He doesn't let you finish talking and just makes assumptions about what you're going to say, which I think is probably a bad quality to have as a lawyer. If I hire someone to represent me I want them to be cool headed and think about what they're saying or doing. So in the interest of ensuring people get good representation I think its important I share my experience with him. As I was detailing a single moment out of a long list of ones to him he impatiently told me they wouldn't give counsel on that incident. As I asked him to please let me finish so I could tell him it was not only one single incident but some several, one with thousands of damage, he cut me off and told me I should find a different law firm. I wonder if his partners know this is how he treats potential new clients.

Then today we received a letter from Norwood & Norwood stating: "Through police and court records we have learned you have been charged with a crime and should have an attorney to defend you." Are you kidding me? After stopping work immediately to call both Benton and Washington counties to ensure there was not in fact a warrant out (which there wasn't), I called the attorneys' office. The initial administrator was rude and short with me. Eventually I spoke to one of their attorneys who said, and I quote: "We get a list from the jails and send out the mailer from the information in that database." First of all, after a few minutes, he walked back that statement because my information WASN'T with the jail. Second of all, he was entirely unapologetic and refused to acknowledge that this type of advertising is corrosive and absolutely unacceptable. If I had actually been charged with a crime I would probably consider using them. However to tell me that being issued a speeding citation justifies what he said dismissively was "fairly standard boilerplate language" is absurd. I will be the first to say I'm an idiot. However I think it's grossly negligent for this organization to advertise their services using such aggressive, escalatory language like that in a mailer. Take a look at the included photo and make your own judgement call. If you received this, would you be concerned?
