Very rude front desk personnel. After the doctor removed a spot on my chest, the front-desk lady refused to make a follow-up appointment for me until I verified my own insurance. And this was after they already had my insurance info and the doctor had treated me. I tried to explain that nothing had changed in the intervening days, that my insurance was the same, but she simply refused to set an appointment. Fast forward a few years and I decided to give them another try and...exact same problem. She will not even try to set an appointment for me because I did not have my insurance card in hand when I called. I told her I would bring the card with me to the appointment, but she not only refused to set an appointment but proceeded to yell and hang up on me! Yes, she actually hung up on me when I offered to bring my card with me to the appointment. I'm 66 years old and I have never in my life run into any so-called medical "professional" (to use the term loosely) who is so absolutely rude and uncaring about their own patients. For the record, I filed a complaint with the Texas Medical Board, the first two paragraphs are a copy of the complaint I filed. I hope that others will do the same, someone should put an end to this nonsense. Such unprofessional behavior is never acceptable, more so when it pertains to our health. read more

This rating is on the office management only. The office manager Teresa was rude and would not listen to the insurance information that I was trying to share. She just talked over me, stating her position. I understand the office policy, but not to at least listen the other side is dismissive and disrespectful. If Teresa worked for me, and spoke to a potential client like she spoke to me....she would be terminated! The healthcare system is broken and its all about money these days, but that shouldn't cause customer service to go out the window.. My medical plan would have paid 90% over what the PPO plans with big box (BCBS, Cigna, United and such) insurance companies pay, but all Teresa could focus on was that it was self-insured plan not backed by one of the big box insurance companies. read more

Took care of an ongoing problem in only 2 visits! No refund policy is a bit extreme for credit payments (insurance reimbursed).

After 6 months of treatment for my son,with no relief for him and doctors saying the family was just paranoid for itching also... we found Alliance Dermatology and I am never going anywhere else. Dr. Nguyen and his wonderful staff are amazing. We walked in without an appt, itchy and pretty hopeless. The front staff welcomed us in and worked us into the doctors schedule. Dr. Nguyen walked in, introduced himself then got to work. He didn't just ask us questions, he actually listened to our answers. He did a brief visual inspection and said he'd be right back. Two minutes later he walked back into the room and told us he wanted to do a quick painless test. 5 mins after that we had a diagnosis, prescription & samples to take home. Here we are 6 hrs after application and the itch is nearly gone. Thank you! If you have ANY skin issue I feel confident that you can come to Dr. Nguyen for relief. read more

I was treated for Bowen's cancer years ago by Dr. Nguyen at a different clinic. I was very impressed and recently sought him out for issues with sun damage areas/pre-cancerous spots on my face. Glad he is still local. He is very knowledgeable yet also willing to patiently listen and discuss with you "stuff you read on-line". Front office lady was just a little rushed/business-like, but friendly and helpful - even suggesting ways to shop for cheaper meds. I wish all medical profession appointments went as smoothly. I see no reason to go anywhere else for my derm. issues. read more

Thanks to fellow yelper Celeste's review, I first visited Dr. Nguyen about a year ago and have received excellent care since. Seems that my younger "fun in the sun" days sans sun screen have caught up with me, and after freezing a few pre-cancerous spots from my face Dr. Nguyen had to remove a small area that developed into a Squamos Cell Carcinoma. I appreciate the fact that he is never rushed; he takes time to explain what is going on, what needs to be done, and what the end result should be. I am receiving excellent care and I highly recommend Dr. Nguyen if you are seeking dermatological care. read more

After frolicking in the Ennis bluebonnets, two days later I broke out in a rash. Not just any rash but as my students called it "the epic rash". I was fairly certain I was getting worse by the second and Dr. Nguyen's office fit me in for an emergency appointment. Three days later I went back for another emergency appointment because the rash was erupting in other places and Dr. Nguyen increased my prescription dosage. I am fairly certain I am allergic to TX blue stem field grass and have learned the hard way never go into a field without pants and closed toe shoes again. I am also quite positive that Dr. Nguyen shortened the healing time of my epic rash significantly and helped prevent a lot of scarring. This rash was so bad I had blisters that broke and I got stuck to the bed but you would never know to see my legs now. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Nguyen. I bring him some bizarre painful skin problem about once a year and he always knows exactly what the wacky weird problem is, what to do about it, and how to calm down my fears. read more

I have mixed feelings about this office, The Dr was very nice and informative. However- the nurse in the front,I think her name was Teresa, was very rude and dismissive. I found them on yelp and even though I read the reviews I went ahead and still set an appointment thinking I'd have a different experience. To begin with when I walked in the office I was not greeted, she just immediately asked for my insurance card which I did not have physically only my mobile insurance card which I was trying to explain to her but she immediately cut me off saying they couldn't take me- mind you I drove 45 minutes for this appointment. I found it odd that she couldn't take my insurance even if I showed it to her and printed it. So I asked her if she could print it and then she's like yea you never asked if I could print it. Of course I didn't, you cut me off while I was trying to explain myself! I have united health care which is great insurance... Bottom line- the Doctor is great but the service is horrible the nurse in the front comes off as snobby and entitled. I would NOT recommend this dermatologist to anyone. Everyone should be treated with respect. read more

Just left the office and I must say I am very happy with my consultation! The nurse was very kind and talked to me about my condition, not rushed at all and explained everything so well even suggested what pharmacy to go to. The Dr also spent a lot of time with me usually when I go see a dr I feel rushed and usually don't get my point across. But I'm glad I came here he also explained everything well and why this was happening to me and what to expect as I start my medication. I am overall pleased white my consultation. read more

The front staff was rude to me from the beginning, not specifying what information I needed to fill out in the paper work. Receptionist said I needed to fill out the info for the primary insurance holder, so I had to call my dad for his social and drivers license because of course I didn't know that. Then when I turned it in she said "you only needed his date of birth like I told you" which was rude and off putting. When I was called by the nurse, she was very nice and Dr. Nguyen was also very nice and thorough; I was probably in the back for a total of 5 minutes because he diagnosed me right away. When I left, he gave me a slip of paper with the information for my prescription. I thought this was odd because usually the dr. office calls in the prescription to the pharmacy of my choice and I never leave with paper. So I asked the receptionist to call in my prescription and she said she couldn't until I explained my dad has previously had her call in his prescriptions. Finally she agreed and asked me what pharmacy I wanted, then said she didn't know kroger's pharmacy phone numbers. I was confused and irritated that I had to ask for a simple task most dr. offices do, and so I asked why should couldn't just look up the number (most offices I've been to have the numbers and addresses of surrounding pharmacies). She told me she "couldn't look it up because the computer would get a virus if I use google". This made no sense to me and it sounded like she just didn't want to look it up and thought it would be simpler to just make me do it since I am young. This annoyed me so I looked up the phone number, gave it to her, and left promptly. Overall, if you don't deal with the front staff the treatment and dr seems great. I am in college and that seemed to give the receptionist the excuse to be rude so hopefully that stops happening! read more

I love Dr. Nguyen and his wife, Michelle. I got referred by my mom and then after I went, I was so impressed that I got my husband to go too. They both are very personable and they take their time with you and explain things to you. We both drive 30-40 minutes just to go here, because they are better than any that we have been to that are closer by in Fort Worth! read more

I noticed this place had both negative and positive reviews but because it had more positives, I decided to give them a try. I called to set up an appointment and the first thing the receptionist asked was who was my insurance. Ok, you dont even care to get my name first? The first thing you want to know is how I will be paying? After taking my insurance information, she says she would call me back to set up an appointment. She calls me back over eight hours later to set up an appointment. You heard me right. Eight hours just to schedule an appointment. Very unproffesional! I will never give them my buisness!
