When my mom was asking the general manager to call someone(my grandma is 75 and we were worried because of how hard the fall was) she responded by telling us we're not in United States and wanted to kick us out. That comment was so ignorant, unprofessional, and lacks empathy. There was two other women and a man who came to check on my grandmother and also stated they tripped on the same step coming in and almost fell. The waiters where kind and so helpful towards my mom and grandmother. When we were waiting for the paramedics the general manager even accused us of "trying to get money from them". I hope they get that step fixed or at least a sign placed and I hope management gets a lesson on how to be professional instead of skewing ignorant accusations.

It is typically served on New Year's Eve to celebrate the new year. This shop is more like the fast food version of pozole. I tried it because I had heard a lot about how great pozole is, but this is not the shop to really enjoy pozole. There is a mixed set of pozoles, which is like a taster for four of your favourites, but overall the dish wasn't that tasty. It wasn't horrible, but I can imagine that there's a tiny out of the way spot somewhere nearby with pots cooking serving some killer pozole, this wasn't it. It's close to the touristy area of the historical center and more than a few tourists were eating there. Don't let this be the only place you try pozole when you visit Mexico. It's a much better dish than this restaurant would lead you to believe.

I had breakfast here with friends a few days ago. First, the restaurant is beautiful, classy, roofed but open in the front (no worries, Guadalajara has wonderful weather), you're greeted by a gorgeous old carriage, and by staff dressed in traditional charro attire. The menu is extensive, offering a variety of chilaquiles and many other entrees. There are red, green, mole, poblano, and other kinds of chilaquiles from which to choose. I had some with egg, and extra grated cheese and loved it. The ambience is casual but nice. You could go dressed up or casual and fit in. I would have taken more pictures, but I didn't want to be rude to my hosts who invited me. If you like Mexican food and chilaquiles, if you are ever in Guadalajara you need to ensure Los Chilaquiles is on your list of places to go. The service we experienced was first rate.
