John and his team were a pleasure to work with. I actually had the opportunity to meet him when picking up the empty toy collection box. His passion for helping make a difference in the lives of countless children was immediately evident and contagious. After my event, they even arranged for pick up as the box was so stuffed with toys that I couldn't even get it back inside my car. I'm grateful to be able to work with such amazing organization. I had an appointment there at 4:00 on Tuesday 3/3. As I was almost at the consent portion at the end of the questionnaire, an error symbol popped up. I stood up to let somebody know & a guy with dark hair & a low bun came over and said"what did you do?!" Not very nice to put it mildly. I told him I didn't touch anything to which he remarked "uh okay" again nasty. Then he goes to the other nasty older lady with blondish hair, says something & she says "what, did she screw it up"? Not even 10 feet from me! He comes back & says "well now I have to wait for someone with the authority to reset this bc I can't do it, I don't know what you did" I tell him again, I didn't do anything to which he says " well now you have to wait". I couldn't believe this guy. So I wait for about 25 mins, not great but whatever, as he and the blondish lady are literally talking about me! Looking at me, looking at each other m, looking at me, rolling their eyes. Even making eye contact w/ me & holding it! Unreal. So the man they were waiting for Paul apparently returns, the guy with the bun comes over, resets the computer for me and says nasty again " if you have another issue, ask someone, don't touch anything"! With dramatic arm gestures like I'm a child. I start the questionnaire over again annoyed as he returns to the lady & starts talking about me again! At this point I've had it. I literally stood up, started putting on my coat when the lady comes over & says "is everything ok"? I said "no, I'm done here, I'm going to go to the Melville location. She says "the computer is the same there" I say"it's not the computer, you people are awful" I'm not someone who complains or causes drama whatsoever but at this point, I was so angry at the unprofessional demeanor of these people. I live in Massapequa where this location is & it was so bad I drove all the way to Melville at the peak of rush hour in the rain, that's how bad it was. The staff in Melville were great.chris behind the desk, Jennifer, and the other lady with the strawberry blond hair I didn't get the name of. Thank you so much for making my experience with you guys professional & extremely pleasant, you were so great. I honestly feel these other 2 in massapequa should not be dealing with people. They should be put at a desk behind the scenes & do data entry. I'm sorry this is so long but I had to get this out, I've haven't been able to get it out of my head.

At it's peak, there were 150+ fellow viewers. I loved every moment... the wonderful instructor was extremely calming, motivating, down to earth and genuinely positive. I wish I could make him the voice of my alarm clock each morning. Thank you again for hosting this. I've done a few guided meditation sessions before and this one was amongst the most well run. In fact, I almost forgot that this was being done over Zoom... it felt like the class was literally happening within my living room. At times like these, it was such an honor to be surrounded (even if virtually) by hundreds of like-minded and positive individuals. That group dance sess at the end was the icing on the cake!

It is Thanksgiving during a pandemic and many forget how fortunate they are and that they truly have stuff to be grateful for. With work and other outside demands, we need to let stuff go so that we can live in the moment and be happy. This helps to be more focused, energetic, and appreciative. I feel that anyone with a stressful lifestyle could benefit from this center's services. They offer on line classes or online one on one sessions. They are open every day- so there is no excuse to not be able to get some stress relief! Their hours are Monday- Saturday 10 am-10 pm and Sunday 10 am- 3 pm! I learned how to count my blessings today!

I highly recommend this shelter for anyone looking for small to medium size dogs of all ages. They…read morehad the largest selection of smaller dogs than any other shelter in the area from what I'm aware. They are located directly next to the Hempstead animal shelter if you want to check out both shelters in one trip. The dogs at this shelter are a lot more calm and seem less stressed than the typical shelter environment. There are 2 driveways, but make sure to use the second one to visit the adoption center (the first one is staff only). They also have a large variety of cats available. They are open until 7pm Monday-Saturday and until 6pm on Sundays. I noticed they don't answer the phone when we called ahead, but don't let that deter you, they were very nice and welcoming upon arrival. All the dogs seem to be walked often, which definitely helps with potty training them. Overall highly recommend.
