I have left 2 reviews and I am hoping this review links to my other two. My second review was a bit…read moreunfair as I was mad that my daughter was not given a means to monitor her cat's blood sugar after his diabetes diagnosis. However I did not know there was a plan in place, and this week her cat is getting a patch that will monitor his blood sugar over 48 hours so they can adjust the dose. So it seems he is being treated well, and I am hoping our negative experience is not commonplace. They seem to be earning back our trust.

I am amending my review as someone finally called me back when I threatened to post a negative…read morereview (which I did anyway because it was the honest thing to do). They were very apologetic and lovely and got my daughter's cat in right away. (Note when my daughter arrived and asked to speak to the manager by name the receptionist was very rude to her, until the manager came right out to talk to my daughter.) The urinalysis test we'd waited 3 weeks for took 6 minutes in-office. So my lingering frustration keeps me from rating any higher than 3 stars. Turns out our cat has feline diabetes. A 3-week delay on this diagnosis - he could have died. We have him on insulin injections now, but he has had a seizure. We are not sure why because it happened over the weekend and we had to go to another vet clinic. At the other clinic we learned about using a meter to check her cat's blood sugar before and after meals and insulin. I was wondering how JAH was going to adjust her cats insulin dosages without a history of blood sugar readings. I am at a disadvantage because I live 350+ miles away from my daughter who is at school with her cat. I appreciate the new responsiveness of the manager and vet at JAH, however the receptionist continued to be rude to my daughter. I really want to feel good about the place that holds our feline family member's life in their hands. But the jury is still out.

The name doesn't fit, I called to have my puppy neutered and went in for consultation my pup is uno…read morebecause he only has one testicle. We were told no problems it was right under the skin it could be retrieved fairly easily and he was glad because if not he wouldn't feel comfortable. They scheduled an appointment and told me it was 405.00. It snowed the appointment day but they didn't call to cancel so I took him. Paid my money, weighed my 12lb baby and gave him to the very nice girl the Dr was waiting for him. I get a call an hour later my heart stopped, she said he's fine but it's gonna cost 275.00 more and you'll have to pay it when you pick him up. Wait! What? Why? Because he has one testicle, and it cost more, I thought that's why it's so expensive to neuter a male dog. I asked to speak with Dr Moore and he told me if he does more it cost more, We agreed on a price and I followed through with my end so let's half the cost. He declined, told me he would wake my puppy up and I could come get him. I agreed to pay the full amount because I didn't want my puppy to have to be put to sleep again but he refused. So no don't fall for the name and use caution when you love a fur baby and leave it here. The staff was very sorry and helpful as we waited to make sure I could take him safely. The nurse had to go outside to ask if I should still take him with him shaking like he was. As I was leaving Dr Moore was in the middle of the driveway putting out ice and didn't want to move, until I laid down on the horn. Haywood County folk talk, so be a good businessman. It's a hard no for my babies. I'm just thankful I didn't take my 150 lb mastiff.
