores and supermarkets in the area. This place has definitely stepped up their liquor game! They have an amazing hard Cider section now! I ended up spending over $100 trying out what they had to offer. They do sell 2 Fools but they really need to get their pineapple flavor as well as adding the Smith and Forge brand. Overall staff here is great, store is clean, it's easy to navigate. I love Binny's. Coming from NJ where we had a store called Canal's, I was looking for a place like this that had all the beer, wine, and anything else you were looking for. I'm into beer, and they have a wide range of selections from both local and national breweries. It's a regular stop for me to restock my collection that's helped gotten me through the pandemic! Should be a zero but you have to give 1 star to post review. Let's start with Binny's will ultimately not care about this but just want to put it out there. Horrible customer service including Managers. They need to be trained or retrained on how the system works for their rewards program at Willowbrook and Bolingbrook. One customer not shopping there again will not put a dent in Michael Binstein's business and I clearly understand that. Anyone from Binny's feel free to reach out on who to contact and I will so you can see my rewards account and that I'm speaking facts as to the customer I am. I'm menstrual and they have PB&J Vodka. Can I be any clearer? Also, this is a liquor store located within a mall. God, I love the suburbs! The mall is one of the places you most need liquor (because people have children, and then they bring them here), second only to anywhere you go on a weekend or weekday. I like this Binny's because even though it's attached to the mall, it's accessible without visiting any other stores and the staff is helpful. I especially like the woman who saw my BBF (Best Booze Friend) and I eying the PB&J vodka from across the store and came by to chat us up about it. Solidarity, sister. Parking is easy, the store smells like spicy wine and the staff was helpful. Their selection of mixers is pretty bunk, but Meijer is right across the street so it really isn't too terrible an inconvenience. They also sell salmon vodka. Yes, that's apparently a thing. So be careful not to barf while eying up the other delish spirits. read more

Service is top notch, managers are friendly and helpful, show a lot of interest in helping customers get what they are looking for.

The location is great, but the selection is limited. I was expecting more selection with all types of whites, but they fell short. Plenty of chardonnays to choose from, but that was about it. I find a great pinot blanc for a decent price, but it was not easy to find. i would recommend they send their buyer out to California and stockup on some lovely wines that aren't all in Napa and Sonoma. They would be surprised what spectacular selections are offerred! read more

Oh how I wish Binny's existed in Michigan! One of the few places I definitely miss in Illinois. Generally I try to go to Binny's on Ogden in Naperville or on Butterfield in Lombard. They seem to be larger locations, and have much larger beer selections. The Bolingbrook location is the most convenient when I'm on my way back out of town though. Last time I was at this location the employees were super helpful (they generally are at any of the Binny's I've been to). I've had items special ordered for me before, which is a really nice service. They always pack everything up securely for you, and I've had cashiers offer to help bring everything out to my car before. Not necessary, but a nice gesture. I also really appreciate how informed all the employees are. They've been really helpful when you are looking for something specific, when you need a recommendation, or just informing you about the products. I'm pretty much guaranteed to make a stop here every time I'm back in IL. My only gripe: It would be nice if you could earn points on beer. Not all of us are wine drinkers. read more

Update: the Business Owner reached out and will hand the issue to the operations manager. Customer service is highly lacking but they have a great variety of products. Although they never seem to have what I'm looking for but my husband usually can find his first or second choice. We went in as they opened on Superbowl Sunday for a bottle of wine which I couldn't find and a bottle of rum that my husband easily found. A lady at the wine counter asked if we needed help. My husband responded, "Yes, my wife is looking for a certain wine." I kid you not she walked away. We couldn't believe it. Perhaps I am a bit spoiled by the glory that is encased in the Binny's South Loop location, but I just think that this Binny's feels more like an afterthought than a well planned out store. I did not expect to find the whole gourmet food section here; but I did not also expect to find absolutely nothing. Nothing, nada, zilch when it comes to cheeses, chocolates and snacks. Wait, I take it back, near the registers, there was a small assortment of olives. On my first visit here, I was on the lookout for some Pink Catawba wine, from a Midwest winery. When I asked the guy manning the wine section, he stated "Well, I've never heard about a wine like that." Well buddy, type it into that computer in front of you; just because you've never seen it, does not mean it does not exist. So after a short computer search, he comes up with what I was looking for, and grudgingly points out where it is located. Second visit was on Independence Day. We walked in the door at 3:45, and they were closing shop at 4:00. We were greeted by the manager, who told us "Hurry up, since we are closing in 15 minutes." Well, no shit, Sherlock, you only have about 10 signs on the window that told us this when we walked in the place. We were making some quick beer selections. As we were waiting in the checkout line, the manager, even with 10 minutes left to go, was refusing entry to customers. Finally we were at the cashier, who kept on telling us that he was ready to go home. I will probably not be frequenting this location in the future. Granted, it is very close to home, but I'd rather head over to the Willowbrook location, or my beloved South Loop location. read more

So my local binnys was out, but I see the Bolingbrook has my drink in stock online. So I drive the 30 mins, as a loyal Binnys customer, and when I ask, the assistant manager says "Do you shop here often? Sorry we only sell that to people who shop here all the time. I have it in stock but can't give it to you" I shop at Binnys weekly, but not anymore, I am soooo pissed. This young man needs to learn alot about customer service. Let me be clear, Binnys as a chain is amazing, but the management at this specific location is disrespectful. read more

Made a $400 purchase, some gift certificates and a case of 'Not Your Father's Root Beer' for a gift. The cashier accidentally ripped the box when looking for a sticker because the barcode doesn't work for cases? I politely asked one of the male employees if he could get me a new case because it was a gift. Without saying anything he grabbed the ripped case and went off. That's ok, but when he came back with the new case he said, "next time you remove loose 6 packs on the cases can you put them back!" Seriously? No thank you, just a unfriendly shot. He felt the need to admonish me for removing loose six packs on the cases that I had to remove to buy the case. Terrible altitude . Would never to go back this store. Being a handicap, 20 some year customer I am treated like a thief today. After consuming more than $ 150 I grab 5 empty Svedka boxes and 1 potato vodka on my way out. The cashier just checked me out yelled at me to stop me from taking more. I explain to him that I need some for my move. He said, ' I know, but,,,' I stopped and response, ' I'll bring them back after I've done my moving. ' This can be my last move in my life dye to my disability. I only took advantage of them once. Last time I did this is 2003. I found no issues as I was with one on R83. And I'm treated like a low class citizen this time. This instant teaches me at least two things, 1, this store's sales is very low. They do not have enough boxes to give away like R83 and Naperville ones. 2, the style of employees training is beyond my expectations. Doesn't know what she selling, only stared at customer, shame on whoever put her behind the service counter, and shame on Pink who have time to yap her mouth with other associate Instead of getting to know the products that's sell Right Behind Her!!! Walked in to this professional looking liquor place the first time thinking I can get exactly what I needed with decent customer service. Store was not busy at all. First saw a blonde long hair guy, he understood what I was looking for and pointed to customer service counter and said "the certain size of liquor bottle u want is selling behind the counter". Went there, and this Pink Hair chic was turned around and yapping her mouth with another associate nonstop, the other associate whose facing me say hi can I help u after 20 second, Pink turned around looking at me like I interrupted her chitchat, then said can I help u, I said I'm looking for smaller size bottle of vodka, she said at aisle xx, so I went to aisle xx (even the guy told me is behind counter), because she said they are All There. I walked up and down the aisle not seeing the size I want and a black associate approached me with a friendly attitude, he told me the same thing "the size you want is sold behind the counter Only", He nice enough to walk me up to the counter Pink saw me back to counter, she looked offended and pissed and stared at me without helping, JUST STARE, I opened up and asked if I can see the vodka bottle, Pink straight up saying "I don't have any vodka here, these are all tequila, vodka in aisle xx", omg bitch u serious?! My husband and I go to Binny's in Bolingbrook all the time and the staff is usually very helpful. The last 2 visits, first my husband spoke to the manager at the CS desk and my husband walked away feeling as though the manager felt bothered by his question and then I went today and the Asst Manager at the CS desk left me feeling the same way, like I was bothering him. Hopefully they will change, but we will be going to the one in Willowbrook from now on. read more

This was my first experience with this Binny's. I needed a bottle of Galliano for a recipe and nobody else had it- Jewel, Meijer, Dominicks!? So I finally got here. We asked one of the counter people for help. She took us the their selection. She showed us they had a few bottles on clearance but it was dark Galliano? I guess the have both and since I didn't know I went for the light one. Upon going to bartenders school a million years ago I remember Galliano as the baseball bat sized bottle- which thank God they have smaller bottles now since I only really needed 3oz. of it!? But their girl was very helpful and explained the different sizes and colors. Without questioning it which I thought was nice! I got the smaller, lighter Galliano and everything was great! My Harvey Wallbanger cake was just fabulous! This store was amazingly huge with every type of liquor imaginable!! I would like to go back when I have more time! They had some liquors by the register that were egg nog flavored liquors- wow I bet those were amazing! But I reframed, even though they were on clearance as well!! Just opened a few months ago. Inside looked similar to their Downers Grove location. Granted, I went in kinda on the slowest time for businesses in general but, would it kill them to have more sales on beers? They're actually a lot pricier than you'd think. You can get some of their stuff cheaper at Jewel than here. Not a bad Binny's but didn't see anything that would make this particular location stick out from their other locations. read more

You name it they've got it! We found everything from moonshine cherries to stories at this beverage depot. It really can't get any better unless they're giving away free booze (and they did have free samples when we went in yesterday). While some of the specialty items are overpriced, we have scored some freaking awesome deals on barefoot wine and Marco binny cigars. The Marco Binny cigars are actually the Binny brand, but they are a great cigar for a great value. The other brands of cigars are significantly cheaper than other smoke shops. For those that like to throw it back a little more than others, get the rewards card. We love going here for the selection and sales. You can even sign up on for their sales emails. read more
