I had to strongly advocate for myself to receive further testing, which ultimately revealed a serious condition. Initially, I was told that large ovarian cysts were not a concern and that I was overreacting, but they were later diagnosed as aggressive ovarian cancer. Thankfully, I am now receiving care from attentive and compassionate doctors elsewhere.
