They do not call customers back when they cause skin damage. Had a young lady who did not know how to apply the chemical peel burn me on my face where it caused scabs. I had been a long term customer but the Dr never called me back or my prescription in to help solve my problem. I continuously called and texted to no avail. I have been going g to BioDerm for about 3 to 4 yrs now. Originally for Acne, then Acne scars, and currently for laser hair removal for my legs and under arms. They do take real good care of you. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They make sure you are comfortable and not in pain. My Acne was severe before I got there. Its not as bad now. The laser hair removal has been working great. The hairs are no longer coarse and take longer to grow. Most areas, it doesn't grow anymore. It takes a couple of packages if you want it to stop growing completely. read more

I'm not one to go and give reviews but this place is awful, Mandi I believe is her name, refused to accept a Groupon because they can only be used for new patients, even though it clearly states that an additional voucher can be used as a gift and must be used by the same person. My wife went there the first time, had her consultation, Dr gave her the treatment and suggested additional services, (2 months ago). I called and they gave me the procedure and prices, she went back today and she was told she had to have a consultation, with a consultant, I told her what the Dr said and she said " I've been doing this for 14 years and I told what she could get" I told her that the "Dr" told what she should get and and she said that's she's been doing it for a long time...I told her I didn't care, she's not a Dr. So it appears that the Dr can recommend something, but a "consultant" whose not a Dr can come in and tell her what she needs. Apparently Groupon can sell whatever without the merchant knowing. Will definitely not be visiting this place again. There is a reason why there are so many negative reviews for this location. It might no be the business itself, but the employees acting the way they are are a direct reflection of the business. If I could give this place negative stars for their lack of professionalism and completely wasting my time, I would. Hubby bought me a Groupon for 20 units of botox for my birthday. Scheduled my consultation for 6:00 pm this evening. I arrived 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment only to be left sitting in their waiting room for 45 minutes because "she" was still another patient. I finally left since I did not feel comfortable with the idea of someone who clearly had no regard for my time would be responsible for injecting me with botox. If the staff lacks this type of consideration before even meeting their clients, I doubt they possess the accumen and ability to provide safe and solid treatment. I have been going to medispas for 10 years. Started off with photofacials then tried botox. I have always used reputable medispas in Dallas and only began trying to use groupon after i got married had kids and begin to stay at home with the kiddos. I have in the past ALWAYS been happy with the places that i have used with both botox and photofacials. Great result! The photofacials are very painful, but in order to see the results that is what it takes! Botox was always very effective. I would get 20 units in my forehead and then moved to 30 units for forehead and brow. It would last about 4-5 months. I saw a groupon for $150 botox at Bio Derm so i went in thinking i would get just that and nothing more. I ended up in an office being offered alot more including photofacial and tattoo removal... after all i sure needed it!. I was told that in order to get a botox special there was a 3 area minimum and that would cost $600, photofacial was over a $1000 and tattoo removal of 5 treatments cost around 500. The botox worked well enough but when i asked how many units was being used they said 50 units. It did work well and i was happy with that. However, i did not like that you had to buy 3 areas!! The photofacials did absolutely nothing!! I saw 0 results and this was even after i asked the Dr. to increase the intensity. He said it was dangerous and could cause burns.. i knew better though because i had treatment in the past that worked miracles and knew either they wanted you to pay more to get the results or their machines were not that great. I paid for 2 different packets on tattoo removal for a total of 10 treatments costing me upwards of $800 for a 1" x 2" black tattoo of 3 letters and guess what! Its still there! Its lighter but you can still easily read it! When the technician took the after picture of my tattoo she must have had it set on some sort of filter that made it look way lighter. I said, WOW! THAT LOOKS REALLY LIGHT THROUGH THE CAMERA! She said i know it worked really well huh? I said, NO! THAT IS NOT AN ACCURATE REPRESENTATION OF WHAT MY TATTOO REALLY LOOKS LIKE, CAN'T YOU SEE THE DIFFERENCE? She totally ignored my statement. I am told, all the time, no way you're 56! Would never recommend this place for laser hair removal. I started to go here for laser hair removal for my face, when I had went there they had told me that my hair would be perfect for laser. I did one treatment of laser ( 6 sessions) and I still had hair growing on my face the same way as from the start. I opted to buy another 6 sessions due to understanding that statistically it can take 6-12 treatments for a better result in hair removal. I completed my last 6 sessions that I had bought... and my hair was still growing the same amount as from the VERY BEGINNING. I wanted to talk to the main doctor there and their response was offering me to buy more sessions. After I spent over $2000+ for what .... absolutely nothing but for my hair to be growing back the same amount as it did before. They ended up telling me that I wasn't at the proper age to get laser hair removal..... but remind you when I had came in they told me my hair was perfect for laser. A true business looks out for their customers and wants the best for them, not being money hungry. I bought a groupon for BioDerm in November, made my appointment for my day off (MLK day) on 1/16/17. I drove to the Hurst mall and to my shock they are OUT OF BUSINESS! CLOSED! What a waste of my holiday, travel time, gas, etc. You would think they could have done the courteous thing and called customers to let them know. I was very disappointed in this skincare company. This is my personal experience from November 14, 2011. I purchased a Groupon for laser hair removal went in for my initial consultation and after a 2 hour consultation left with a $4,000.00 bill. Not once during this consultation, which I might add was pretty high pressure, was I ever informed that once you prepay for these services even though none of them have been performed they are NON REFUNDABLE even if I chose to cancel everything on the same day of signing. Once the consultation was over I did follow through with some research on the internet and was surprised with all the negative reviews, and the reviews that suggested that the 5 star reviews you would see were all listed within 2 days of each other implying that they were posted by employees. My consultant assured me that they were a reputable company having been in business 9 years, receiving the D Beauty magazine award 4 consecutive years for best Medspa.The Better Business Bureau shows that Bioderm Skin Care and Laser Center has been in business since 2005, for 6 years not 9 as I was told. My expectations were to find glowing reviews and ethical business practices. On further investigation with the Better Business Bureau I found that they have had 7 complaints in 3 years, 2 in last 12 months. Four of those complaints were not to the customers satisfaction. The consultation appt started late, ran late, & essentially turned into a hard sales pitch for other services. Sadly, they are services I would more than likely want to have. Today, I called AGAIN to get an appt- was told again I would need to see the PA or DR before I could get done----- because they can't find my paperwork, now?!? The receptionist doesn't seem to know much of anything. I feel badly for yelling at them- it's not their fault. So. My Groupon expires in April. They are telling me I need to come in April 1st-- for ANOTHER consultation & then April 4th for the actual appt! As a nurse, I have seen patients have open heart surgery with less hassle. This. Is. Ludicrous. (Btw- the PA & Physician are only there during day time hours when most people are working- & are off on most weekends. This week I was told they are gone ALL WEEK with no coverage!?) The only nice thing I can say? It's a very pretty office & appears to be clean. I visited Bioderm to help get control of my ACNE. I get a dermabrasion and chemical peel every 6 weeks. At the beginning I went more often, but now thankfully I have control over my acne and only have to get treatments every 6 weeks. The ladies that work here are concerned about your individual needs. Unlike most places, I do not feel as if they are trying to get my money. I feel that they recommend what is best for my skin. I have received treatments for over a year and I use their products. This place is dishonest and a bait and switch joint. Beware that they make you sign a no refunds document. They know their bad behavior and know you can't do anything about it to get a refund. My wife was brought in for treatments she was told she needed. They switched the service person on her before treatment. The new technician she was given was new and the results were poor whereas the experienced technician who gave her the first service did a much better job. The major problem is we were told the treatment my wife was getting will not give the result she wanted. Rather we needed something else. Bait and switch. Rather than start over from scratch for price already paid and give us what we needed, they were trying to get me to invest in them more by switching me over to this new service. Do NOT waste your time with this place. I have never been pitched an upsale so hard in my life. They expect you to sign up for $2,400 in services before they even fulfill the Groupon that brought you in there in the first place. The assistant that "consults" with you rapidly begins pitching you on their services while pointing out the flaws that you need to address. When you refuse the upsell, her demeanor goes from smiling and nice to flat out RUDE complete with slamming papers down and ushering you out quickly only to be told the 'doctor' is not in at the moment anyway. Funny....wonder who the man with the lab coat was that I saw walking around? The sad thing is, if they would change their approach/tactics, they most likely would get future business through their upsells. The only analogy I can draw comparison with is imagine going to buy a car yet you've never seen the car nor test driven it. Yet you have to go through the sales pitch for the extended warranty / extended maintenance plans yet when you demand to see the car first, you're told it's not available. i hope i can help someone else so what happen to me doesn't happen to them. i went in for juvederm fillers and the out come was so bad i had to go to a plastic surgeon to fix my face. i really didn't want to do my lips it w as suppose to be just the labial folds of my face and a little bit on the upper part of my lip. the lady that did my consult and told me how much i needed and what she thought i needed - this lady is not a lic. person. the doctor never saw me. he did a phone consult . i came back the next week to have my injections and the nurse that placed it insisted that i use all 3 syringes because it was like liquid gold. i explained to her all i cared about is that i looked normal. we didn't have use it all just because i paid for it. the out come was awful. i was so depressed. my lips looked like duck lips . i had to go to a plastic surgeon in plano to inject hyaluronidase to fix my lips . after a week they called to see how i was doing. i explained what happen to me . the doctor wanted to see me then . we made an appointment and he never showed up. please i beg of anyone take this serously. make sure you go to someone that has tons of positive reviews. i'm not a depressed person, but this really pushed me to that point. read more
