But if you're like me, and like to update your old-school gaming collection, then Game City is your store. I was looking for copies of Goldeneye 64 and Banjo-Kazooie, and they had both. I mean, yeah, both were about $50 each (which is crazy considering games of today are $60-$70), but these games are REALLY hard to find and I've seen them go for even more. Okay, they did have an N64 with an Expansion Pak for $110, which was quite ridiculous to be honest. They even had an Intellivision (which is from the early 80's I believe) in perfect shape. Lord knows how much that would have cost. I wish I could list all the of classics I found at Game City, but I would probably break Yelp. But yeah, when it comes to more recent games, don't waste your time here. Just go to EB or BestBuy, and you'll probably get a better deal. If you're looking for the old-school and obscure, go right in! They also give cash or in-store credit for games and DVDs, which is great.

They have new and used games for modern systems as well, and there's also a modest selection of movies. I wouldn't say that the selection of games at this store is the greatest. It's certainly not as good as EB games, but Game City has reasonable prices, and the selection of vintage games makes this store worthwhile to check out. I've purchased quite a few used games here, and I've never had any problem with them. Even if the game doesn't work, you can bring it back. Oh, and you can sell your used games here too.

The way this store is organized makes it more suiting for those who have a good idea of what they are looking for, as most of their games are stored in cases or behind the counter. For those just browsing like I was, it is really hard to see what they have behind the counter, as there is a fair distance between you and the shelf. I did appreciate that they were alphabetically organized though! Many of their games also don't come in cases, so if you're curious about what the game is about, you have to look it up on your phone or ask the staff. The other inconvenience was that the games are not marked with prices, so again, you have to ask the employee each time which I found a little tedious. As for their game selection, there were very limited Pokemon and Zelda games, and no Fire Emblem games. They carry mostly newer game titles but you can manage to find older games for cheap. Need a headset for your game system? EB has them for good prices. They usually have consoles for sale in store however I still usually make sure to make a reservation for pick up which you can set up online or on the phone. I have not been disappointed by the staff or a game yet. They have a cash in system where you can cash in your old games and systems and receive store credits however EB games is often criticized for the amounts they offer. I don't usually trade my games in but it is something to pay attention to if you want a discount on newer games. The downside of this store is the size. It is quite small and gets crowded easily. Because of the size the check out lines can be long and in the way if you are trying to get to the other side of the store. They usually have two people on the registers but sometimes complicated returns or check outs happen and take time. I have bought many games here and I'm sure I will continue to do so in the future.
