4/5 given that it's in flushing but would be 3/5 if it was in Manhattan. Ambiance is nice but the decor is dusty and feels run down. Service is slightly lackluster but I came on a Tuesday ~5pm so I expect it would be different on a Friday / weekend. Food and drinks were good, solid 4-4.5/5.

Review solely based off two drinks but didn't try their food. Both drinks on point however for a full bar they were lacking some ingredients so took me two tries to order my first drink. Simple and common blended scotch such as Monkey Shoulder was out of stock at 5pm on a weekend. That's a bit perplexing to me and would be for any cocktail enthusiast. I gave a 4 star simply due to before mentioned drinks on point, great hospitality by hostess/server and vibes. The Attic is nonetheless a great spot for all Flushing locals.

This review is based off of one drink, but omg it was so strong and so tasty. This is a very cute, dimly lit bar. It was a perfect place for a late night double date. Our waitress so attentive, friendly, and accommodating. I would love to go back and try another drink and some food.

Being at The Attic was a unique experience. I was amazed by the decor against the wall that transported you to back in time. Even the drink menu came in a fitting leather booklet which fit the aesthetic. We had just missed happy hour on a Thursday evening which was from 4-7 pm. Upon sitting down the lights suddenly dimmed, isolating each table. We ordered the Gunpowder and Lucky Me (delicious and not too sweet!) Our drinks paired well with truffle fries. Note that the establishment is more of a bar with little bites. They do have 4 entrees offered if you're interested in having dinner.

I can only speak for the drinks. They were complex and delicious. My favorite was the Andean mojito with Zhumir. They are def nyc cocktail prices. The decor is cozy and elegant. I personally loved the mosaic stairs. It's darkish in there too. Service was attentive and quick and checking if you want to order more. For sure a cute spot for friends or a date.

This place has such an amazing speak easy vibe. The cocktails are delicious and there's a variety which is great! It's Ali's a very intimate spot so it's great for date night. The servers were very attentive and we didnt have to wait too long for anything. And the food though minimal was surprisingly good. If I'm in flushing and looking for a spot, I would definitely revisit

Nice cozy speakeasy in flushing! They have good selection of drinks and cheese platter to complement. The bartenders are also amazing! Shoutout to Luis and James!

Boujie cocktail menu but on a $$ side in downtown flushing. Not that many cocktail bars in Flushing so this place was just what we needed for a girl dinner. Their food menu is super limited. I'd come back if I need a spot to chat and sip on cocktails for hours.

Wanted to check out their happy hour oysters and grab a bite. Located on the second floor and entrance could be easily missed (or maybe I just missed it in a hurry). Service was great, I was there during a weeknight and was seated right away. There's a bar and decent amount of seating. Lots of drinks, small food menu and raw bar menu. The oysters have a happy hour special, they were out of the oyster shooter when I went. Decent oysters, great Wagyu burger, it was super juicy and filling. If you're not a fan of ketchup you should ask for ketchup on the side as there was a good layer of ketchup on my burger.

Awesome speakeasy Ish cocktail bar. I brought my coworkers here a few times for happy hour not only do they have happy hour drinks, but they also have happy hour oysters. I love the interior decor, especially the living room vintage style seating! Being in my Japanese highball phase, they had a great selection of Japanese whiskey. Server was very friendly. I would love to return to try some food!

5 stars for the ambiance and drinks. I'd say 3 stars for the food itself. Ambiance is quite nice as it feels very intimate. Great for a date night or to catch up with a few friends. For drinks, I got the ACA Cucumber and my boyfriend got the Oaxacanite. I didnt have high expectations but I really loved my drink! Super refreshing and to my surprise, quite strong but did not taste like it. My bf also enjoyed his and ended up getting another one. Onto the food, I wish the oysters were bigger. It's priced at almost 2 dollars a piece and I just felt that a lot of the pieces were not worth it. The truffles fries were perfect though -- perfectly crispy. Lastly, the clams were meaty and a good size. The chorizo was just a little stale and disappointing though and didn't really add to the dish. Next time, I'd probably just come for a drink and an appetizer and skip out on the oysters.

    Ashley C.

Ambience was really nice except we got the smallest table when we were ordering food while there were 2 people at a larger table only with drinks. Also the clams were spoiled. They did replace it for us though. Oysters were good and I liked the Wagyu burger.

The Attic in Flushing has been on my to go list for about a year. On Friday 3/21/25 I finally made my way over there. Very excited The sign to the restaurant is small and can easily be missed but once you open the door- the inside stairs leading to the dining room is beautiful. Think mosaic glass & a vintage chandelier. Details definitely matter - once I got to the top of stairs - there were 2 cleaning chemical bottles out in plain view of diners- this took away from the ambiance Regarding service - the server informed us that we can sit anywhere on the right side versus walking us to the table. Once we sat down, we felt the chairs were extremely low. Too low & had no arm rest. Also the restaurant was extremely dusty, almost every piece of furniture was covered with dust. I understand that they are going for a speakeasy vibe & the name of the restaurant is " The Attic" but cleanliness should still be a priority. Small details such as changing the blown light bulbs on the chandelier, dusting the furniture & swapping out badly soiled menus really matters On to the food- started with 1/2 dozen happy hour oysters ( something they are known for) imagine my surprise when I was about to slurp an oyster then realized NONE of them were shucked properly. We ended up shuckin them ourselves. We did not get a small oyster fork, the server gave us regular entree forks. Our oysters did not come with vinegar-- other tables received it. We ordered a bottle of bubbly & it was placed on the table versus in an ice bucket. Once I pointed it out, that's when we received an ice bucket. The $28 wagyu burger was juicy at first then I realized they slaughtered it with ketchup? The only none disappointing item was the $12 truffle fries The drink- I ordered a lemon drop martini ; it tasted more like iced lemon juice. Another disappointing item Overall this restaurant is overhyped and underwhelming. Would not return 5/10

Turns out, very, very, VERY bad. We ordered two cocktails. 45 MINUTES LATER, we were still waiting. I asked our waitress twice where they were. Both times, dismissive and annoyed: "They're coming." At that point I assumed they were being delivered by horseback. The drinks finally came, watered down and mediocre. We eventually ordered a second round, and somehow three different people became involved in getting us drinks. One of them came over to ask for my wife's name for the order (?). I genuinely started wondering if we were applying for a mortgage. How many people does it take to make a cocktail here? Literally let me behind the bar and I'll mix the martini myself. It takes under 60 seconds at any bar in Manhattan, but somehow in Flushing, every drink order takes 45 minutes.

The inside is absolutely beautiful and while they have tables, they also have more traditional floor seating. We got a couple bites of food to eat, some of their tea, and some cocktails. Their food was very mediocre, at best. While the persimmon cake SEEMED to be made in house, it was very clear that everything off their food menu required minimal preparation (ie. for the dumplings, it was just har cow). I also thought their cocktails were okay, and out of the three we got, none stood out to me. I did enjoy their tea, however. But, it was also fairly expensive for what it was (~$50). Overall, I thought this spot was okay for the price and I'm not sure I would return.

We came with a fairly large group and ordered several teas and snacks to share amongst us. There were several options for the flavors of tea and each one had different benefits as well. I loved all of them, particularly the fruitier ones. As for snacks, we had this fried taro snack that had a crispy biscuit outer layer that was delicious. It was a bit of a sweet & savory mix, but not strong in either sweet or salty flavors. There was also this persimmon snack that was filled with nuts and other things. It was slightly sweet, very unique, and both paired well as a tea time snack. They're also open until 11:30pm! It was three oysters, similar to Crown Shy except I wasn't a huge fan of the flavoring here. The nigiri sauce didn't really elevate the flavor of the oysters much as they're already a slightly salty food and a soy sauce sort of just added more salt to it. I think a bit more kick was needed to enhance the flavor profile. The handroll set was pretty good, I liked the spicy tuna the best, then the salmon and then the yellowtail the least. In order, I'd probably give the spicy tuna a 9/10, salmon 8/10 and yellowtail 7/10. However, the tiramisu was fantastic, one of the best tiramisus I have had, creamy, good notes of coffee flavor and wasn't overly sweet. Our server was also very friendly, she showed us how to properly eat the handrolls which was nice. The place also has a nice vibe to it, very relaxing and not too loud or overly grand.
