Biggest reason I used to come here is that they opened at 5 a.m., it allowed me to donate and do my work after. Ive donated in the past at different centers, This location was unpleasant to say the least. Besides the fully packed waiting rooms,the average slow wait times, the extremely slow machines, and taking more plasma than what they pay you for, the biggest issue would be the lack of hospitality training from the younger phlebotomis. They are in desperate need of it. We can all hear you complaining about your work and its unprofessional in front of donors.Before my appointment on a sunday, I received an email and notification through the app stating they were closed, with no opening date. It seemed they were open again, just failed to tell people about it. I lost my current tier level, weekly streak, seasonal promo and my bonus structure was affected.UPDATE: Unfortunately, not one person reached out to help my situation. I reached out in everyway. Its one thing for the staff to treat donors like second class citizens, I did not expect that mentality from management. I would consider Biolife or Octapharma before Grifols, hands down. read more

If you need the money, go ahead but they have phlebotomist who are new and 2/4 times I've came they have bruised my arm from sticking the vein too far up. I still got my payment even though they removed it once someone more experienced realized but it disqualifies you from getting your second payment because you can't donate bruised. However staff is really nice and helpful and I was offered a Gatorade and snack and was monitored after. Office Experience, some Asian woman who goes by Betty likes to turn Donors away on Sundays, I'm sure the company shareholders won't be too happy about losing money because of her. People drive and spend gas money to travel to this location all to get turned away for arriving at their appointments a couple minutes late. She stands by the front desk hiding the scanner which donors need in order to check in with our QR code and she just constantly harassing multiple Donors. This is not ok. Not only is she wasting Donors time but also turning donors away who have an appointment is not beneficial to the companies overall business. read more

Horrible customer service. The woman we spoke to was very rude and impatient. She was very short tempered when we asked her questions regarding the process of donating blood. I wouldn't recommend this location for the simple fact that the employee working doesn't seem to have much compassion so I couldn't imagine allowing her to draw our blood. People here are nice ! Just have to remind them to help you because they tend to forget sometimes which is understandable bc they're so busy. Deffo recommend asking for an experienced person because I got pricked 4 times by a newbie and wouldn't have been so bad if the needle wasn't so thick. This place seems ok for the most part. It seems that compensation is an issue. I got an email saying they increased compensation, so I went to the hub and it was the very same as before. I guess that might work on some people.... the idea of telling then it's increase makes them believe it. Then I was sent an offer for a bonus. I fell for that once. I went through all the hoops and left without the bonus. I had to drive back down to get it because no one picks up the phone. The bonus isn't worth it to have to chase it down. read more

Got to the area where they prick my finger only to be told that they have to talk with me. I was brought in a private room only to tell me that I can't donate. I had seen some poor reviews for this place before coming in, and thought nothing of them since I know people like to complain, but after coming in, I can understand why. I get to my appointment at 5pm and check in, to which I proceed to sit for an hour as they let many people (who came in after me) do the routine check up before me. This was annoying me, but I tried to be understanding as I get that many of those people were probably returning donors and being a new donor, the process does take a little longer. WHY I'm leaving a two star review is because once they finally call me back to do my new donor check up, they look at my veins and tell me they are too small and that I can't donate. That's it. I had been sitting for over an hour waiting, and it took them two minutes to tell me I can't donate. Why is that not the first thing you do when checking new donors in. It takes about three minutes to initially check us in anyways, why not take an extra minute to check something that is obviously very important to the donating process. It would save them and new donors a lot of time and energy. There are other smaller things that annoyed me, including the fact that what I assume to be the main phlebotomist telling me to "pump some iron" after not letting me donate because my veins are too thin. First time customer. Front end customer service is horrid. I waited almost 10 minutes until someone bothered to check me in. They treat you like you shouldn't be there, no one wanted to help. They're either short staffed or underpaid. Then when they take your info they give you a dirty book everyone has touched and used with their disgusting fingers that you have to read, then they make you watch a video on your phone with a QR, then you fill out a questionnaire with your phone of about 60 questions with a QR again. Then there's a quick physical and finally a blood screening. Idk what the point of so many redundancies is but hopefully the second time around is a better experience. Btw the people taking your plasma at the back end are awesome, very friendly. New customers get paid extra to make them come back. Edit: second time around was just as bad, this time they had me waiting in the back for half an hour, possibly as retaliation for my 2-star review, no it's been updated to 1 star :) read more

The first few months I came here it was great. If you had an appointment you were seen right away. The last few weeks, you need to be there by your appointment time to be put in queue. Then the least amount of time I've waited for intake... WITH AN APPOJNTMENT is 51minutes. If your dehydrated or vitals are off you r just wasted a lot of time!! Then you wait another 15-30 till there is a phlebotomist. I've not made it twice a week in a bit over a month. It's just not worth it. I figure if it's that bad at the beginning of the week, it's got to be terrible toward the weekend. Efficiency is not the name of the game here! read more

Intially went yesterday for my first time, it was a pretty long wait, but I was prepared for it after reading up on others experiences. The location was very clean and I felt comfortable. Everything was being cleaned constantly, temps were being taken, hand sanitizer was given, etc. The overall process was okay up until I had to get my veins checked.. the phlebotomist that was doing it didn't have the nicest of attitudes which made me being rejected feel worse. I'd donated blood before and even told them the arm that was best from previous experiences - he didn't want to hear it. Luckily, I didn't let it deter me and I called the location while in the car and asked if it was possible if I could come try again and was politely told yes. The woman on the phone was super sweet! Fast forward to today, the ENTIRE staff working while I was there were so amazing and made me feel really welcomed. I mentioned I had come yesterday and I was offered to have my veins checked first so I wouldn't be waiting around. There was a different phlebotomist there and she was the SWEETEST woman ever. So patient and encouraging - her name was Bianca. Side note: she was able to find a vein on the arm i was trying to tell the other one about and the blood flow was perfect ) Thanks to her and the rest of the woman I came into contact today, my experience turned around completely and I can't wait to go back again for my 2nd donation! Had a great experience here this morning, felt like they definitely deserve these flowers! I was due for my annual physical, I wanted to book my appt as early as possible (6:30am) I was worried that I wouldn't be seen for at least an hour or so because it was so early but I was seen right away! The nurse was very attentive & all staff members were helping each other out, it was not crowded like it typically is at this time, the overall timeframe it took for the screening & plasma was about 2 hours, felt like I got lucky today! this place Customer service has declined , staff seem like not enough, they never answer front office phone calls, blood samples take up to 2 weeks to clear up , manager is passive aggressive she doesn't know how to communicate without yelling and she is very short temper , atmosphere overall feels unprofessional only positive thing I'm gonna say truly about this place. They try to keep it clean and organize but behind that is kind of disappointing I remember when a very professional handsome gentleman was a manager this place wasn't like this. conclusion I had a bad experience with the lost and found , I had left my prescriptionglasses at the booth later call they said they had them at the lost and found ,manager call me to to pick them up , when I pick them up I was told they lost them and it was my fault they lost them from inside their office ???? and manager got upset because I stated how was that my problem? because then who stole them ? horrible experience i got scorn for wanting to donate and for leaving my glasses behind at the boot, she definitely took a personal for no reason I just wanted my glasses back. How can something inside a drawer disappear and then blame me ? I'm still waiting for a phone call back. I hope they found them because I can't afford new glasses and this is my real review place? What a waste of time they will see everyone who comes in who is a return donor but I hope you plan to sit around this place for four hours if your a new donor. My appointment was at 9 I arrived at 845 they said they'd be right with me. Fast forward it's 1040 and the nurse at the front says ohh yeah it's going to still be a long time I can't tell you how long. There's other people here who have an appointment before you. Not true. This place used to help me out when I was short on rent or groceries, however I drive from Koreatown plus the 3 hours that you spend here I literally waste my whole day and on the days where they don't get your vein the pay you like $20 which is barely enough for gas. Kind of homophobic. Invasive questions like they are trying to find a reason to disqualify you after waiting 3 hours with an appointment.

EDIT: Just found out that as of October 1, 2022, they reduced the payout again. $50 for the first donation of the week and then $80 ($50+$30 bonus). So now it's down to $520. I feel horrible for the people that are dependent on this money! And they took away the Buddy Bonus referral program! I'm sure when people stop coming, they will increase the pay again! STOP! These people are robbing us blind! They used to pay out about $700 plus on the average, then it went down to $600 a month, now they deducted $10 a week bringing it down to $560 a month. When is it going to stop? There are no more bonuses (they consider the second donation a bonus), now you get $50 for the first donation of the week and then $90 ($50+$40) for the second donation of the week, when it used to be $100. SMH! I wish I could donate my plasma directly and make what it's worth, because you know Grifols is making hand over fist for your plasma and payments are decreasing in front of your very eyes. There are some very good phlebotomist, and some that think their ish don't stink. Why do some of these people have to be rude? Grumpy-asses! Without donors you don't have a job! You try to be nice and talk to these people, and some of them are short with you. If you don't want to talk and deal with the public you probably need to find another job! read more

Always have a nice and friendly staff. All staff are willing to answer any questions I typically have about the donation process, preparation and payments. Great that they have wifi available and also a number of TVs in the waiting area and also in the donation area as it provides entertainment if you don't have a phone or iPad available of your own to use. The bonuses are also a great way to provide even more incentives for donations as the donation already itself can potentially be such a positive impact for those people in need. They are also beginning a loyalty program for June for extra bonuses by doing things such as providing a Facebook "like" Yelp & google reviews, donorhub app registration Buddy referrals as well as points per donation. Whether you are a new or returning donor there are plenty of bonuses for your donations if you are able to do so consistently. read more
