It was definitely impacting my workout too. I finally decided to seek help with Athletico PT. I cannot believe I waited so long. My shoulder improved after just 2 weeks and is fully healed after six weeks. It is like having a new lease on life. The New Albany team (Sidney, Madison, and team) was knowledgeable, professional, and "firm" with my PT exercises and progress. The Taylor Station location closed and many of the Ortho One docs moved to this brand new building…read morelocated right off the 270N Hamilton Rd exit. On Crescent Station. I see Dr Popp upstairs for my hand. His office is there as well as one of the nicest hand PT clinics that I have been to. Ive been to OSU, OrthoNeuro and one near Polaris... this by far is the better that I have been to. Doctor Popp examined my hand. Gave me a cortisone shot in my thumbs knuckle/joint. Warned me it would hurt. It hurt but not as bad as I thought it would. Later that night my thumb started to feel much better. In two days it felt better than it had felt in two years. While at this appointment he sent me to the hand therapists. There I met Cheryl who made me a custom brace. Let me tell you. That was worth its price. I have been to OSU 2xs for this injury. Each time OSU fit me with the wrong brace. The brace OSU last gave me injured my thumb even more just putting it on. This new brace! Wow. My thumb doesn't hurt in it. It rests it in the appropriate position while the hard shell protects it from accidental bumps I highly recommend Dr Pott at Orthopedic One for thumb injuries.

I not only strengthened myself physically but gained confidence in getting back on the court. I was educated on the exercises and stretches to use in order to strengthen and stretch the muscles around my injury. I hope I never need come back but this will be my first choice if I do.

And she showed me some exercises that I think were useful in strengthening my core. The receptionists are relatively kind and the therapists seem really nice (although my therapist was usually late to start our appointments). After the first few visits, though, I didn't find it very useful. And my pain never went away. I should warn, I'm not a big believer in the utility of physical therapy so if you are, you should take my review with a grain of salt. I've had quite a few experiences with physical therapy and I feel like it is limited in how much improvement it can bring to your pain/relief. OSU health centers offers financial assistance for physical therapy, so that's exciting. Parking is easy and free. Finding this particular center from the garage is a pain, though.

Ohio Health--you've made a fan out of me…read more Great customer service (or in this case, patient care) isn't how you handle yourself when things go right; it's how you recover when they go wrong. In my case, things went very wrong, and Ohio Health handled the situation perfectly. I won't recount my original review (you can read the terrible experience below), but let's just say I did not receive the treatment I expected. I sent out one tweet about my experience, and Ohio Health was *on* it. Seriously, these people have their act together. Let me tell you what transpired next... 1. I received a public tweet within one hour to apologize and to find out more about the situation. Their social media person and I DM'd back and forth, and she scheduled a time for me to get a call the next day. 2. Deb Kuntz (the Director of Quality & Outcomes Management) called me to apologize and to find out more about my situation. Deb does her job flawlessly. She was gracious, humble, and caring. I could easily tell she was genuinely concerned for my health--and not just removing my bad Yelp review. She knew i really liked my PT, so she was determined to get me back to this particular office again. She promised she'd follow up with me the next day...and she did. 3. Deb actually called me every day or every other day until I was able to get re-scheduled for therapy. She was clear with every step of the process. She knew it would be uncomfortable for me to go back to the office if the offending employee was also there, so she jumped through hoops to help make me feel okay about returning. 4. Ed, the Office Manager (I think that's his title, and I forgot his last name), called me a few days later to apologize and to help me get re-scheduled. He was very kind and caring. 5. I finally showed back up for therapy, and of course it was awkward, but they really did everything possible to lessen the awkwardness. At the end of my appointment, Ed asked to chat with me for a minute--he wanted to make sure everything was okay. And now, I am back in therapy and well on my way to getting my feet back in action. I am extremely grateful that Ohio Health acted quickly to fix my issue. The way they handled themselves has definitely earned a fan in me!

Jesse is empathetic, establishes a set of objectives in the first session, getting to know the patient before any physical work is done. She is always available to answer questions, and is very intuitive in her practice. The holistic craniosacral therapy itself is done in her studio/office, with crystals and ambient music, the lights dimmed. She has a very gentle touch, and there is this ineffable connection during the session and in my experience working with her. I would recommend her therapy to anyone who is dealing tension, (post) injury, stress, chronic issues, anxiety, and depression. Connecting to craniosacral massage is like coming home to your body.
