A year ago, after a decade of searching for answers, seeing dozens of doctors and therapists, enduring countless tests and therapies, and taking drugs and supplements too numerous to mention, we finally found Dr. Siegel. My son, who had received antibiotics for a number of infections as a child, starting having serious medical issues around the age of 10. Never a good sleeper, his insomnia became worse. His constant headaches turned into migraines. By 15, he was missing up to 40 days of school a year. During his sophomore year, he got a migraine for 3 months. He basically became a prisoner in his own room. We went to the most respected doctors looking for answers. He was prescribed a multitude of pain medicines and antidepressants. None of them helped. When his migraine finally passed, he was never able to return to school. His sleep schedule was completely out of phase and his concentration was severely affected. He was only able to earn his degree by attending online school. I felt that we had done more harm than good and finally gave up looking for help. My son was unwilling to try anything else and was effectively disabled. By chance, I came across an article about health issues that people can suffer if they have a variation in the MTHFR gene. I had him tested and discovered that he had an issue with the gene. I attempted once more to find a practitioner who understood genetics and the role they play in health. My search led me to Biohealth Wellness. We went to the office for a free introductory consultation. Much to my surprise, Dr. Siegel met with us for over an hour and patiently listened to the story of my son's long medical history. I knew right then that we had finally found the person who could help. Not only was he knowledgeable about genetics, but how the entire body works together as a system. He was able to diagnose what was actually wrong with my son and treat his conditions--not just the symptoms. Then my son participated in the brain therapy program. His cutting edge therapies finally helped my son regain his concentration. Dr. Siegel's knowledge of brain function is far beyond anything that we had previously experienced with four different neurologists. He is the most extraordinary, kind, and informative care giver we have ever come across. My son was able to start college this fall, something we never could have hoped for him. As I sit here a year later, I cannot imagine how I would have felt without having met Dr. Siegel. My son would still be disabled, unable to think, and would have had no prospect for a future. We are truly grateful to Dr. Siegel, Emily, and Keelie who have been amazing to us. read more
