From the warm welcoming personality of the woman (sorry I don't recall her name), I spoke to on phone, to the electrician (Jake) you guys are simply amazing! After installing our new pendant light, my wife and I were disappointed that it was defective. Jake came back and took it down, so we can return it for another. You did this for no additional charge. Then Jake came back to reinstall the replacement fixture, again for no additional charge. In this age, where profit outweighs decency, Home-N-Around is a beacon of light. You guys are setting the bar for what doing good business and true customer should look like. If anyone ask us, if we know a good electrician? We will shout "Jake & Home-N-Around!" from the rafters. I was referred to Joshua by a friend and needed a plumber asap. It was a Saturday, so I didn't…read moreexpect him to answer, or if he did, expected to be charged a fee for the weekend response. I was wrong. Joshua told me that he was on his way and that he would not charge a weekend fee. After assessing the situation, he gave an initial assessment, which was very reasonable. then he called me into the garage and said he had figured out a way to fix the problem for a much cheaper amount, but he had to drive the 30 minutes back to his office then the 30 minutes back here to finish the job. He did a great job and did not charge for the extra time or the Saturday response. Before leaving, Joshua told me that if I had any issues with the new plumbing, no matter the hour of day or night, to call him and he would respond. He provided a detailed report of his work that included before and after photos of his work. This kind of plumbing professional is extremely rare, and he has my respect and any future business!

The existing bannister and balusters were of an elaborate design, and the first estimates I was getting just for materials were way over my budget. Cody worked with me and found a vendor who would sell the matching carved red oak handrail at price comparable to the simpler, less expensive styles I was afraid I would have to settle for. We also had to simplify the design to avoid the need for expensive, angled pieces on the landing, but we ended up with a nice arrangement that echoes the original, rather than looking like a cheap add-on.
