    Feast for a family!

We stopped by on our way to Lake Chapala. The food was delicious - a large portion of Birria de Chiva for 4 people including queso fundido, frijoles, tortillas, drinks, cafe de olla, etc. We couldn't finish it all. The service was minimal but the waiter was very knowledgeable and explained all the dishes thoroughly. The ambiance was nice. We went on a weekday, so it was pretty empty, but the place is huge and apparently attracts large crowds during the weekends.

It's one of their OG spots in Tlaquepaque. They been around over 100 years. Very nice hacienda feel to the restaurant l my type of place. The waiter came quick brought me chips and salsa and took my order immediately. The food takes like 15 minutes to come out. They charred the meat and served the consome on the side like au jus style. The beans were some of the beans and cheese I've ever had and the Birria was amazing. Tortillas were home made and really good as well. It was so cheap too for how much food they gave me. Loved that place definitely going back as soon as I touchdown in Guadalajara, Top 3 meals I've ever had no lie.

This place is very traditional birria slow cooked goat meat with spices. Arrive by 11am and you are guaranteed all attention and amazing service. Arrive 2pm and be ready to wait a little bit to be seated. There are not many choices on the menu of one goes there is bc you want to eat birria or aome part of goat meat. You can also have the amazing broth they serve on the side of goat is not for you. The mint pineapple juice water is amazing too. And then at the end the amazing price value keeps you smiling. Yes, location is a bit off the grid but as a tourist foodie this is the kind of place you want to visit. I'll be back any chance!

Out in their garden toward the playground.

Great atmosphere and delicious food! All served family style and sold by the kilo. Best time is around opening as you get freshly made hot tortillas, and great service. There is plenty of seating for large parties and small parties alike as it is outdoor seating. There's even a small playground for the kids.

Que Chulada de maíz prieto…read more As a big fan of Vicente 'Chente' Fernandez I'm so thankful I was able to visit his rancho, but also it's a must to stop by to visit his store and restaurant. We went Sept 2024 and thought the hours were until 4 p.m. Once we walked to the gate noticed a crowd standing around but no one asked if we'd be able to enter. I kindly asked the groundkeepers if they'd allow us to pay our respects to Chente as we traveled from Northern CA. They did go ask for permission and allowed us all to enter. They did ask us if we're able to donate as it was almost 4 p.m and after their normal business hours. Our family donated and noticed few in the crowd did also. Upon entering the gates you'll see a statue of our Vicente, alot of beautiful flowers, his horses and different garden decorations. It's so peaceful and there is a life size replica of Vicente you're able to take pictures with. Vicente is buried nearby and music was playing. We paid our respects and to your right is his guitar shaped Pool. Behind the Pool you'll see different type of animals and there is a horse stable. We thanked the gentleman again and made our way to Vicente's store. Give yourself enough time to visit the store as there was a big crowd and buses of tours as well. The employees are very friendly and we did ask to taste two different tequilas. I bought one bottle and it really is smooth. Next door is Chente's restaurant and everything we ordered was delicious. It was a hot day and we ordered a pitcher of agua de jamaica. They're very friendly and there was a live mariachi. Although they did charge $20 per song it was worth it. We ordered carne asada, camarones, quesadillas, y pescado. Everything was delicious and you can't help but notice all the personal touches Vicente has all around his restaurant. Do give yourself plenty of time as traffic is heavy from Guadalajara at times and know that it's complete my free to visit Vicente's rancho. Over all we were pleased to have seen everything up close and plan on going back again.

I only had roughly 45 minutes to get food and board a plane and I was hungry! I ordered the Torta Ahoagada and a drink. The food came out pretty quick. The food was pretty expensive but it's expected at an airport. It also seemed more expensive since everything was cheap during vacation in Guadalajara. The bread seemed a bit stale and the meat was not as tasty. I ate most of the meat from the torta and just couldn't finish the rest. I will probably try a different restaurant the next time I am at this airport.

I had to wait a few minutes, as they told me that they could not process credit card payments until 4:00 AM. They processed my order before that, and got me my breakfast in a timely manner. The food itself was ok, not the healthiest and somewhat tasty. But it did its job and gave me much needed energy for the start of the day. The coffee was pretty good, and the juice tasted freshly squeezed. The staff here is nice. This place is open when other places in Guadalajara airport are not, so I appreciate the convenience. For a fast food breakfast, it is better than Jack in the Box or Carl's Jr.

I arrived almost at 10pm and an employee guy told me only takeout service was available. I ordered my food and sat down to wait. Shortly after, two men arrived. The employee repeated "only takeout," but the guy's coworkers interrupted and said yes, they could sit and eat. That already annoyed me and I thought: well, he just lost his tip. Finally paid for my food. Went to the hotel where I'm staying now. Couldn't even finish one taco. They stink and taste horribly like pig urine. I don't know if they use lard or oil where they cook pork, but what a disappointment. I almost NEVER ever ever leave reviews or am picky. But if I can't finish these tacos, it's because they're freakin' awful. Consider yourselves warned. How do you ruin arrachera with such a disgusting smell/taste?? Gee.
