Well, this station certainly does have limited facilities, despite the fact that by the time you…read morereach here you are almost into the centre of Geelong. The city side platform does have a rather nice building there, but the other side seems to be only for people who get off the train, having come in from Melbourne. Mind you, the subway does have some rather nice artwork.

A part of me expected that this station was just going to be one of those boring country stations,…read morenamely because Diggers Rest really isn't all that big. However, upon jumping off the train I noticed that it does happen to have one of those nice, older buildings that you tend to find on a number of the railway stations. In fact, that made this place pretty cool. Oh, they have also completely refurbished the place as well when they electrified the line.
