You have to scan a QR code, order on your phone and wait for someone to deliver your food and drink to you. Bought a turkey sandwich at LaGuardia airport before boarding my flight. There was almost no stock on the shelf so I grabbed the one thing I could eat. It had gluten free bread which I did not notice until later. However, when I got on the plane the picture tells the story. The bread crumbled even on lightly holding the sandwich, spilling onto my lap, staining my paints and making the sandwich almost impossible to eat by hand. Oh, and they charged $16 for the privilege, or about twice what it should have been. Disgusting and unacceptable. When I returned from my trip I spoke to a manager there and she essentially shrugged her shoulders shoulders and said " well, it's gluten-free bread. If you can't make a sandwich with gluten-free bread that actually is a sandwich and not a sandwich crumble, don't sell it and certainly don't sell it for extortionate prices. read more

What the heck, they automatically add 18.5% tip, but you order your own food from a machine, and they don't fill your water glass. Like every other airport the prices will make you cringe, and pray your hardest that the food will be worth it. Well let me tell you, this place is not worth it. You get seated by a host, and that's pretty much the last real interaction you have. You're instructed to use the electronic pad in your face to browse the menu, then swipe your card to pay to make the purchase. Makes it pretty fast, and I liked that I could pay and leave whenever I'm done, but I think guests should have the option on tip amount. I ordered a $17.75 old fashion. I wanted to splurge since I had a great trip that day. The drink was by far the best thing I ordered. It was quite good, not $17.75 good, but it was an old fashion done right. $9 for some cold ass stale fries. Micky D's fries would have been soooo much better. Stopped in while waiting for a delayed flight (along with the rest of the country) and STARVING. I had a glass of wine, french fries and the tuna tower. My friend had the vegetable soup. My friend loved her soup! I, however, was a bit disappointed with my food. The french fries did not look like the picture...at all. They were bland and not very good. My tuna was missing the wonton garnishments (they were out). My wine came out quite quickly. Now that being said, I have NEVER in all my travels, seen La Guardia so incredibly busy. My service was outstanding. I tend to drink my water pretty fast when traveling (I get dehydrated quickly) and it was refilled in no time. The waitress/assistant (everything is ordered via iPad) was incredibly helpful. I never told her how disappointed I was with my food, especially $8 for the mediocre french fries, but she immediately grabbed a manager. I finally experienced my first great airport meal in a lifetime of travel! It happened here, at Bisoux in Terminal D of LaGuardia airport. I loved ordering and paying on the iPad (the glitches reported in by Yelpers 2013 have apparently all been ironed out), and being relieved of these responsibilities seemed to free up my server to chat with me from time to time. Moreover, I had the opposite experience to that reported by a reviewer below: a fellow solo traveler sat next to me, ordered what I was eating at my suggestion, and we became fast friends by the end of the meal. I also loved being able to check my email and surf the web while I charged my batteries (both literal and figurative). But what I loved most was the FOOD! First up: the best tuna tartare I've had in my life. It was so good I was tempted to order it again, but it was also very filling, and so I had a half-dozen delicious oysters as my second course. Then, thanks to the "flight info line" at the bottom of the screen, I was alerted that my connecting flight was delayed, and so I finished off with dessert. (A bread pudding: quite good, but not memorable.) Finally, the wine was delicious -- for my second glass, I ordered the cheapest red on the menu, and it was still excellent. Amazing concept! Sit down, charge your phone/ipad/laptop whatever, order drinks or food from their complimentary ipad (complete with flight status and free wifi), and pay for this right at your seat. It's not affordable perse, but it is super fast and you can order before even being greeter by a server. They do have servers for every table and have a 'help' button on the iPad if you get confused or need assistance. Nice selections of red wine too! They have free magazines on the iPads too, as well as, TV's so you can sit back and relax here for sure! Would definitely go back! read more

I stopped in here to get a drink at the airport before my flight. The classy, artsy decor was appealing, and I wanted to try their iPad setup, which turned out to be pretty neat, if not a bit confusing. In addition to ordering, you can track your flight info, as well as play some games or browse the internet. Through the iPad, I selected a delicious-looking Parisian Bloody Mary. The picture and description on the iPad included cornichon, which I thought be a nice flare to the drink, as well as other little garnishes that made it look particularly appealing. The drink arrived quickly, and while it was good, there were olives instead of cornichon. I love olives, but I had my heart set on those cornichons, so I couldn't help but be disappointed. There was also just a simple slice of lemon instead of the other garnishes. Again, I like lemon, but it wasn't as pictured. It's an airport, so you have to expect high prices, but for $13 I would have liked it to come as described, or at least come with an explanation, such as, "we're out of cornichon." The unconcerned service was magnified by the iPad ordering, which completely omits any means by which the diner can communicate and preferences that would be expected for a service restaurant, and one that charges these prices (tuna nicoise, 26.5). My colleague seemed intimidated by the ordering and the prices but he played along. His food, some sort of croque monsieur, looked like a lot of cheese and bread. To get an add of avocado, the server told me to order a soda, 3.5, which I did, and that got me the reaction, "Did you really want the soda?" I have to write that I appreciate the abundance of caution. That anecdote points up the flaw in the iPad ordering system. The decor is a big problem. A portion of what you pay for at an airport restaurant is the privilege of getting out of the soulless decor of the airport and away from the drone of CNN and throngs of people. Bisoux fails to do that. You feel as if you are right there in the terminal. Finally, the tables have iPad easels that diners must knock down to enjoy each other's company. TIP - iPad ordering sucks. For airport food, I must say that it really wasn't that bad. I like that there are iPads at every seat in the restaurant. It makes the time fly by when waiting for your flight. I took a seat at the bar to order some breakfast items with my bf. I ordered the Croque Madame with a cappuccino. The Croque Madame was good. I really don't have any complaints from where it came from. The cappuccino was not really good, so I didn't drink much of it. The froth was so thick and creamy that it wasn't enjoyable. My bf got the French Toast, and even though it wasn't great, it was good enough. If I were in this terminal again, I would definitely come back to this spot again. read more

Stopped by on Monday afternoon while waiting for our flight. Luckily, we had a couple of hours to kill because the drinks and food took a long time to arrive. The drink I ordered arrived about 15 minutes after I ordered and the food arrived about 20 minutes after I ordered. My gf had her drink 5 minutes before me (and we ordered at the same time). That said, the drinks were good and the food was good (had a sandwich with avocado and tomatoes). It's certainly overpriced, but it's the airport. Had an issue placing an order because the scanners did not match the iPad, A couple minutes later I heard another customer having the same issue. The staff may no attempt to correct the issue and by mounting the iPads to the correct scanner. After 28 minutes waiting for a burger, I requested a status, and asked if I should just go ahead and cancel the order; 10 minutes later my bruger showed up and my tab was closed out (I'm assuming so I could reduce the tip). Suggest when you place the order and the auto tipping scale comes up, set it to zero until you cash out. Rudest sales girl ever!!!! Ordered 2 hot chocolates and 1 coffee from a grumpy sales gilr last Sunday at exactly 2am in the morning. She was grumpy serving the coffee and humiliated me by conversing with her co-sales rep and saying there are customers that are stupid referring to me since I cannot verbally say the right name of the bread that I am ordering. She told me to say "why cant you open your mouth and say Jelly roll. How would I know that it was jelly roll when there was no labels display on the breads. I ordered the bread by instructing her using my fingers pointing the specific breads that I wanted to buy and she got angry for me for not saying jelly roll. I just calm myself and choose not to fight back for I am running for my flight that time. Technology at its best. Everything is automated utilizing tablets . There are around 8 beers on tap, a full bar and quick service. 12 seats at the bar, Anna around 26 tables, including 8 outside the restaurant. The bartender, Wasi, is extremely accommodating, adjusting the tvs to suit Sunday football needs, as well as explaining different drinks to a cute, but not so bright patron sitting nearby. The food looks great And appetizing, however, not worth $22.00 for a Burger, or $16.00 for a grilled cheese sandwich (even if they use fancy cheese). Beers are approximately priced (for ny standards) at $10/pint. The atmosphere is really nice. ..kind of fancier looking, and more if an upscale feel, however, being in the airport (Laguardia ), it is very casual dress. We got off to a bad start...something was floating in my lemonade AND something was floating in my water. At this point I have lost all confidence in the "A" rating that is posted on the wall. When a customer gets a drink and says something is floating in it, customer service 101 says you replace the drink without a detailed investigation about what's floating, personally I was offended. I was browsing through LGA and then I stopped in my tracks...for a gelato case. Whaat? I just ate an entire pizza at Crust, but I got room for gelato. Lots of chocolate choices, but I didn't see the price listed on their menu. I took a chance anyway and got their almond gelato. It was weird... like it had a sour taste to it. My first thought: "Has the gelato gone bad?" Wait, does gelato go bad? I kept eating it though because well, it wasn't too sweet which is what I worry about with most ice creams and desserts. My French onion soup looked nothing like the one advertised, the sugar on the creme brulee was burnt and my margarita barely qualified as a drink.
