I ent for the first time today after calling to find out about the self bathing station. It's first come first serve but I had just a two minute wait! I had an extremely pleasant experience and I think Stella might have too. The staff is very kind. Parking was easy. We were looking for a place that sold pet food for our two dogs and discovered this place. Once we were in there we found out they offered more than pet supplies such as grooming services. We made an appt to drop off our two dogs for bathing, and trimming their nails. They called me when they were ready to be picked up. Gosh, I'm surprised I'm only the second to review The Dog House.... it is a Waynesville institution and has been here for a long, long, long time. Yesterday was the first time in many years that I have had one of my dogs groomed there. The cut was excellent and the fee on par what I am normally charged in other grooming salons. My dog is an uncommon breed that I would venture they very rarely see. The groomer did an excellent job and when I picked her up, asked if everything looked good to me. Her legs were *a little* choppy, nothing bad, and when I asked if he could go over them once more, he cheerfully did so with kind professionalism. She came back out all va-va-voom and looks just like the canine princess she is. They have an excellent selection of dog, cat, and bird natural foods and plenty of toys and treat to make your fur babies' days! read more

Good grooming but so unorganized in scheduling and rates. The owner needs lessons in providing service beyond putting herself first.

The owners and employees bend over backwards to please. I have witnessed some complaints from customers when I have been shopping here. It appears to me that when customers are unhappy it is due to a lack of clear explanations of their expectations. The Dog House's knowledge of their products and services has helped me put championships on numerous dogs over the 10+ years I have used them! My dogs like them and I like them. read more

Absolutely wonderful. The staff knows their products inside and out. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. Definitely not a warehouse store staffed by bored employees just waiting till their shift is over. If you want your canine groomed by pros here's where to go.
