Great selection of all the alcohol items you'll want to purchase for a party or holiday. They have an extensive selection of wines, whiskey, and beer ... and you can usually find what you want or they'll order it for you. They also have large format offerings, and a great cigar store inside for those that smoke. Binny's has really redefined the packaged liquor business with its huge store layouts, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and occasional tastings where you can learn something about the products. Our store is the Orland Park location, but at all outlets you cannot ship a gift to someone (an Illinois law) but you can buy it yourself and package it up for a UPS delivery. If you are in the market for libations for a celebration ... or cigars for the smokers in your family ... Binny's is the place to go. read more

Of the 4 Binny's I've been to in the western burbs, this one is the largest. A huge, unparalleled selection of wine, beer, booze, mixers, etc. Usually very well stocked, at times it can be tough to maneuver a cart in some spots due to all the booze! Regular prices are nothing to write home about. But sale prices can be good. The employees are very polite and helpful. Most of the time checkout is fairly quick. But it is best to visit off peak and well before a holiday, because then it can get crazy. read more

I think it's safe to say Binny's is my favorite liquor store in the Midwest. In terms of selection, I have yet to find another place that carries just as much wine, liquor, or beer. And since they buy in bulk and seem to have just about everything in stock, I'll say the prices are definitely cheaper than dropping by a grocery store. My favorites are always to shop for bourbon or browse their craft beer sections to see what's on sale and what new items they might have. On this last visit I picked up a sampler pack from Brewdog Brewery from Columbus, Ohio. I gotta say their IPA sampler 12 pack was pretty amazing. Would definitely recommend their Hazy Jane if you're into IPAs. Anyways, not much else I got on this one. 'Til next time, cheers! read more

If you're not a teetotaler and you haven't been living under a rock, you must be aware of the Binny's chain. One of the more comprehensive liquor stores I have ever seen, most locations are the size of a small grocery store, some with a gourmet food shop attached. I was in the Naperville location the other day and was very impressed with the service I got. A manager happened upon me in one of the aisles; I had my "wish list" with me (brands & products that you can't find everywhere, including Domaine de Canton ginger liquer, Hendricks gin, Bulleit Bourbon Frontier Whiskey, and Three Olives brand Root Beer vodka, and more; I wasn't necessarily planning on buying them all that day), and I was going to just browse until I found what I was looking for, but he took my list and in less than 5 minutes we'd made a tour around the store and he'd pointed out all the items I had written down. He had a great grasp on his stock (though he thought they didn't have the Domaine de Canton and then I spotted it on the shelf -- but they had it, that was the important thing). They have an impressive array of liquers, and many brands (including the unusual ones) of most other base liquors. Wish they carried a broader array of bitters (they had Angostura, Peychauds and orange), since a lot of cocktails these days are calling for different varieties (I know, if I were really ambitious I'd make them myself, right?), but that's pretty much the only thing I can think of to complain about here. Prices are reasonable as well. Good service, great selection, and you don't have to go into Chicago for it. Cheers! read more

I would give them zero stars but it won't let me. I went here yesterday to purchase black solo cups. NO AlCOHOL just cups. Was carded. I asked why when I was just buying cups. Was told I had to be 21 to purchase anything in the store. I'm 55. Earlier that day I had used my license for something else and had left it in my other coat. The older lady wouldn't let me purchase the cups and I had to go to Jewel to buy them where they also sell alcohol and gee guess what I wasn't carded there. Horrible service. I actually feel discriminated against and I'm white. I will never shop there again. read more

Going into Binny's makes me feel like an alcoholic in an...alcohol store! If you're thirsty, you're bound to find something to quench your thirst here. Great selection on everything - beer, wine, liquor...they even have a cigar room. If you're looking for gifts, this is a great place to go to if you run out of other ideas. This Binny's is clean and the staff is friendly. It's close to Katy Dumpling House, which is convenient. They also have a Binny's card club, much like a Jewel card, where you can save on alcohol by getting the club card price instead of the regular price. Not only that, but you can earn a 2% Binny's rebate for $500 of eligible wine purchase. Membership is free. Ya ya, who's got spirit? Binny's does! read more

This is a massive wine, beer, alcohol, and cool mixers/soda distributor in Naperville, Illinois. I have to admit, shamefully enough, that I am a big Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fan (yes I can feel your judgement) and had been dying to try the LVP Sangria which is mentioned often on the show. No where anywhere near me sells this and when I realized Binny's Beverage Depot had this available, I knew I had to stop by. I was very pleasantly surprised by the size and selection of items available here. First, the prices were incredibly reasonable and they have EVERYTHING you could want in the way of wine or mixers. I was also very impressed by how friendly and knowledgeable the staff was. It was a really slow Monday night when I stopped by so I got a great deal of personalized attention. I didn't feel judged by my purchased and actually enjoyed a lighthearted conversation with one of the gentlemen who worked there. This was a wonderful shopping experience. read more

My partner and I took a trip to Chicago, and he wanted to visit Binny's at this location to pick up a couple of items, and wanted me to check the place out, as well, as I had never been before. I obliged him, and we took a trip to DRANK TOWN! HOLY VODKA, BATMAN, WE GON' GET FUNKY DRUNK! Their selection is beyond ridiculous! Over 30,000 items, I believe, they have, and the place is huge! My partner went one way, and I went another. I discovered their store houses a humidor for the cigar aficionado in your life, as well as a wine cellar, and a classroom/demo spot, in which they host various and sundry events, both paid and free, throughout the week. My partner was able to find a drink he liked, as well as a mini-cigar within the humidor. I found they also offered candies and other snacks, found a bag of one of my favorite candies, browsed a bit more, then my partner and I met back up at the register to check out. Very friendly staff, helpful, informative. Really enjoyed my visit there, and I can't wait to return to attend an event and buy some more ADULT DRANK! Their motto is, "If you can't find it at Binny's, it's probably not worth drinking," and I'm inclined to agree! When you're in the area, check it out! read more

Not gonna lie... I was kind of let down. All I ever hear is how awesome Binny's is and how "they have everything" and "they're the best." Well, not this one... or the one in Burr Ridge. I was only mildly impressed with their beer selection and thought that they need to work on some better organization of the store in general. The staff, however, were very nice and offered us help when we needed a little directional advice within the store. I much prefer Sam's Beverage Depot in Downers Grove... and I mean pre- being bought out by Binny's. Now, Sam's had everything... le sigh. read more

I rarely drink much and I needed to get my bud helping me with a brake job some intoxicants. You never buy the beer before the brake job's done. After my visit with Pep Boys, I gave them a call to see if they had a special on my buds favorite brew. They didn't, but I made a stop in here anyway and I received a warm greeting by the employees, even though the store was going to be closing shortly. I think the chain has a pretty good following. It's weird to rate a liquor store right, especially a chain liquor store? I mean you go in, you buy the booze you want (need?) to get through 2020. They may have some good sales leading you to grab a bottle or two of something you didn't budget for but overall the trip is reliable, routine, mundane. A-ok. I think that is, unless, you're a scotch-hating wife trying desperately to buy scotch for her scotch loving husband. Then you can't just do a mundane trip. You can't (as I typically do for bottles of wine) just pick the coolest label. Scotch is weird and there are many nuances to it. Some is peaty, some is sweet, some is dry, some is aged in oak, some in rum, some in something else bizarre and obscure. It all means something to a non-casual scotch drinker and also the stuff is expensive, so as fun as it is to pick out a bottle based on the prettiness of the label font, it's not very practical. Thankfully Binny's has a few scotch geniuses at this location for whom I am so grateful! They don't talk down to you, they respect your budget, they take the few key words I DO know about scotch and then combine all of it into a smart and delicious recommendation. Most importantly, they've never steered me wrong. Most recently I went in for a Christmas scotch and got to see the back rare spirits room, where they had several options that met my needs and patiently explained the differences between them. Even though I may be an idiot about scotch, they never make me feel like one. It's getting rarer these days to get exceptional customer service in a transactional place like a boring old liquor store and it's absolutely more difficult to give that level of service during a pandemic, but Binny's does it so well! read more

Unfortunately, they did not have what I was looking for, "Dos Maderas Rum" and "Blantons Bourbon", but the knowledgable staff pointed me toward a couple of their recommended alternanatives and I was extremely pleased with the results. I'm torn as to what I should give this place - I've had some great experiences, and I've also been banned for 30 days. So here it is - I'll let you decide. I'm not much of a drinker, but I use to have a roomie and we liked to pre-party every now and then, and this place is just down the street from me so it's easy to go here. Being the non drinker I am, I dont' know what wine should go with what, or what is a "good year" , etc, etc. The experts here are very helpful and extremely knowledgeable so you would think - 5 STARS! and you would be right! But listen to this! So an underage friend of mine was in town - and I mean like a month away from being 21. Now we had been walking though the store, getting the evil eye from the employees as we pick some hard liquor for a party we were attending later that day. I am IN LINE, ready to check out and the manager asks to see my ID. No biggy, I'm old enough, but my friend isn't. "I'm sorry sir, you are going to have to leave, and return alone in order to purchase this.." What? "Why can't he just go wait in the car?" - "Well sir, I am now aware of this underage minor, and it is against store policy to purchase alcohol with a minor present". Really? So, Mr. Manager - what you are telling me is that if ANY person comes in here with a minor, they are not allowed to buy alcohol. " That is correct sir." "NO exceptions?" (I had a point I was coming to...) "No sir, if we made one exception, we wouldn't be following store policy" Ok I said. My friend left the store, and I waited about five minutes to prove my point. See, as I was walking around the store, I noticed a father with his son. Now the son must have been 13 or 14. I wait till the customer approaches the cashier and I call over the manager . Excuse me sir, did you just not clearly state that there are NO exemptions from your store policy? This child is clearly not of age, and you are not allowed to see this alcohol to this client! Now I understand that this is an extreme, but I was pissed, and didn't let it go. They told me to be realistic, and I said you are breaking store policy - Needless to say I was banned for 30 for my behavior. I still feel that I was in the right, and if they are going to make a rule like that - then they need to enforce it no matter what!! Some women like to buy makeup....and shoes and purses and other crap to accentuate their femininity. I like to buy beer, to accentuate my femininity, of course. You don't have to ask me twice if I want to check out Binny's when driving past it. Actually, I think I was the one who was all "...wait, DOYOUWANTTO?!" after it was suggested. I mean, who doesn't like buying beer after coming from a brewery where you were drinking beer? Pfft. This Binny's is huge. I mean, I'm used to the South Loop one (with the awful parking lot that rivals the castle location for the title of "worst parking lot ever") and the Marcey St. one, but in comparison to some of the others I've been in, daaaaaang Naperville! Walked in looking clueless and as other reviews mentioned, the employees here are so pleasant and helpful. Was directed to the beer section pretty much right away thanks to the happy fella up front. I'm not used to friendly Binny's employees, so this threw me off for a minute. In fact, I was 99% positive that in order to work for them it was required that you hate interacting with people other than your co-workers. That's definitely not the case here though. It's almost as if the Naperville Binny's doesn't know they're in the suburbs and instead thinks they're in the south. Like Florida south though, not Arizona south. Back to beer. I usually have my smaller beer stores, as my check-ins would indicate, but Binny's is great because they carry more than just local brews. They definitely have the largest selection of Clown Shoes than anywhere else I've been, which is nice because those beers are pretty affordable and I like to blow my paycheck in one spot. Typically, they'll also have the beers that can be hard to get when your usual spot only gets 1 or 2 cases in (such as Dirt Wolf). For this reason, Binny's can still lure me in. There is a large parking lot (to accommodate the large store, plus other stores) and it's on the route from Solemn Oath to Cross Town. While the expansion increased their space, the last 3 items I asked for were not there. Their responses when looking things up ranged from disinterested to downright ignorant. In one case I told them the exact distributor (Southern Wine and Spirits) and they just said " well we don't have it." No kidding, I knew that already, so order it! It was a $100/bottle liqueur not some random six pack. Used to be much better, but now Jewel and Marianos carry 90% of the same items, frequently at lower prices. After seeing many sponsorships for this place, I decided to try Binny's out once and for all. Twas pretty impressive I must say. Not you average random liquor store. Wide variety. The amount of different kinds of beer they had here was pretty nuts. Didn't look too much into the wine or hard liqs but 2/3 the store was dedicated to that so I'm assuming there's a ton of those too. Prices are decent. Great staff. I came in here recently while I waited for my pizza to get made (across the parking lot), and was able to locate my favorite two wines from Italy, from a variety of vineyards. I'm like a kid in a candy store when I come in here for beer. The selection is huge, and they always have some killer sales. I'm like a deer in headlights when I come in here for wine. I'm happy to give this place 4 stars because the staff is so freaking awesome when it comes to helping you figure out what you're looking for. The selection is outstanding, and manages to be intimidating if you're not an oenophile. Fortunately there are staff literally everywhere, and they love their jobs. I've never walked out of here with a wine I didn't like. I'm normally really happy with this binnys, but I called and placed a order for some syrups a week ago at this location. Waited a week to be told that my order was never placed in the system, thanks! I was gonna serve special tiki drinks using these syrups at a party this weekend.. So zero competence on their end. If it was a shipping thing I could understand, but to not even place the order after talking on the phone for several minutes and taking my info? I placed the order with another location that seemed confident they could possibly get it the Friday before the party after hearing my story. When I walk into Binny's, I get that same feeling of giddiness that I used to get as kid and walking into Toys R Us. There are so many options of beers, wines and hard liquors, it's hard to decide where to go first. Sometimes I wonder if this is what Heaven must be like. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They keep their distance and aren't bothering you every two minutes with a "Can I help you?" The two annoyances I have with Binny's though is that fact if you go in with a group, everyone gets carded at the checkout lane. Yes, I know why they do this, but still it's annoying. Secondly, what's with closing early on the weekends? I just pulled up at 9:30pm on a Saturday night and the place was dark. Argh! Probably the best liquor store in the central west suburbs of Chicago. Their spirits selection is amazing, and I've found many gems as far as rare single malt Scotch goes - the independent bottlings, though they were pricey. Nice selection of craft beer as well, and the wine is quite diverse. It's not a huge store but it's amazing how much they do cram in there. read more

This is a good place to buy Liquor. It has a good selection. The staff is familiar with the products. I still would like more European selections but I am too picky when it comes to Liquor. Though it seems like every grocery store sells wines and spirits now, they stick only to the most popular brands and a trip to the liquor store is in order. Binny's is one of the best options in the Aurora/Naperville/Lisle area due to a wide selection of both popular and less well known alcohol, a very knowledgeable staff willing to help you find something to pair with the trout amandine and herbed mashed potatoes you'll serve to your super-picky sister-in-law, and rather reasonable prices. Binny's is laid out in a thoughtful manner so you won't spend hours trying to locate where the Australian syrahs are. Their stock runs the gamut from cheap American beer to high end aged scotch and whiskey kept in glass display cases. Truly, there's something for every budget and you won't feel belittled if all you wanted was a decent bottle of red wine for under $10 to go with supper tonight. With this wide a selection, you are very likely to find what you are looking for and the customer service is top notch. If Binny's doesn't carry it, very often the staff will offer comparable alternatives or useful information on when the winery/distillery/producer will next ship. Sometimes you even get told where to look for those really unusual or hard to find options, and this is one of those stores where you can expect to find not just one option of a range (IE: Absolut vodkas and their many flavours) but many. Not all, however. Binny's stands out for me due to their willingness to carry local products as well as nationally known chains. Looking for a fruit wine? Blossom Meadery and Lynfred Winery both have representation without a trip out into Chicago or Roselle, which can be quite nice if you want to save yourself the trip. A good selection of international fare, including sake, mead, and more, also makes this a good trip. You can spend a lot of time unleashing your friends on finding interesting themed ales, too -- a great Thanksgiving, Christmas or other family holiday tip if you need the guys out of your hair for a bit. ;) Now, the downsides: Expect to be carded. It's posted all over the store, but they are adamant about it. Your friends and family entering the store must have ID, or they will not let you purchase anything, period. If they don't have ID, sit out in the car or go to the meat market or Office Depot. Joining the Binny's Club isn't necessary but shaves off the price of liquor. It's more notable if you intend to shop there a lot. Not a con, really, but a point to be aware of. Some of the more popular offerings reviewed in magazines or on television shows may not be stocked. You are always wise to do a little comparison shopping first, like with Jewel/Dominick's, Sam's, Malloy's Spirits, etc. You may find things are cheaper elsewhere, and an informed consumer is a wise consumer. read more
