With places like the Wharf I don't see the point in coming in here. The prices are 34.99 with the food quality more around the $12.99 mark. Crab legs were dark with black spots compared, to the 2 nights at The wharf which were bright orange and always warm. Little more selection here, but not much of it is edible. Turnip greens were the spot light of the meal. As a place my parents and I have ate annually, normally at least 2 the week we from, this will be our last time. Food quality is the major issue. PS: please keep the food stirred as it was dry and old looking. Not at all appeasing to the eyes. read more

The server was very very friendly, which was the highlight. For $60 per person, you're much better off going literally anywhere else. The crab legs were always hot and fresh but not seasoned. Having sirloin on the Buffett is actually great, however, it dries out and gets well well done. A group of us went. There was 6 of us in total that went. We probably should have figured something was wrong when we pulled in and there was hardly any parking. We all paid for the seafood buffet except one. First let's give the non seafood buffet opinion. The steak was over cooked the macaroni and cheese was soggy and over cooked too. There was no real flavor to the food. The cheesecake tasted like jello no bake cheesecake. Now seafood. The shrimp was a joke, there was more bread than shrimp it was very rubbery and some hard. The crab legs were good the best part of the whole buffet however it wasn't worth the price. For $35 a person, a drink should come with the buffet. We paid close to $6 for 2 teas. However there was a good part we did have very good service. Our waitress was always there and smiling ready to please. In the end the crab legs were the best food and the service was good but not for what we paid. The buffet was over priced and not worth the money charged. If you want good crab legs though and money isn't an option this place is ok. read more

We arrived at approx 7:45 pm with the understanding they closed at 10 or 10:30 pm. Upon arrival they were only 4 tables of people in place. We came for one reason, unlimited crabs legs - Sadly upon getting from bar, they were cold :( We ask and waited and finally some hot ones arrived BUT upon eating we found out they were only reheated. Other than that, the buffet selection is very limited, and awful. Unless you're planning on eating $30+ worth of crab legs, don't go. The spaghetti really is brown, by the way. Russian waitress was attentive and sweet. Wait staff chatting together spoke inappropriately, an within earshot of my kids, and the manager was super grumpy and unprofessional. Was in PCB with a friend and we went here on a recommendation from a local. I mean, we wanted seafood and that part was pretty decent. However, the buffet is NOT worth $30 for dinner. The crab legs were really good and plentiful. They brought them out quite frequently. They had various other fried seafood and that was good too. They had what was called Jambalaya and Gumbo....not! I'm a cajun, so I'm not sure what they were trying to pawn off as Jambalaya, but that wasn't it! The other food on the buffet was just ok. Like I said, I think for $30, I was truly expecting some fabulous food. Should be $19.99 at best....but like we said, it was right on the beach and very touristy, so people will pay $30 for dinner. Went for lunch and they were kind enough to let us in before they were done setting up (thanks alot). The selection was kind of limited, but I think it was just because it was lunch. However, what they did have was reeeeeaaaallly yummy. Very home cooked, southern, momma made it sort of food and taste. It was a great treat after eating so much fast food and generic seafood around the area. (not dissing seafood but you know how it is a dime a dozen in this town) Over all the quality was good for a buffet. Great value if you've spent too much money. Our group came by Bishop's buffet since the hotel we were staying at recommended it. We called and asked about the wait on a Sunday night and was told there wasn't any and our party of 8 were seated almost immediately. We headed to the bar which was honestly, quite small compared to the buffets up here in Atlanta. The assortment to choose from included (previously bagged) salad, mashed potatoes, brown spaghetti, some deviled crabs, breaded and fried shrimp etc. The real reason why I wanted a buffet dinner was for the AYCE crab legs. The first few batches the kitchen brought out were not good. They weren't very clean, nor was the meat any good. However, as the dinner hour rolled on, they brought out fresher crab legs. Although they weren't as flavorful as I like or am used to, it was still fairly decent for an AYCE joint. Our waitress was great at keeping the drinks topped off and clearing plates so that was definitely a plus. if you go, go for the crab and bypass all the other questionable items. read more

Price wise, cost us just over $110 for a family of four with two kids. Oddly enough, they consider a 13 year old a large child. Anyways... Food was excellent. I ate a little bit of Mac and Cheese, mashed potatoes, fried shrimp, fried oysters, and popcorn shrimp. All of it was very good considering its a buffet. Then, I hit the crab legs. I think I had about 20-25 legs. Absolutely excellent! I've never seen a buffet keep crab legs that full. Our entire say, about an hour and a half, they kept two large metal tubs of crab legs stuffed full, and, We got there two hours before closing. We were worried that the buffet would be low due to closing hours, but this was not the case at all. Pricy, but I feel like we all ate our share of crab legs to make up for the price. Bishops is a place we usually stop at for some crab legs while on vacation. Bishops does a really good job keeping the crab legs full on the bar. Staff is always friendly. The only issue I have is paying $33 a person. I feel I get my money's worth but others in my family don't eat crab legs and they are forced to pay the same price as me. No. No. No. It was ridiculously priced for the less than mediocre food they offered. My friend really wanted to eat here so we stayed. While at the buffet the waitress literally struck up a conversation with my friend about how "snobby and picky" I seemed. My friend was embarrassed, but told the truth that my daughter and I both had high expectations of the places we were visiting and paying good money to eat and be happy. The waitress said "well they should not be so proud, not everyone can be". What does that even mean? We picked at their buffet trying to find something that was decent. The shrimp came in first place with an over all rating of 4 out of 10 possible. It might have increased had the melted butter arrived before our check did. We asked the waitress numerous times for melted butter and she finally told us they didn't make any that morning and she was trying to get it melted. It never came. As I often plan our visits out and leave just a few openings in dining plans, this buffet will not be making the cut on future visits to PCB! read more

came here for labor day weekend. We asked a hotel employee where was a good place to go for some All you can eat crabs and they recommended bishops. I came here for the crabs and I did crab myself out when I was there but most of the other food on the buffet line up was mediocre at best. The crabs were pretty salty and legs weren't full of meat when cracked open in the beginning but towards the end of our meal they got better... not so salty..almost sweet and legs were full with meat. I heard Capt jacks which was further away owened by the same people had better buffet... I wish I had driven the extra 10-15miles.. after all I drove 300mile plus from atlanta to come to PCB and have some good seafood.. talk about good seafood and food period... check out Dee's hangout.. I will be reviewing that place too right after this but that place was so so worth it.. read more

We ate the lunch buffet. Everything was good...the chicken was OK. My favorite was the many options on the salad bar. I was expecting some type of seafood...but it was just cod. The kids enjoyed it a lot. read more

If you want all you can eat hot sweet crab legs this is the place to be. It's expensive $40 per person but it's worth it. They have remodeled since we were here last year and it looks nice. The buffet is a bit better as well. The clams, stuffed crab shells and even the cheese grits were delicious. The service was ok. The server was nice but he didn't return to the table enough for us. We waited for drinks to be refilled and plates to be cleared just a little to long. But those crab legs made up for that. We even had one person who doesn't eat seafood and they will adjust the price but you have to watch your check. I knew from the outside that this place was gonna be a NO GO it's a run down restaurant with no windows which needs a complete overhaul the food presentation was sloppy and not good it not clean the booth seat cushions are falling apart. It's certainly a local joint with a emphasis on crab legs which I didn't have. Upon walking in the decor is not impressive. But the staff was warm and welcoming. It was busy which is a good sign of at least decent food. Most of the food was average, but I will say that the crab legs were amazing. If I had though about it more we would have starved the whole day to fill up on those legs....and for $30.... I would recommend holding out the day you go to get your monies worth. Over all, I do think the crab legs and other sea food was worth the meal. It was a good family place too. Decent American buffet place. It's 10.99 for lunch and a whopping 29.99 for dinner. We went for lunch and enjoyed some jambalaya, grilled fish, clam strips, deviled crabs, and your typical (read: poor) American salad offerings. I didn't feel cheated at the price but would have for any more than 10.99. The decor is straight 70's all the way. Walk through the doors and step back in time. So, if you like American style buffets with seafood, you'll probably like this place. If you prefer any type of dining (as opposed to simply eating) skip out on Bishops. read more

Went here while in PCB with extended family on a vacation. We had a large party and went here for lunch and they sat us immediately. The selection on the buffett was okay and the food tasted fresh and hot. Service was great, and the pineapple and coconut soft serve ice cream was unique and very good too. read more
