A decision to go to this restaurant for breakfast ended up turning into a fantastic start of the day for my birthday with some amazing people and great food. Wally greeted us warmly as we entered the restaurant. He even opened the door for us! What a great service and what a great manager! Then Jazzy, our waitress, was amazing. She was upbeat and friendly, I told her tshe and Wally were helping me start off my birthday right! The food was terrific as well. They offer healthy options and how they present the food made it looked so appetizing. The restaurant was clean and inviting. We are visiting from Texas and we also have First Watch there as well but the service at this location puts this place above all the other First Watch restaurants we've visited. Wait time wasn't bad for it being peak hours when we arrived. The menu was simple. They had a summer menu which was great. I got the elote breakfast burrito. The sauce on the outside was tasty but I the inside was lacking on flavor, and in my opinion way tooo much black beans, not enough meat. My husband got The Works and he enjoyed it a lot. Almost sent him into a food coma lol. Service was ok...our server was always on the move...he had multiple tables in different areas of the restaurant. He just took our order, brought it out and that was just it. Simple but not really personable or not really any interaction. Which I get as well. Just my opinion. The food is always delicious here. The waitress was very friendly and sweet. I would have liked better service. As soon as my friend and I were seated, with the waitress just turning to walk away, my spoon fell to the floor. The server wasn't even aware. She brought the muffins without letting us know they were chocolate instead of lemon blueberry. She also could have checked in more often. We really needed extra napkins. She never asked if I wanted to take home my leftovers. I finally flagged down a busboy, who kindly brought me a to-go box. And I also would love to have service finished by packing up my leftovers, instead of expecting me to do it. At the very least they should offer. I'm tipping the same for less service. That just doesn't seem right. read more

We recently ate at First Watch and had a bit of a mixed experience. The wait was around 40 minutes, and it was frustrating to see the host seating people out of order without any updates through the text system. Once seated, things started a little slow service-wise, and my meal came out noticeably later than the rest of the table. That said, the food itself was really good and definitely the highlight. The restaurant was pretty loud, and we were seated right by the door with a lot of foot traffic, which didn't help the overall experience. Prices felt a bit high for breakfast--around $30 per person. We were on vacation, ate here for breakfast/brunch. The place was reasonably busy. We did not wait long for our food. Our waitress (whose name I did not get), a woman with short blonde hair, glasses, had an accent.....she was fantastic. She went over the menu with us, made recommendations which were spot on! The menu is great, lots of healthy options. Everything we got was good. I also loved that they had a separate seasonal menu. We got the maple breakfast sandwich, pumpkin donut holes, a traditional breakfast plate, a bacado omelette, and a BLTE sandwich. All of it was delicious and the portions were huge. I feel like the prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size of the food. Would definitely recommend and would eat here again!! read more

We were seated quickly by very courteous staff. Our waiter, Delroy, was wonderful! The decor is simple, inviting, and comfortable. Even with the restaurant quite full, the noise level wasn't bad at all. We had the Floridian French Toast and a side of biscuits and gravy. The French toast was cooked to perfection, the fruit was perfectly ripe, the preserves added just the right touch of sweetness. The biscuits were fluffy and buttery. My grandma would've been proud! The turkey sausage gravy was perfectly seasoned, with just a hint of spice. The perfect combination to go with the sweet French toast. What an absolutely delightful experience! Our food was extremely fresh and delicious, our server, Victoria was nothing short of superb, and just the overall experience was wonderful. This is especially crucial because in so many restaurants, Customer Service is absent, food is not prepared freshly nor correctly, as well as a host of other issues. Not sure what all the buzz is about with this place but my experience was pretty bad. We go in and the first two things that happen is I see dry boogers on my seat and my pregnant wife puts her arm in syrup that was left on the table but no big deal so we carry on. Then we order and, we are given a whole pitcher of coffee for me and a pitcher of milk for my wife which I liked the coffee tho was terrible but whatever maybe most guest like there coffee harsh so it's fine. My wife said the milk was fine so that's good but then the absolute worst part came other than the bill for what we received which was the food. I got the works and my wife got the trifecta. My potato's were under cooked and stiff the eggs for me and my wife looked like high school lunch eggs or hotel eggs, garbage bland nasty stuff we both hated the eggs. The whole omelet was unsatisfying I had to force myself to eat my whole meal cause I mean I already bought it and I gotta get my morning calories but, mind you every bite was terrible. My wife said her bacon was fantastic on a plus side but the pancakes were nasty and didn't like biting into all the multi grain seeds in the pancakes. Also to top it all off there was a hair with something sticking to my spoon when I opened my utensils. So overall I paid a lot of money to have my worst dining experience in all my trips to Panama City at this highly rated place and it's very disappointing because I purposely go to highly rated places like this dining establishment to avoid dining experiences like the one I had here at first watch. The bill was 40 dollars btw read more

We asked about the discrepancy, and the explanation we were given was that she had ordered them earlier. However, we clearly heard her place the order while standing there. A simple, honest response--such as acknowledging that there had been a misunderstanding and apologizing for serving the last order to another customer--would have gone a long way. Instead, the interaction left us feeling singled out and, honestly, racially profiled because the other customer was Hispanic. Ironically, we are Hispanic as well, which made the situation even more disappointing. To top it off, the "tripleta" sandwich was not an authentic tripleta. If the chef wants to call it a traditional tripleta, it should follow the classic preparation and the meats that make a tripleta what it is. Otherwise, it would be better to rename the sandwich rather than market it as a traditional tripleta. Anyone from Puerto Rico--or anyone who has enjoyed authentic tripletas at Puerto Rican restaurants--will immediately notice the difference and likely be disappointed. The sandwich would also benefit greatly from properly seasoning both the pork and the steak. Adding the traditional mayo-ketchup sauce would go a long way toward delivering the authentic flavor people expect from a tripleta. The beef empanadas made the one star in this review since they were decently stuffed. Just need to work better on the wrapping. I posted a pic. But at least they were made and not bought frozen. I understand that mistakes happen, but honesty, consistency, authenticity, and good customer service are what determine whether customers return. My family and I love the food at First Watch. Whenever my husband has to go on a business trip we go here before dropping him off at the airport. The reason I took stars off is because our recent visit was the worst service I have ever received anywhere, worse than a fast food restaurant. Our waitress seemed rushed with us despite how slow it was with Covid. She seemed focused on wanting to hangout in the back kitchen and even messed our order up. They gave our 20 month old an omelette and no drink instead of the chocolate milk and pancake we ordered her. When I kindly mentioned it was the wrong ordered she huffed and said "well what was it then". They also set the hot coffee right in front of her face and she almost went to grab it. When I mentioned it to the girl at the front she didnt seem to care either and our bill included the mistake meal and she didnt remove it. We are finding a new breakfast spot and will continue to enjoy First Watch at different locations. read more

This is a nice place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Even when they are busy, the wait list moves fairly quickly. This past weekend, we dropped in and were a bit put off by the staff. The gal at the front desk seemed annoyed and unfriendly. When we ordered, two of our guests were served while it took almost ten minutes for the other two to receive their food. You shouldn't serve part of the table at a restaurant. Bad planning in the kitchen? It took us another 10 minutes to ask for syrup, which was never brought to us, and we never saw our waitress again. It would have been nice to have refills on our beverages. One guest ordered the Helote Burrito on the "Summer" menu. It was overwhelmed by the so-called hollandaise sauce. The sauce tasted more like a creamy vinegar than true hollandaise. I understand places get busy, but a restaurant should never discount service. It will come back to bite them. read more

It's a BLT eggs benny with avocado and arugula and lemon hollandaise Freaking FANTASTIC Also a fresh pineapple mint juice was very refreshing and not too sweet. Fantastic menu! I love the Market hash for breakfast with 2 cooked to perfection over easy eggs and fresh fruit. They have a great fresh juice menu as well and you get your own hot thermos of coffee for your table. The kids menu has also satisfied my daughter the many times we've been. I would give this place 5 stars but it does tend to get loud and overwhelming in there sometimes on the busy Pcb weekends. But with a great staff and better food, I can see why. read more
