Clean, friendly staff, and great equipment. We even saw Dave Chapelle so highly recommend

Great service...beautiful day on the water. Totally recommend Birch Bark Canoe Livery for a relaxing time down the Mad River.

The experience here was amazing. My review is during Covid so I was curious to see how they operated under a pandemic. All of the staff was wearing masks and being safe with social distancing. I went canoeing here so that is what my review is based on. Showed up and checked in. They require you to fill the waiver out online so it's contact free. You are allowed to bring coolers with you for food and drink. This trip was absolutely beautiful. It's super shaded so even on the hottest day, you can actually enjoy yourself without feeling disgusting and sweaty. Overall I would definitely travel out here again to go canoeing or kayaking. The staff and the scenery is enough to travel a bit.

Went here for Father's Day adventure, wasn't disappointed. We were able to kayak the water, took about 2 hours, didn't seem like 2 hours so that was nice. We'll go back for sure

I've never kayaked before but this was so easy and relaxing. The boys that helped me in and out of the kayak were wonderful.

It was an 87 degree day, but in the river felt like 70 due to the spring water and the amount of shade!

I'm not a hiker, but I found the trail to be a somewhat easy hike for a senior and the walkways and guardrails were well-maintained. There are lots of benches to sit on to take in nature, darling native plants, and plenty of interesting facts to read about along the trail. We saw photos and explanations of how the Little Miami River was used to power grist and cotton mills, paper factories, and breweries. In the information building, we were greeted by the very friendly ranger, who gave us a botanical identification brochure (it would have been very useful during the hike) and introduced us to the turtles in their enclosure. The preserve was quiet, and we enjoyed ourselves so much. This is just the start of our adventure of the Clifton Gorge, and there are so many more activities to explore. We hope to be back during another season when the water in the gorge is flowing more rapidly.

The little Miami river runs through it. We hiked a loop. Starting by at the North Rim trail by the nature center and taking it to its end, which actually is in the John Bryan state park. We then looped over to the John Rich trail and hiked back. The total hike approximately 4.3 miles. But of course, there are multiple trails and options for length of hike. What made this hike absolutely beautiful was the deep gorge and valley into the river. The northern rim is on top of the gorge and the John Rich trail follows at the base of the gorge alongthe river. There are stunning views from the top of the gorge looking down, as well as numerous places with bolts for rock climbing. It is heavily wooded and provides for nice shade in the warm weather months. Along the lower trail you can experience river up close. The views are stunning. We saw a large Great Blue Heron on the bank looking eagerly for its next meal. The heavily wooded area provides for a wealth of plant life including beautiful ferns and in the sunny spots, wildflowers. There are picnic areas located along the trails as well as benches and overlooks. There are no entrance fees.

The folks running the show weren't very friendly but maybe they were having a bad day. I did enjoy the peaceful float down the river and then we dropped by Corwin and had lunch and ice cream.

We had some bumps along the way, but otherwise, canoeing and kayaking with RiversEdge Outfitters was great! When I found out that we were doing the 9m ride I thought for sure it would be exhausting. But it was actually pretty relaxing and didn't notice how fast the time was passing. I also GREATLY appreciated the fact that they sold waterproof gear on site. Shoes, containers, phone bags...etc. I happen to forget my waterproof pouch for my phone and had a thought, "Oh, it'll be fine...I won't tip..." Changed my mind at the last minute before we got on the shuttle and man, I am GLAD I did...because when you say, "Oh, I won't tip..." You end up tipping. Thank you RiversEdge for a great time! : )

We visited Morgan's yesterday for the second time this summer. It's a great meeting spot for friends that live in Cincinnati and Indianapolis. Our first visit was on a Thursday and the second was on a Sunday. There was a big difference in the amount of people when going during the week versus the weekend. I would highly suggest a weekday visit if you would prefer less people. After a brief safety talk, you grab a life vest, paddle, and boat and you are off! We did kayaking on both of our visits, but saw a lot of people out on canoes and rafts. It is about a 7 mile trip and both times it took us about 3 hours doing a relaxing trip down the river with minimal paddling and a lot of floating. We packed a picnic lunch and pulled our kayaks out on a shady spot and ate lunch. This is not a technically different kayaking route. There are a few sections that are rocky, have some tiny rapids, or tree roots that you need to navigate, but all in all, it is a beginner level trip perfect for the novice and fun for all. The equipment is good, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The price is also good for a budget activity ~$30 per person! Let's talk about COVID-19 precautions: Morgan's takes this seriously! They are by reservation only and have designated checkin times. For our weekend checkin when it was busy, a man greeted us when walked up and directed us to an empty table to fill out our group's waiver. Once done, we took to a table with one staff member to checkin. All of this was outside. During the week, this was done in the building, but we were the only group. There are social distance markers on the ground, limit to 3 people per the changing room/restroom, social distance on the bus to bring you back, and all staff wore masks. Thank you for keeping us safe!
