On Friday 10/13/23 My Tablet was Stolen from the Bio Life Plasma Center in Joliet on Larkin Ave. It is a LG G Pad X2 8.0 Plus which had the Speaker Pack on it. It had a Large Crack Across the Screen towards the top that went from the Left to Center/Right side of it. I unfortunately put it down and got Distracted/Sidetracked. By the time I noticed it was no longer in my posession I had told the center staff but they were not very helpful to me in my time of need. I used the find my device app from my phone to sound the alarm & whoever had it kept Turing the sound off according to the app. Then they also must have turned the device off because it was no longer registering online with data and stopped showing me battery percentage. I did file a police report with Joliet police on Friday night but I don't know if that is gonna do much good. The plasma place did say that after reviewing the camera that they didn't see it? Which I have my doubts because I am pretty positive that I know every spot where I was & had set it down while waiting there. Please be more careful with your personal belongings and keep a eye on your stuff when out in public. If someone sees this and maybe saw it that night or knows its whereabouts I just want it returned to Biolife Plasa Center, No Questions Asked. Also any thoughts to make the Plasma Center look at there security cameras better? Maybe if I tell them everywhere I was in the building or where I think I may have left it? I am just in shock that someone would steal a 6 to 7 year old tablet that was in rough shape and had a cracked screen. The staff do not care if you live or die. After 2.5 hours, I was finally at the physical part of the process. I went into a room where two ladies proceeded to ask questions. They did not explain the process of what was about to happen. I just finished answering questions on a monitor and they had to go over them with me, there was zero communication about this. So when they started asking me questions about HIV and sexual activities and having me look at a screen which I couldn't see because of a glare, they said I have an attitude and asked me to leave. They said my confusion and distress was disrespectful. Well, I started to cry instead. I'm at a breaking point in life with my industry on strike and where I was willing to donate plasma, and this place just made me wait and feel like a terrible person. I spoke to a manager who did not care about my time wasted. She offered me a coupon to return another day, but I just wanted understanding and to continue. Just communicate with the public on what's happening. It's scary when people who take blood start asking about HIV but don't tell you why they are going over this with you. It's terrifying actually. Communication is so key and they don't know how to. Plus the smug look on the ladies face didn't help. What a waste of time and energy. The staff seem to really hate their job which makes sense why they were training. Everyone is so miserable in that building. They barely acknowledge my existence. Just cattle. read more

This location is very disappointing. Not staffed very well for the amount of appointments they take. Staff seems more interested in socializing with their colleagues than being attentive to the donors. I have visited this location several times and sadly it is getting worse. Bolingbrook is an awesome location with great staff that seem to be conscious of your time and get you moved out quickly. read more

I was refused because I'm gay and have had sexual relations with another man in the last 3 months. As a healthcare worker I'm embarrassed to see that any aspect of the health care industry is still like this. I understand that it's because of a preceded higher risk of HIV but that's simply untrue, all different types of people from all walks of like have HIV not just gay people. Not only this but plasma is thoroughly screened for many diseases like HIV and hepatitis. I am allowed to donate blood through Red Cross to help people but I can't donate plasma? I would like to formally make a complaint against employee Elizabeth. I am a frequent donor and on today I finished my donation and I was patiently waiting to be disconnected. In my section I finished first, then two other donors finished after me. Elizabeth skipped me, and went to disconnect another donor. Then she skipped me again, and went to disconnect another donor. I politely asked her, are you skipping me? Then I asked, can you tell who finished first? She responded no, and then went to say that I'm always rude to her when I come in, which is not true at all. Her response confirmed that she was purposely skipping me because she felt like I've been rude to her in the past. She has drawn me in the past a few times and has messed up my arm, and missed my vein every time. I complained that she needs more training, and I even told her in a constructive way, that she is "nose diving" her needle and that her angle is completely off. I've never been rude or disrespectful to her. One time I asked her to double wrap me, and she had no clue what I was referring to. So I ended up bleeding all over the place on my way out because she refused to listen. So on today she was very unprofessional by arguing with me back and forth, talking bad about me that I'm a frequent donor and that I need a job that's why I am there so often. This is unacceptable behavior to me and donors should not have to tolerate this from anyone. I am nice to everyone there. If she is unhappy with her job, she needs to find another one or just improve her skills and get better! read more

Well it's good if you don't have to wait in line for 2 1/2 hours To get checked in .i need to request a certain person because they can never find my vein . Otherwise my vein gets blown out and I have to wait longer to go back and donate . Yes we always have great greetings from staff when I'm there. facility is nice and clean . I wonder sometimes the machines not work right cause some other donors have to cut their time short get disconnected from machine and leave. i like this facility cause it's closest to me and I would recommend it to anyone that would like to donate plasma . as you are there the workers get to know you by name and when they see you they greet you they call u by name which is nice. I just wish the company would raise our promotions up back to where I started with money amount so it will be better worth driving there. I have a 25 to 30 minute drive there . I would rate this company 5 stars read more
