What makes this especially frustrating is watching new donors repeatedly being moved ahead of people who have already been waiting, while returning donors are left sitting. When I asked about the delay, I was told they were short-staffed. I understand staffing issues happen, but that explanation was difficult to accept when I could visibly see employees sitting around talking and an entire section of the facility was not being utilized. If you are going to have donors waiting this long, there should at least be clear communication, efficient staffing, and a fair system for processing people who arrived before others. This isn't just about being impatient. Plasma donation involves people giving their time and undergoing a medical screening/procedure. Donors deserve to be treated with respect and professionalism. Management needs to seriously investigate what is happening at this location, including staffing, wait times, and how returning donors are being prioritized. If this is how the facility is routinely being operated, corporate needs to step in and address it. I would strongly encourage management to review the cameras, staffing levels, donor wait times, and employee conduct during operating hours. This experience was unacceptable.

Atreanlined process for filling out the questionnaire before you arrive to streamline the process. They possess little screens for you to set up and watch a movie or show from their vast library, although most bring their own devices and stream what they want Afterwards, theres a nice lounge area to rest and have some snacks along with juice, coffee or water. Just doing tour part to help the human cause, and the staff at every level makes it their goal to make your visit comfortable and as streas or pain free as possible (woth the exception of the finger stick, that has and will always be the most painful part)

I called the local fire department and was referred over to Red Cross as the have a smoke detector program which offers free smoke detectors as well as installation. My being 70 years young this filled my heart with gratitude to know my daughter will be safe in her home. as a side note: the day after I called to ask about these a house down the street burned. No smoke detectors present. please be safe and make sure you have these in your home and if not call the wonderful people of the Yolo, Woodland Red Cross. they are an outstanding service.

Usually I stick to Bloodmobiles or Blood Drives but decided to make an appointment at this location due to proximity/convenience to work. Very easy to log in and schedule, fast track questionnaire on the day of in advance. Email reminders too. Lots of parking, A-frame and other signs indicating there was a blood drive that day. Checked in at the entrance with a lady, then sat down with a nurse to go over the questionnaire and do the finger stick to measure hemoglobin levels, take a donor photo too for your profile. It had been awhile since I donated, and for some reason I had decided to wear a shirt that day that didn't easily roll up and was a bit tight on the arms, no bueno. Nurse Kristen (sp?) offered for me to change out into one of their free T-shirts, I got to choose between a dark gray "Be Remarkable" Vitalant branded design or a light blue "Give Blood, Save The Day" vintage BloodSource design. I went with the blue, changed in their bathroom. Once which arm was preferred, sat in the cot-style chair. I had drank water, but more would have been nice. Coffee was also probably not the best choice either. Anyway, the donation process itself went pretty quickly and you are to stay in the refreshments area at least 15 minutes to eat and drink (chips, pretzels, cookies, water, Gatorade). Donors provided with a paper with contact information. I also received an e-mail to claim either a $5 Amazon e-gift card or rewards points. Eligible to donate again in 8 weeks. Not a bad experience at this location!

Leilani, the nurse who conducted my physical, was very professional and was very descriptive in every step of the process. I had little to no questions during my time there because of her all the way up to finishing my donation. I will 100% continue donating plasma in this location in the future for as long as I'm eligible and available! :)

Made an appointment the night before and there were plenty of available slots. My appointment was…read morefor "Lane 2" which makes zero sense. I showed up at 10 am for a 10:15 appt. There's just 1 lane of cars, about 4 ahead of me. Then suddenly a car pulls up to the side of us all and creates this second lane. Instead of sending him to the back of the line, they test him. Hello? What about all of us waiting, with appointments??? They finally moved cars to this "Lane 2" because the line was pretty long now. A few girls walking around at a snails pace with papers. But I'm at the front of the line, in this lane 2. The girl goes to the cars behind me. Then in Lane 1, they tested 2 cars that were behind me when I was initially in that line before anyone ever came to my car. There was zero rhyme or reason as to how they helped people and seemed oblivious to any sort of order of cars. When I told her what happened at another place where I never got my results she said "because they're bullshit" which was pretty unprofessional. And she wasn't going to stick the q-tip "hella far up" my nose. What?? Now lets hope and pray I get my results this time.

StemExpress was a lifesaver for me - I had my 24 hour test at 8:05 am on Friday and got the results Friday night (faster than promised). Everybody that I dealt with on the phone (Toni and Tuesday) and during the Test Procedure (Devin and Maryela) were friendly, helpful, and professional. I think getting tested in the car might be more comfortable than some other options because you can brace against your headrest. Note: The date and time of the sample are now on the test results.
