I've been here a couple times for the Yumi Lash Lift and cannot say enough good things about Biolife! I'd been hearing a lot about lash lifts lately and a Yelp search led me here. I'm so glad it did! Because Eva is not only one of the nicest human beings, but she does an incredible job. Not fully knowing what to expect, I left my first appointment roughly an hour later and could not stop looking at my lashes in the mirror. It was like I was wearing mascara but it was all natural. The process itself was easy enough (just prepare to lay down with your eyes closed for an hour), and the end results were well well worth the time and cost. My second time around was so much easier because I knew what to expect, and the results were just as exciting as the first time. Love this place! Came back for a lash lift and I can saw that Ewa is a very hard-working, honest businesswoman who is committed to her integrity and making her clients feel happy and beautiful. She stopped at nothing to work with my schedule and make sure I was taken care of. The process is about an hour long and I love how wonderfully Ewa does my lashes! See before and after photos. I don't have great close-ups of the before, but know that my lashes are long but a bit blonde and straight. Her lash lift takes what I naturally have and really gives it that oomph! With mascara, you really can't even tell the difference between this and extensions! Plus, these are much less fussy, a lot more manageable, and natural! I will definitely be recommending Ewa and her services to anyone looking for lash extensions or a lift. First, like most of the other customers I left here in awe of how awesome my eyelashes looked. I got the Yumi lash lift (no tint) and the difference was outstanding. The process was pretty easy and I had no problem just resting while she worked on me for about 45 minutes. Fast forward 6 weeks and they're no longer pointed upward (not terrible longevity as it's expected to last 8-10 or 6-8 weeks depending on who you ask). The part that is a problem is that I believe my eyelashes were over processed and now point in all sort of wonky directions and crisscross one another. This was not the case prior to the treatment. Not good and the curler doesn't really help. If you compare prices around town, Biolife is far and away one of the most expensive for this service. I've seen $60-$75 as a standard from reputable places. Biolife is more than double that at $150 and uses the Yumi brand products. NOTE: lash lift and lash perm are the same thing. Yumi has proprietary products to do the same. Given how expensive it is, I'm disappointed to be worse off than when I went in. read more

It's a lengthy/somewhat uncomfortable hour long appointment, as someone who's mildly anxious--keeping your eyes shut for an hour and not knowing what's happening around you can be a little unnerving. I've gotten at least 10 lash lifts. This last time that I went and got a lash lift, it didn't work. When I called I explained that they weren't lifted and she started blaming me. This wasn't my first lift so I knew what my lashes should look like. She said the technician that did it has been there for a while. That means nothing to me because all I know is that I paid $150 for a lash lift and my lashes were not lifted. The lady on the phone blamed me for not calling right after! I found Biolife Spa after moving to Chicago from Orange County California. I tried several other places for eyelash extensions and just wasn't finding the skill and look I wanted. When I first came to Ewa it was after a failed application of lashes at another place. She carefully removed the lashes and started over. She did a fantastic job. I have been seeing her regularly (2-3 weeks) for 4 months and she had fine tuned the look I wanted! Perfect everytime! I get compliments all the time from random people! I have also had Ewa work on my eyebrows (I had them too thin) and over the months she has worked them into a great shape, and tints them as well, they look amazing. Lastly, she does amazing facials!
