I have been sailing with Capt. Bob Lubberman on the Osprey out of Miss Chris Marina in Cape May NJ since 2011. Every trip is different. Every trip is wonderful. The boat is comfortable and most times the waters are calm so it is a relaxing trip. You will see plenty of birds and you never know when something rare may pop up. Sunset cruises can be particular beautiful. Capt. Bob and any naturalists on board will be sure to educate you on the birds you see and afford you the best, safe vantage point for vieiwing. You will not be disappointed if you include a sail on the Osprey as part of your visit to Cape May.

2021 makes the 11th season that I've sailed with Capt. Bob Lubberman on the Osprey. I highly recommend the birding cruise. It's never the same trip twice. It's comfortable on the boat, interesting and informative as Capt. Bob and the naturalists on board have a wealth of knowledge about the birds. The scenery is gorgeous especially if you catch a beautiful sunset on the evening cruise. I never tire of taking a cruise on the Osprey. It's great for all ages. It's also a wonderful opportunity for photographers to work that shutter button.

We wanted to do something involving our love for birdwatching on our trip in Cape May. I found this tour and booked it. It was so much fun. Our guide, Robert (Bob), really knew his stuff. He knew where all the different types of birds were and made sure we got up close to them on the pontoon boat. We saw bald eagles, Osprey, egrets, black skimmers, and others. We went to the low tide marsh area and it was gorgeous. The whole experience was amazing. I highly recommend for families with kids or if you are even a bird-loving couple like us.

I really recommend this tour for seasoned and novice birders alike! We were running a few minutes late and Bob called us to check and wait for us which was amazing. The tour was AWESOME. He took us to some awesome spots- and the ride was fun in general. I got some great photos with my personal camera- and there are plenty loaner binoculars. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, we'll be back next trip to the shore.

This was the perfect bird lovers gift. The tour was reasonably priced. It was a two hour "safari" tour of the birds in the wetlands of Cape May and Wildwood. You could order tickets online or opt to buy them in person before the tour. Parking was easy and free. The boat was shaded and had windows that could be opened. There was an open deck in the front that could accommodate up to 6 people. The captain and naturalist were very friendly and knowledgeable. We saw plenty of ospreys and their babies. We were able to witness breakfast for the family. We saw a variety of birds from dozens of oystercatchers, to a bald eagle. The tour came with binoculars that you could borrow. The green flys were bothersome at some points so I would suggest wearing thick long pants as well as layers. There was a port-a-potty towards in the back of the boat if that's needed. Overall it was a great experience and got to learn a lot about the local birds!

Super fun experience. The guide was passionate and informative, and we saw a good variety of birds and a few newborns!

Cape May reminded us of a smaller version of Napa wineries. Natali had interesting wines. Kate at Natali was very helpful & knowledgeable. Kathy at Cape May Winery was excellent describing their wines, the wine making process and general questions about wine. But Willow Creek was unorganized, the server was not interactive with our group, very minimal explanation of the wines and was not very knowledgeable about general questions about wine. Very young vineyard and the wines tasted immature. Please offer other wineries as part of the tour package and eliminate Willow Creek.

NEVER AGAIN! One star review!…read more Im taking the time to write a detailed report because the captain and owner of the company was so rude and dismissive to me in his phone call. Please see the photos of what others had to say as well. They're getting a one-star review, not because of the beautiful wildlife or the engaging guide, Dan (who I tipped $5) but because of the poor customer service and the roughest, most violent boat ride I've ever experienced in my life. Customer service-wise, Kathy (a veteran employee) was very, very rude. After the fact, I read a so many previous reviews on all platforms that spoke about how rude Kathy was. I'm not shocked. I was simply asking for help for an elderly woman with a cane, and she was extremely short with me and yelled at me 'I'm moving as fast I can!'. Other passengers stepped in to help. For example, another woman gave the elderly woman her fountain drink cup to throw up in originally. The elderly women's daughter was also shocked at the way Kathy yelled at me and told me that I was just asking her to do 'her job', no need to react that way. There were about 15 people who became seasick and some were throwing up throughout the boat, including my partner. He basically sat inside for the entire trip and was unable to enjoy the experience. He was actually the person I originally booked this experience for. I tried to get as much footage as I could for him on my phone. I've been whale watching and dolphin watching before, and I have never, ever experienced anything like this. Later, I spoke with the owner, Captain Matt Remuzzi, by phone. He told me that my Google review made him "sick to his stomach" and accused me of "bashing" his company online. I found the conversation extremely unprofessional. His tone became so aggressive that I ultimately had to end the phone call. I have never had a business owner speak to me that way after sharing my experience as a paying customer. Even though I got to see the beautiful animals and Dan was a joy, I would never, ever again support this business. I'm thankful that there's another boat company that offers the same tour nearby, and if I ever go back to Cape May, that is the company I would use.

This is NOT deep sea fishing -- and you will probably NOT take whatever you catch because it will be too small. But if trawling the 12 foot bay with 2 baited hooks on a basic rod/reel rig with the occasional hit interests you -- this charter could be your thing. The Groupon price point is quite reasonable. Captain Tony is an engaging and hospitable host and his new pontoon style boat is steady and accommodates a dozen plus very comfortably. That's about the complement we had on our morning excursion and this is the first year he is running this boat in Cape May. Top Tip: Great for kids who have never fished before -- they will land something -- we all did -- mostly baby sea bass and mud sharks. The crew is helpful and the experience pleasant.
