I have been donating plasma since 2020 in Sarasota It was KED plasma when I started. They were great. Got to spin for prizes on your second donation of the week and the amount reimbursed went up over time. Several months ago they were taken over by grifoils and it's gone down hill ever since this happened and they have reduced the reimbursement from $150 weekly with 2 donations in one week. It went down to $135 weekly and now again to $90 weekly. There must be some type of mismanagement going on They are almost ALWAYS short staffed I have been here when there only one phlebotomist for an entire room full of patients. The people who do the intake and phlebotomists are but I really great but i get the impression they are not treated well. The management seems seem to interested in laughing and joking amongst themselves rather then see what they can do to help their overworked staff. I used to tell everyone what a great place it was and recommended it to MULTIPLE people. One coworker actually did start right when grifoils took over. I feel really bad that I did now especially how I raved about how great it was. I won't recommend it to anyone else because it's hardly worth it anymore. So dissatisfied and disappointed with this new company. If you are thinking about donating I wouldn't bother. They don't appreciate their staff and and CERTAINLY not their donors. Attempted to donate @ Biomat. Took 3 busses coming from St. Pete. The website says "walkins welcome." When I got there I was informed that they no longer take walkins. Incredibly bad business. The girl said she would report it to management, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Just know that no matter what their website says they don't take walkins. Kind of glad they didn't allow me to donate after reading their reviews. Sounds like a horrible place!! read more

When I first went they were really good about sticking me and now they got some new employees OR the employees they've had magically forgot how to do their job. They stuck me 4 time and put the needle half way up my arm. read more

Went for first time today was told my blood pressure was to high twice. Never have had high blood pressure and just went to doctor last week plus have donated at other plasma center never high. I came home and took it myself and it was normal. Think something wrong with their system. Was really upset. Especially after taking again at home and nothing wrong. Also nurse told me that people's blood pressure there is always high. read more

I went to the Clearwater location about 3 years ago a few days before Thanksgiving in 2019 or 2020. I was told that they weren't taking anymore donors. Wish I knew wasn't true. The guy that said that didn't want to work because he said " I am doing something right now" No new donors today. I never went back. I like BioLife and CLS Plasma and OctaPharma. read more

I have no frame of reference, as this was the only time I've donated plasma, but the staff was friendly and I received a gift card for the amount promised plus $10 for "inconvenience fee". I got there at about 8:30am and was done at 3:30pm. Be prepared to wait and wait and wait some more! I'd suggest eating before you go and bringing a book. There's a good Italian deli next door, if you need a bite while you wait. If you have a day to spare and want to get some extra cash- give it a whirl! read more

I had high hopes for BayCare - Those high hopes vanished after only 4 months. The reps who answer the phones are NOT technicians and can only leave messages for a technician. The technicians are NEVER available and they only offer 'call backs' supposedly promised within 24 hours. This may or may not actually happen. If your new equipment breaks down or is faulty you're totally on your own. Congratulations Bay Care you guys are just as irresponsible as Lincare. read more

Haven't been here in a month. Giving them a chance to get there self together, to open on time & have employees since some of them quit since the takeover by grifols. Supposed to open at 7am today but they aren't. 2 people who were waiting when I arrived at 645 have already left, saying this place sucks(my better language than what they used). I have 2 stars because of the few people that work there that actually try. otherwise it's the worst display of work ethic I've ever encountered... today I called for over an hour before someone answered. it's just sad how little these people try. read more

The staff were amazing but needs a little organizing , yes they are a very busy location and staff friendlyness made up for the long wait (330p-715p) Then because I was there forever and didnt eat sense noon and me being a first time donor they didnt set the machine right I passed out and vomited after I was close to being finished and I didnt get paid. Wait time is terrible even for returning customers ALWAYS not enough staff in the 1st part after the questioner 4 windows and only 2 windows or 1 open and people who are there are always turning off the light making the process longer .when you get to back are the head 2 Employees female and a male in the back in charge are always against each other trying to find fault in each other.you can feel the stress in the air. Everyone looks do miserable most of the times.They are not to experience in situations that don't go smooth. I had one tech push the needle down so hard my arm was bruise so bad they defer me out a week .and then she was moving needle around "very uncomfortable" need more Employees trained to make this a GREAT Experience for the customers so we can return. I'm writing this review while I'm here the manager tells all the employees if they knock this out in a hour she will buy lunch for all .omgosh everyone is working fast and as a team .its like there is life here. If I could give it ZERO stars, I would. Absolutely horrific. Majorly understaffed, very dirty and grungy looking. What staff was there, as far as I'm concerned are not properly trained. I donated in Wisconsin for 6 months, maybe I am spoiled. The only reason I went 5 times, was the $50 per visit pay. 2 of the 5 times, the Phlebotomist missed, and had to have someone come over and fix it. 2 huge bruises. Your normal pay scale is ridiculously low. The waiting time is the worst. I will never go back. read more

They have a very nice group of staff, however, some of them pick & choose donors to enforce the rules upon. There are signs all over about no phones at kiosk, one person at kiosk, no talking on the phone or listening to music while being screened, no going outside after being screened. This is allowed for some, not for others with SOME staff. The donors and guests are more of an issue as far as I'm concerned. I go to express every time due to medications I take. No one knows why I need to go there, nor is it their business. But every time I get scoffs, rolled eyes and comments. People need to mind their own business as to what I am doing and worry about themselves. Then they allow guests to "hang out" waiting on donors, that have no idea what respect is. And why are they there taking up chairs anyway? I had an ignorant woman that tried to start an argument with me that had never seen me before. I informed staff that this was the second time I've dealt with it and I was considering not coming back. They said they would miss me, but said nothing to the trash that was there taking up a chair and hanging out starting problems. I don't believe guests should use the front lobby to wait for people. There aren't enough chairs as it is, and especially if they can't keep their mouth shut and just wait for their friend/family in silence. I do have a full time job but enjoy the play money I receive by donating so I am checking into another facility to donate. But rather than staff confronting an issue with people that shouldn't be there, then I will simply be missed. read more
