What really stands out about El Mora is the service. Everyone who works there is friendly, upbeat, and welcoming. Our waitress checked on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed, and we never felt rushed. The atmosphere was pleasant, with great music playing overhead. Although the restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, within about 15 minutes it had filled up, which says a lot about how popular this place is. I guess now chips will not be brought out until an order is made. Okay fine. After we ordered we were given 2 small chip baskets and 4 salsas. We asked for more chips and were told they no longer give chip refills, we'd have to pay. Our server told us no other Mexican restaurants in the AV give chip refills, which isn't true. The chips wouldn't have been such an issue but we were only given 2 small baskets for 10 people (7 teens and 3 adults). Anywho, the experience, tension and how we were talked to just left a bad taste and made it so we don't want to go back.
