My wife and I looked at a few places when we were trying to find a venue for my daughter's Sweet 16. We liked the Birchwood and Farrell gave us a really good vibe. Planning the event was very easy and low stress. They kept contact throughout the year leading up to the event and I can honestly say that the event went off without a hitch. They catered to us and made sure our (my wife's ) party vision was exactly what they delivered. Now my wife helped with most of the decorating (she's available if you like the way this was decorated by the way) so she gets props but overall the Birchwood did an amazing job making, the room look exactly how we pictured it. It goes without saying that the food was awesome as well. I had Farrell check in with me throughout the night with the open bar, and she was very accommodating. Overall, the event was very fair priced and they worked with us in designing exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend.

Words cannot express how thankful we are to Birchwood Manor for making our dream wedding come true. From the start of the wedding planning process until the very end, our banquet manager and maitre d, Farrell, made sure every one of our requests were granted. She made the whole process easy and enjoyable and we knew from the moment we met with her that we were in great hands. Three months later, and our guests are still raving about the delicious food. The cocktail hour had multiple stations ranging from sushi bar, seafood bar, carvings, fajitas, to our favorite gourmet mac and cheese and more. I was even surprised by custom ice carvings! The lobster tail and filet mignon dinner was melt in your mouth perfection. And for an exciting finish, there was an endless assortment of passed desserts that had our guests tasting them all. The service was fast and friendly, and accommodating to some of my guests dietary requests. Even though it ended up raining prior to the start of our ceremony, the staff at Birchwood was able to accommodate and set up an inside ceremony that was just as beautiful. Thank you once again to Birchwood Manor and Farrell for one of the best nights of our lives!!!

Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, is more important to me than making my dearest mom happy on Mother's Day. She raised me and sacrificed so much so I would do anything to make her happy. Luckily for this Mother's Day, I decided to make reservations at the Birchwood Manor. All I can say is the experience was certainly memorable and beautiful for my mom and my family. First the building is nestled in a beautifully manicured oasis of trees and flowers. If the New York Botanical Garden is reading this, take note of how gorgeous a garden can be with meticulous care and love. There is something to be said about driving up to a destination and feeling like YOU HAVE ARRIVED, and not simply getting there. My mom and family was duly impressed. Now on to the meal. My mom loves to try different kinds of food; I guess that's where I get it from. After being seated, with a glass of Mamosa in her hand, she made her rounds and saw all the different choices for their Mother's Dat Brunch. From Eggs Benedict to prime rib, every bite was truly delish (my opinion and mom's). The usual breakfast fare was present but there were a couple surprises such as the lobster salad, teriyaki beef tips, and manicotti as well. The dessert table included cannoli, terimasu, and carrot cakes just to name a few. Truly rounded out the experience on a high note. After some picture taking (truly a must) my family and my mom couldn't stop raving!

I recently attended a work event here. Food was decent and the facility was pretty nice. I was not impressed by the decor inside it was a litte old fashioned for my taste but I was quite impressed with the grounds. Tons of parking and plenty of staff inside and out. I had a nice time....... 1,500 realtors with an open bar......That shit cray.

Te'Niijah and A'tasia were an absolute dream to work with. They were professional friendly and always accessible whenever we had questions. They offered helpful recommendations and made us feel supported throughout the planning process. You can tell they genuinely care about making your event special and stress free. We get booked all the time on behalf of Mike (who's awesome btw). The staff is courteous and absolutely amazing! The space is two floors a large dance floor and multiple rooms to set up your party, 2 bathrooms, and a VIP riser. This past weekend we did a surprise birthday, complete with open photobooth. Two weeks prior we had done a huge Halloween party (150+) people---the venue set up space for a fortune teller, face painter, large buffet, glow-in-the dark t-shirt section all at request of the client. So if you're looking for a great venue to throw your next party, bridal brunch, anniversary, or just a night out with a few hundred of your closest friends please go check this place out! Thanks Mike your the best!

Their solution was to use several small space heaters throughout which didn't do anything to warm up the rooms and only managed to continuously trip the circuits and shut out the lights. Also, do not use their in house catering. I wish I knew the name of the caterer they used because they would deserve a review of their own. The penne vodka was so spiciy you could not eat it. Normally the pasta would be one of the first things to go so you know it was really bad - it was barely touched. How do you screw up the pasta? Thankfully I had ordered a couple of extra trays of food because there would not have been enough food otherwise. Not sure how they calculate their food portions or maybe Mike just needs to review my food order with the caterer to see what was ordered vs what was delivered. Because definitely something is off. No complaints about the staff. They just couldn't overcompensate for the bad experience.

Complete smart ass, but funny as hell none the less. I also truly enjoy that there is a pool table as well as a bowling alley. Gives one something to do if they find themselves bored. My complaints? A few: 1. The food is average. For the price one pays to be part of the club, I would expect more. 2. The club never seems to have an abundance of people, especially of the younger variety. Of course, the age group is of personal taste. 3. Of the people I have met there, there are a few that I would consider snobby in the least. But, what can you expect, it's a wealthy town, and you will always find people such as this in one. A good neighborhood club, but certainly not the best.

While the building and grounds are slightly above average looking, the service and food are definitely superior to any country club in the area. I started with a tomato and mozzarella appetizer (very fresh) and my friend ordered the seared ahi tuna appetizer. Sliced tuna shingles with various Asian inspired garnishes such as seaweed salad, wasabi, diced avocado. Almost too pretty to eat but after one bite, all bets were off. Easily one of the best appetizers on the menu. I had the pork chop which was thick and juicy and my buddy had the salmon, blackened. Could have been a little spicier for me, but tasty nonetheless. We shared bananas foster for dessert-prepared tableside. Bring the kids for this one, they'll love it. After dinner we went downstairs to the bar for a nightcap and were greeted by Ed, a guy that really loves his job and his "office" which overlooks the lake. I had a Remy (served warm - yummy) and my host had an ice cold beer, Stone IPA I believe. We ended up staying and chatting with the bartender, a funny guy, and a few other members who were there for a quick bite at the bar. Yes, bar food in a country club! They wouldn't stop raving about the burgers! Dress is casual but neat. I was a little overdressed but felt right at home after removing my jacket and tie. All in all it was a great experience. Based on my visit, I look forward to returning. Next time I'll leave the suit and tie at home.

After spotting a social media post about the garden's Cascade fountain reopening after a 16-month restoration, my walking companion and I decided to check out this hidden gem. Greenwood Gardens was a private family estate until 2003, when it opened to the public under the auspices of a non-profit organization, and you can really feel that rich tapestry of the families' history as you wander through the grounds. The highlight of our visit was the Cascade fountain, which now features water flowing through it for the first time since the early 20th century! If you're looking for a peaceful, historic, and beautiful place to stroll, Greenwood Gardens is absolutely worth the visit. We'll definitely be back! Pro Tip #1: Plan on about 75-90 minutes for a self-guided walking tour, buy tickets online in advance ($15 for adults aged 14 to 64; $10 for Seniors aged 65+; $5 for children aged 5 to 13), and wear weather-appropriate attire/walking shoes. Pro Tip #2: Leave your tripod at home.
