I am beyond disappointed with my experiences at this plasma donation center. At this point, I believe the Sacramento locations need serious oversight because the level of professionalism, cleanliness, and organization is unacceptable. The facility often feels dirty and unsanitary, and the overall environment is chaotic. There doesn't seem to be any clear structure, and many of the staff members appear unsure of what they're doing. Instead of creating a safe and welcoming experience, it often feels disorganized, with employees rushing people around and very little attention being given to the donors. What concerns me the most is the lack of care and compassion. As donors, we're giving our time and plasma to help save lives, yet it doesn't feel like we're treated with the respect or attention we deserve. Too many staff members seem disengaged and unconcerned about donor comfort or safety. Management is another major issue. Strong leadership should ensure the facility is clean, organized, and properly staffed, but that has not been my experience. The customer service, professionalism, and overall operations need significant improvement. Unfortunately, this has been one of the worst experiences I've had at a plasma donation center. Although although the care and the process of getting through to actually donate overall I have no complaints but my complaint is with the payment I was gone for a few months, when I returned the payments were $140 every week and gradually it keeps going down every week next week was 135 week after that with 125 this week it's 110 I don't understand why it keeps going down it would seem that if they wanted to keep me there as a client that they would not lower my pay they're giving me no incentive to want to stay there and I have asked about this I have approached the management about this and they say they have to give me what's the market value for the area which I don't believe because they have a new customer comes in they get $800 if they donate in a month why is it that I'm only getting 470 a month. PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE! Like another review said, there are other BioLife places around. This is the most unprofessional medical office I have ever been in. My 18 year old son passed out at his last visit. I could never get through by phone so I made an appt. Unfortunately I was 10 min late & they wouldn't take me or reschedule me for later so I inquired about what happened to my son. I was ignored once & when I was asked to get out of a chair by another employee, I asked her again. The woman (who seemed to be training the 1st girl I interacted with as they were going over scenarios in between clients) was polite in the way you talk down to someone. Trying to make me feel as though I don't know anything but she knows everything and I should take her word for it. Didn't even tell me her name or who she was in the clinic. Then she wouldn't let me talk to my son as he was checking in. That's why I'm here in the first place! When I come to assist him, they won't let me. It is their job to ensure the clients understand everything before and after they leave which they clearly did not do with my son. He wasn't even sure what event led him to pass out before he left the first time. And I explained this to her previously. I moved when she asked me to move & didn't cause any disturbance but she was nothing but politely rude in return. No empathy. No concern for my son's well being. Kinda insinuate he was stupid or lying. No one here seems to really care about these client. Just going their job. If that is who you trust with a medical procedure, then be my guest. But if you expect better, stay away from this place. You'll save time in the long run driving a little further to get better care & customer service. read more

This place is a huge waste of time. I went there 4 different times over a month to get through the paperwork process of registration and each time they made up new "rules" on the spot why my paperwork wasn't sufficient. First my social security card had a small rip, so they couldnt take that, and they refused to look it up even though they could to verify. I came back with new social security verification through a w2.... now they say my proof of address isnt recent enough so now i come back with newer proof of address, but now they say that address isn't sufficient in their system because its a mailing address. so lastly I came back with updated paperwork to my present living address, and they say the document isn't acceptable even though its a bank print out statement and they accepted that document the previous time i showed them with the other address oh and they once said they couldnt accept an out of state id but then changed their mind. they make up rules as they go to exclude and discriminate against you and im fucking pissed that i wasted time and money all month jumping through their hoops.... all for them to profit literally off of your blood. and one last thing, they force you to use a fingerprint database and work directly with law enforcement to hunt you down and find you if theres ever a legal issue. fuck this place! theyre just farming and exploiting people for their blood. read more

The plasma donation process can be frustrating and time consuming, but it does pay pretty well for not a lot of effort (mostly just waiting around.) My experience with staff has been nothing but pleasant and the manager I met after my first donation was very professional and friendly. I have come in 5 times now and haven't had any real issues besides having to wait to sit in a bed when there is a crowd. Appointments are easy to make through the app and transfer of cash from the debit card to my bank account is quick ($1.95 fee per transfer applies.) My physical took 3.5hrs and was alot of shuffling around. You only have to do this once a year. Each complete donation has been anywhere from 45mins to 1.5hrs for me. This depends on the individual and how many people are there waiting to donate before you. Hydration really helps with the donation process so make sure to drink a lot of water and have a protein heavy meal. Crowd here can be a bit sketchy, but mostly just regular folks wanting to make some extra cash. Would recommend to anyone needing some cash and who has patience. read more

I went in today and as I was waiting in line I asked for a water from an older woman she told me in order to get water I had to get out of line and go all the way back to the front desk.... She had waters right by her and she was just standing there not doing anything at all so even if I couldn't have one of those waters she wasn't even doing anything to where she couldn't go and grab me one. Plus any time I call they never answer their phones. There are other biolife places definitely save your time and go somewhere else. I forgot to mention they let me donate even though I am dehydrated which I also thought was weird and then when I asked for water none was provided. read more

I was referred by friend that goes to the Roseville location to check out BioLife. Instead of going all of the way up to Roseville, I scheduled an appointment at this location. I went in with all of my documents that they had told me to bring. I was 15 mins early and when I walked up to the counter, no one was there. I waited for a few minutes until a woman named Ariyan finally came up and greeted me. I had a utility bill that was still sealed and she made me open it up in front of her to verify it (weird). Then I gave her the rest of my documents. She asked what I ate and I told her I had a protein bar and some snacks and she said that wasn't enough food. So I asked how much food was enough and she said 20g Protein/30g of Carbs. I told her there was that much in the protein bar alone. She still said I needed to have a real meal. I was early so I said I would go grab some food next door and come back. She said that wasn't an option and I needed to reschedule. That doesn't make any sense because I could still be back by my appointment. She continued to argue with me and finally I said "it seems like you really want me to reschedule so go ahead." I walked out and immediately checked the Roseville location for openings. They had some availabilities and I made the drive to Roseville. They were so much nicer, more accommodating, and seem to know what they're doing. I should've gone straight to the Roseville location first. read more

So I don't usually do these, but I just wanted to warn you to be careful. So first heres some context. I had some problems with my vitals for a couple of weeks straight and couldnt donate. I waited a few weeks and came back and after that I did several successful donations and made a little bit of money in my pocket. Unfortunately, One night I showed up after work, I stood in line for an entire hour and noticed there were a few empty beds. One of the people came up to me and told me I could sit in one of the sections, but the phlebotomist that was there declined and said that there were no open beds. The first person said that I should go sit down and pointed at a spot in the corner. I laid in the bed, and the phlebotomist that took care of me that night was pretty cool, he poked me just fine but then all of a sudden the machine made a weird noise. He came over and told me that the machine was having technical difficulties, and that I was the 5th person that this happened to, which then made sense to me why the other phlebotomist said there weren't any beds available. I was confused as to why I was told to sit there then. He informed me, that I had accumulated a blood loss and that I just needed to sit there for about fifteen minutes to ensure I was ok to leave. The nurse gave me a water bottle with a packet to add for electrolytes and some crackers. I did everything they said to do and even though I was a bit concerned about the blood loss, they told me that just one blood loss wasn't too bad and that I would be okay. I came back the following week and again they were packed, I was sat with a phlebotomist I never worked with before. This made me nervous but I told myself to trust them,I was wrong. The phlebotomist poked me and only poked the surface of my skin, so there was no blood flow. She told me she needed to adjust it and proceeded to fish around with the big needle in my arm poking my vein several times and it was very painful, I told her that I was in pain and she called another phlebotomist over to adjust it more, this one did exactly the same as she did. I was so sick of it, and they found a vein supposedly so I just told them I was ok. After ten minutes I decided I couldn't handle the pain anymore and called over the phlebotomist who had helped me the first night with the bad machine. He also adjusted it, and as he did so I was also gushing blood from my arm which I had never seen before at this place. He soon found a vein, and after twenty minutes of that, the machine made a weird noise and they told me I had no blood flow. He then told me he would need to poke me in the other arm. The blood flow in that arm was not good either, so he told me he was going to try to return my blood since I just had a blood loss and also Administer some saline and we would be done. I left and both my arms hurt. I came back about a week later after my arms healed, I figured that this time would be better. I waited in line for forty five minutes and was finally given a bed with one of those phlebotomists that had just poked me wrong the other night, and I noticed that one of the sections was closed down and there weren't very many people working so I didn't wanna be rude and I just let her do it. Unfortunately she poked me wrong again. They had to keep coming back to the machine because it kept turning off because of low blood flow, They tried to stick my other arm again and that did not work. They informed me that they could not return my blood because of "it being plugged up" so I had another blood loss within less than two weeks. I asked why they couldn't just poke my other arm again to give me my blood back, because I was concerned for my health and they said it was against their rules. I felt weak and for some reason. I could not hear them talking to me very well. The nurse brought me another water bottle with a packet and some crackers and took my blood pressure three times to ensure that I was ok. I did still end up getting paid, and I am feeling better now. However I do think this is a health risk. Whoever is going here needs to be very careful. I would recommend only going once every two weeks or so. I would recommend drinking lots of water and taking a vitamin c supplement before your donation. I also recommend that you request a manager pokes you, because they are the ones who have been there the longest and they know what they are doing. The people here are nice. I am not discrediting them. I do believe a few of them do not know what they are doing, in this field. A person donating plasma should never experience horrible pain with people poking around in their arm searching for a vein that is clearly in their face. The phlebotomists who helped me previous to these past 2 weeks were great, and I feel like they were qualified for this job, its just those others that need more practice in my opinion. Why is it that on the second donation of the week you are denied? It happens way too often to be a coincidence. The second donation per week pays double. Is that why? They occasionally do what they call an SBE test so they have another excuse not to pay you. The staff is great! They couldn't be nicer or more professional. I just don't understand the reasoning behind all the deferrals. My doctor doesn't understand either as I had her order blood work to find out what is wrong with my blood. The lady at the front asked what I ate before coming here? I said a 24oz protein shake & 2 hard boiled eggs. She then tells me ohh that's not enough food. I explain I been eating like this for months & I'm fine, I can't eat a whole meal. She then tells me you need to eat a "real meal" and when I asked what is considered a real meal, she didn't even know. So for the 2nd time I've wasted my time & gas coming here. I went in for my first appointment ever and they told me I already donated twice just the week previous, which was false cause this was the first time in over a week I left my house. So somebody is running around with my name, birthday and social donating plasma for money. I have a very common first and last name, that I would understand, but my birthday and social is being used by someone who attends their facilities. And I want to know who. This place is rather have staff that's very unprofessional,this week I done my plasma and it was a Chinese lady and man that works their,they left a niddle in my arm for 25 min before I got upset on this day and told the workers to take the niddle out and that it was hurting me,the Chinese lady started laughing by with one of my her other co be workers in results of this happening,vein was swollen and I went to the hospital where doctor told me they were supposed to take out the niddle after the plasma was done. I donate blood all the time I understand. Plasma is a little bit different but they have not been able to successfully get a donation. This time I was stabbed in both arms and she said the needle didn't go through the tube to collect the blood so because she had to take the needle out to re-put in a new tube I wasn't able to give my donation because she couldn't stab me more than twice and she messed up two times so I wasted 45 minutes of my day and didn't get to successfully donate because of an error on their side At this point it's a waste of time read more

I've been to plenty of different BioLife facilities and with just my luck this Sacramento location is the closest if not, the only one near Fairfield/Vallejo. More workers should be up front taking vital signs or a designated person who handles new clients. I had my appointment at 01:05pm and did not get vitals taken until 3pm and did not leave the facility till 5pm and 30 of those minutes, I spent waiting for someone to take out my IV catheter only to be told sarcastically, "yeah you'll get yours out eventually" ..meanwhile i'm watching the 4 people who came AFTER ME leave. Lady even hit a valve in one arm, tried to adjust and then a near miss on my other arm that also had to be readjusted twice and blamed it on my arm being bent. Like I haven't donate for 3 years. As a healthcare worker myself, some of the staffing needs to practice their mannerism. It was my first time here and it will be my last. read more

STAY AWAY, just look at their rating... Why not an option for 0 stars... This place is a joke. You make an appointment but that doesn't matter, you'll still wait over 45 minutes to even get you vitals checked, EVERYTIME. All staff are SHOCKINGLY rude, they will treat you like you are the scum of the earth because you are donating plasma, they should either all be fired or take like a month long course in politeness... And NO one on their staff knows how to stick a vein, went to octapharma for years and NEVER had any issues, here they have stuck both my arms two different times, dug the needle around, and couldn't hit a vein, which left both of my arms with horrible bruises, my advice: go to octapharma, their bonuses may not be as good but their pay structure after the bonuses is WAY better, oh and the staff are nice and know how to find a vein and won't F*CK your arm all up. The best was when the guy Ryan told me "oh u have easy veins to find and stick" proceeded to mess up both arms and not find a vein, and then say to me "well it's not my fault your arms suck"... People wonder why I keep going back but it's the workers. They really do care ... I have seen their workers grow within their company like Kevin and Anthony... They care about your health, if there's any issues or problems I can always count on their staff to help me. There are nurses who are always right there to assist . Their staff is well trained like Frankie, Gary, Oscar, and Denise I don't even feel when I get poked with a needle! So I earn money and help others with my plasma sometimes pain-free! BioLife has an app that I'm able to schedule appointments and keep track of my money at a clicking button! I love this location! read more

I started in December the first time I went it got clogged so they switched arms and it was good well probably a week later I had a big bruise on my right elbow (not really near where the neddle goes) i didn't even know it was there the lady saw it but said it was fine well the next time I come they won't let me donate and the nurse said it had to be gone all the way.Well it went away and I was donating again January 13th is when the 750 deal expired which is fine but I had 100 dollars left to get which was my last payment I asked them and she nope I'm out that 100 I don't think that is right if you can't donate because of something they did or because of thier rules then they should extend the date its not like I just didn't come I actually came 3 times hoping they would let me donate..But other then that it has been a real good experience and I'm happy to do it and hope someone gets help because of it. read more

I believe this location pays more than others but only barely a 10 dollar difference. GO TO THE OTHER LOCATIONS OR CSL PLASMA IN CITRUS HEIGHTS. FLORIN RD WORKERS ARE SO RUDE. They will Not treat you like an equal person but as an annoying task they are forced to do even though the main aspect of the job is to monitor and interact with the donors.
