The Marshall asked if he could pull the pin on 18 before it was dark, since he was in a hurry to leave, then was still sitting in his cart next to the green talking to a regular by the time we finished up. Couldn't wait till we finished? BS it wasn't close to dark we were just the last group out... Front office workers are usually polite, but there's always a group of retired regulars that give you the evil eye when you walk in, hanging around the bar. Another time the front desk told us the same group was rounding hole 9 and playing the front 9 again, but that we could play through. We got down to hole 1 and the group of 7 tee'd off while we (2 of us) waited and were never waved through or acknowledged. We decided to pass on the first 2 holes and just start on 3, then received a bunch of rude comments from the group about golf etiquette. At least they noticed us this time. We didn't say much besides the front desk gave us the go ahead, and that we had waited for all of them to tee off at the same time and they should have waved us through. I guess some people have nothing better to do, plus getting in a fight with a retiree isn't on my bucket list. Normally wouldn't rate a place based on its patrons, but these guys are all obviously from the same place, and tolerated by the course.

There is a good amount of bays and good deals on balls. You can buy "membership" ball deals. For instances you would buy a package that costs $45 but get $90 worth of balls on your card. The credits go on a card and you they stay on there for when you want to come back and buy more balls. Some of the mats could be replaced and I wish they would recalibrate or fix the ball tracers. Sometimes they work really well and other times they don't work very well at all. All in all, the ball tracers are fun to use and come in handy for tracking your distances. Definitely recommend this place. Would be 5 stars but the ball tracers aren't cheap, and I've lost a bit of time messing around with them not working.

In light traffic, Bellerive is located about 20-30 minutes west of the city of St. Louis and only 15-20 minutes southwest of the airport. This is a private club that was established in 1897. The current golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and opened in 1960. Since then, the club has hosted three majors: the 1965 US Open, the 74th PGA Championship in 1992, and the 100th PGA Championship in 2018. It's also hosted two senior majors, the 2004 US Senior Open and the 2013 Senior PGA Championship, as well as the 2008 BMW Championship, the second-to-last tournament of the FedExCup Playoffs. Brooks Koepka (-16) won the 2018 PGA Championship by two strokes over Tiger Woods (-14) who finished in sole possession of 2nd place. On Sunday, Tiger shot the best score of his career in the final round of a major (64). Unfortunately, it was too little, too late against a dominant force like Koepka who refused to give up the lead. It was very exciting to watch, especially at the time. Tiger was getting closer and closer to winning his 15th major, his first in what would have been 10 years. Less than a month prior, he had sole possession of the lead early in the final round of the Open Championship at Carnoustie. After several winless and absent years on Tour, the possibility of Tiger winning a major championship had become real again. Bellerive Country Club did a great job getting the grounds ready for the best golfers in the world including the legendary Tiger Woods on a comeback trail. Despite rain and typical summer weather in the Midwest, St Louis fans came out in huge numbers to support this awesome event. All of the players, including Tiger... said St. Louis was the best crowd they ever played for. Thank Bellerive Country Club for being gracious hosts and the PGA for bringing the 100th Championship to STL!

There are about 4 courts and two pickleball simulators. I loved that it was not crowded and we were able to enjoy our playtime without being rushed out. This place is nicely decorated and very clean, which is always nice. The men at the front desk were extremely nice and accommodating. I have played pickleball a few times but this was my first time trying a simulator. It was fun and I look forward to going back.
